  1. Mine’s been running in dark mode on my phone and has been glitching on and off through out the day. On safari as well
  2. Lmao. Yeah…. Aggy is going to buy out that 100 mil contract and then all the coaches contracts and then the contracts of the coaches they will hire. I’m this hypothetical game, obviously this one is false.
  3. I love this. I’ve seen texas recruit well on OL in the past only to see them completely fail. I remember the class with Kent Perkin, Darius James, Kennedy Estelle were going to be dominant but none of those guys really developed. This OL class is the best ever from a recruiting standpoint and Flood is regarded as one of the best OL developers along with Cristobal, Pittman, and the Bedenbaugh. Banks was the #1 LT in the country on Saban’s board according to Burton. Cristobal thought Banks and Cam Williams were the best tackle prospects in the country. Outside of those two, Campbell may be the best right now from an athletic and strength standpoint. He’s also plays like Studdard in the sense that he wants to basically fight every play. This OL has lacked that attitude for 15 years. I still remember ou taking late shots on our QB and our OL just standing there clueless. I’m really looking forward to this group and the guys behind them in Neto and Hutson were being recruited by some of the best OL coaches in the country as well.
  4. Yeah, it’s not going to matter. We have two guys in Gilbeau and Ibrahim that are still on the team after getting trouble with the law multiple times. Hell we let a mediocre talent like Joshua Moore stay on the team and we don’t need to discuss the stupid shit he’s done in Austin.
  5. Alright CTJ, someone piss in your cheerios this morning? I’ll stay on this board as I please. Feel free to hit the ignore button, I COULD NOT care less. Happy? While I think you post good content, you’re not immune to dumbass posts. I’ve been on these forums reading your takes back when we’d post on hornfans, scout, shaggy and I’ve seen my fair share. I’m not spouting any “bad” data. I was simply saying that if you’re going to call kids character risks, then share the info. We have different definitions of team leaders etc. Worthy is in half the Instagram content through the school and is a leader based on his production. Is he Sam Ehlinger? no. He was also considered a questionable take from a personality standpoint point through the camp circuits and he’s turned out fine for our locker room. In fact, from what the other players post on their social media, they seem quite fond of him as a teammate, mercenary or not. Anyway, I’m fine with the staff taking Hale. Hell I’d be fine with them taking Evan Stewart if he wants to portal here. I want Texas to win another championship and if we need more Romance Taylors and Evan Stewarts to do that… then I hope Sark gets them.
  6. Hey man, if they can score TDs, then I could care less as you see. My point was that if everyone is going to label him as a problem player, then share the info. Didn’t know that about Stewart. I don’t think negotiating a bag is necessarily a red flag or every Bama player would be considered a risk. That’s what college recruiting is now more or less. Didn’t know about the drug issues but now we know and makes more sense. As far as Worthy and being a mercenary, that was obvious when he dipped from Michigan to play for Sark. He’s here for one reason and one reason only, to go to the NFL. Dude doesn’t care about Texas and that’s fine. That’s what college football is now. Honestly, it’s probably better for Texas because we can at least acquire talent this way.
  7. Yup!! I was listening to Standish compare him to Keenan Allen lol. Smith is a perfect comp.
  8. Cook is a better WR now than most of the guys we had in the room last year outside of Whittington and Worthy. The dude is an elite route runner, better than most college players in this regard, and has long arms and strong hands. Add in his speed and he’s perfect for this offense. Talent wise, I’m not sure there is a better WR in this class. The idiotic 9.95ers have said that the only thing holding him from being #1 WR in his class is his “size”. He’s not very tall and doesn’t have film showing blocking. As we’ve seen from the NFL drafts, those traits don’t exactly matter anymore. I’m sure this has been mentioned before but Cook had an absolutely ridiculous stat last year. He had 19 TDs on 38 receptions in probably the toughest district in the country.
  9. Yeah, I’m going to be honest. I was super excited about PK but last year was probably the worst called defense and development I’ve seen in the 20 years I’ve been watching Texas football. I say that with full understand that this team had talent issues across the board. That’s still not an excuse for the product on the field. We had multiple games where we had 2 score leads at halftime only to blow them away. Even a remotely decent DC should be able to make teams 1 dimensional being up 2-3 scores. In my opinion this defense was setup to fail from the start. Gideon and Davis seemed like they were hired to coach under Muschamp. Then that falls through and we bring in PK. We had huge holes at edge and LB and our DC decides he wants to build his defense around the fucking edges and LBs. On top of that, seemed like the players had 0 understanding of the scheme and the DL front and DB coverages never seemed to be on the same page. Add in starting quitters like BJ Foster all season and it doesn’t surprise me that this was the worst defense in Texas history probably. Unfortunately, we didn’t acquire any remotely decent edge players, LBs, or safeties in the portal. Seems like we will run the same scheme and ask our converted inconsistent LB in Overshown to now play edge and be our pass rusher lol. Ovie was terrible last year and they plan to trot him out again. Jerrin Thompson was terrible last year and he’s the leading candidate start at safety. Really hope Jaylon Ford is progressing bc most of these dudes couldn’t beat out a walk-on in Brokermeyer and a converted WR in Schooler. I listened to Michael Griffin on a podcast and he basically politely said to expect this defense to suck ass again. Bc they haven’t changed anything and now we are relying on guys that couldn’t beat out the shit players we trotted out last year to be the answer…. Hope we are all wrong…
  10. Yea he was. We just didn’t hear about it because we didn’t exactly recruit him until after he committed/signed with Michigan. He was considered a diva and a “me first” player in the camp circles, by the 9.95ers, and other fanbases. As far as Blue, whether he sticks at Texas or not, I don’t know. But RoJo and Bijan have both commented about his work ethic since arriving on campus and how well he has fit in within their position group.
  11. They aren’t going to drop huge bags every cycle. In fact, it seems like they blew their load last cycle which was fucking smart of them given other schools were still navigating NiL. That money has to come from somewhere. These dudes aren’t going to shell out 6-7 figures every year to entitled 18 year olds that may or may not pan out. Add in that everyone is now looking at them after the shenanigans from last year and I’m sure most alumni don’t want to be a part of any investigation. Other blue bloods have money too and players can get paid legally and not have to deal with the media circus those 2022 aggy recruits will have to deal with their entire time there. You’re going to notice Texas, Miami, and USC clean up over time with all the big corporate entities in those big city markets. Only so many NiL deals available at the State Farm Insurance agency and dixie chicken in college station.
  12. I’m not specifically referencing to RGIII. Just have seen Hale referenced as a “character” risk multiple times the last few days and I’ve never seen anything from his recruitment to think that. In fact he seems pretty low key. I could be way off base but put me in the camp that hopes he ends up in burnt orange. A WR group of Cook, Niblett, Hale, Wilson may be the best for the 2023 class.
  13. Yeah, I don’t really care about shitting on kids unless you’re willing to tell us what’s the cause for “character” issues. Evan Stewart seems like a little bitch based on his most recent videos but he doesn’t have “character” issues from what I’ve seen. Now guys like Demond Demas and Joshua Moore 100% have issues. I haven’t seen Jalen Hale break any laws or get kicked off his team. Seems like every school is still recruiting him. Aggy is the only fan base labeling him as character issues and we know why. I will say, lots of other fanbases said Xavier Worthy and Jayden Blue had “character” problems during their recruitments and would be team cancers. One is considered a team leader now and the other one has put his head down and worked since he enrolled and is expected to be a contributor. These 16 year olds are now under a microscope with social media. They are going to make mistakes and do stupid shit like most teenagers. If they are breaking laws, then fair game… otherwise we just look like aggy.
  14. Watts is pretty massive for a CB. He’s bigger than our safeties. In fact, Michael Griffin was laughing on LHN when they were calling him a corner.
  15. This class isn’t bread lol. Bread is Max Merril… Flood has been after Stroh since before we had Kelvin Banks, DJ Dampbell, and Cam Williams committed. Sam Pittman knows a thing or two about OL as well and was after Stroh early as well. I expect he’s going to continue to lose weight once he stops powerlifting. Cam Williams showing up in better shape and showing early signs of being a player is only going to reinforce the type of players Flood wants. Andre Cojoe is like 15 years old and will be 16 turning 17 when he enrolls. He is 6’6 and 330lbs and moves like he is 270 lbs. The guy that trains him also trains DJ Campbell. He said Cojoe did a private work out with Flood and Flood saw his size and athleticism and offered. He also said that he’s competing with guys older than him. He will definitely need time to develop due to his age but he is much further along and would be much more highly rated if he was classified with players in his age group. Same guy trains Gooseby and said Gooseby is a basketball kid that is learning to play OL. He’s just now filling his body and apparently grew like 3 inches and 40 lbs in the last year and he’s not done. He has athleticism most OL don’t. So if there is anything you want to take from this, I expect Flood to go after huge guys and guys that are very athletic. You can teach kids to block, you can’t teach size and speed. This is going to be a top 3 class. Nothing about this class is “bready” outside of Will Randle and everyone knows why he has the offer list he has.
  16. Sugar bowl 2018 in my opinion given the recent decade of failures. We went from. 6-7 win team to playing in the big 12 championship and beating two top 10 teams in ou and UGA. I think we’re more likely to go 10-2 than 6-7 wins. If this staff can’t beat the teams in this league with all the coaching turnover with a “generational” QB, 2-3 NFL WRs, 2 NFL RBs (one who is a Heisman candidate) and a 5 star TE…. Then I’m not sure what else this program can do to be competitive. Gary Patterson helping on defense should be huge as well.
  17. At this point, I really have no desire to speak or be friends with anyone that supports this shit, family or not. There needs to be regulations on guns. You don’t need ARs for hunting or to protect yourself. Allow hunting rifles and handguns and limit how many a person can buy. Must go through a year of courses and must carry insurance. Must need to take continuing education every 2 years to maintain weapon license. I’m a healthcare professional and what I do would never even remotely kill a person. Yet I had to go through school for 8 years, had to take multiple board tests, am required to hold insurance and take 12 hours of CE a year to maintain my license. Yet an 18 year can go buy a deadly weapon that can take lives with no requirements. The fuck is wrong with this country and why the fuck won’t reasonable and responsible gun owners hold their politicians accountable? Especially those with kids.
  18. Malik had a solid year his junior season along with Gary Johnson. That defense was actually pretty good. Did he get drafted in the 3rd or 5th? I won’t say he was a waste of talent but I don’t think he lived up to his 5 star hype whether it was injuries or scheme. Either way, I’d kill for a LB with his talent on this team.
  19. Looks like the staff is probably going to reset their board bc it seems like we’re getting a lot of elite guys giving us a look right now and if we can even remotely be competitive this year, this could end up becoming the #1 ranked class. With that in mind, seems like a lot of guys that we were willing to try the position of their choice are now being told that you either commit to the position we want you or you don’t have a spot. Seems like that may be playing out with Zelance Heard and MHP. We’re going to cherry pick our WRs this year why waste a scholarships. Guys like Duce Robinson, Caleb Downs, the DT from Mississippi, now want to visit.
  20. In all fairness, I probably wouldn’t want to be trucked by RoJo either…
  21. Let’s fucking go! Better hop on the Arch train before spots run out even though numbers don’t matter. LETS FUCKING GO!
  22. I wouldn’t look at the site rankings for OL evaluations. It’s probably the position they hit on the least as far as rankings. Chatman is an elite level prospect and one of the top players on our board. Ou, LSU, aggy, Bama are all recruiting him. He’s a guy that you can expect to contribute year 1 and to compete with the elite guys last year. Last years haul was once in a generation type of class. Bama might be the only school to have multiple 5 star and 4 star guys in one class. You’ll be disappointed every year if you are expecting this. If it makes you feel better, Flood offered Stroh and Cojoe first and has been on them from the start. Flood is regarded one of the best OL evaluators and developers along with Cristobal and Sam Pittman. Stroh is a massive kid and a power lifter. He’s going to shed a lot of the weight off once he reshapes his body from being a power lifter. If he hits, he’s a mammoth. All Ojomo jokes aside, Cojoe is going to be 16 when he enrolls in December. He’s 6’6 and 330 lbs with an 86 inch wingspan. He’s probably a high level prospect in the 2023 class but he’s competing with guys older than him. He will have 2 years of college S&C and nutrition by the time he is 18-19 years old. You know how you build depth? You take players with measurable, stash them away for 2-3 years, and then plug them in when your starting OL graduate and leave for the draft. I don’t know much about Gooseby. I know aggy was recruiting him along with other regional schools.
  23. You must have been born after the Mack Brown days. I remember we got something ridiculous like 15-17 commitments over Jr day one year.
