Same bro, my stonk portofolio is down about 70%. Granted they were all aggressive plays. My hope was one would hit and I would potentially have big gains. So far, just keeps nose diving, I went into with the mindset to at I’m gambling with the money but looking back, I should have just taken a nice ass vacation instead haha

He was returning kicks the year Bama won the title. He's clearly an athletic freak.

I honestly have no confidence in PK. That Arkansas game basically showed me that this guy is in way over his head. He has no idea how to defend big 12 teams. I don't think he even knows the strengths of his own team. He seems to have one scheme and if we don't have the players for it, he seems content on trying the same shit again. He let Kansas score 50+ on us at home. We did absolutely nothing to improve our pass rush. Literally the exact same players. We did nothing to improve our LB corps. Our safeties this year are guys that couldn't beat out BJ Foster and a converted WR. Any DC will probably tell you the easiest way to defend an offense is to have a big lead and you can make them 1 dimensional. We had multiple big leads last year and PK blew every single one of them. I've seen a lot of bad defenses in the last 10 years at Texas and he was by far the worst. Worse than Manny Diaz, worse than Todd Orlando, worse than Vance Bedford. I fully expect him to be fired midway through the year and Patterson to take over. I really hope I'm wrong...

Dude, that WR room honestly was worse than our OL. Outside of those 2 names, one whom can never stay healthy, we had a group of guys that can barely find power 5 landing spots. The only one was Marcus Washington who joined a 3-9 team. That entire room was full of barely division 1 talent. I cannot believe how bad the last staff were at both evaluation and developing. That’s what you get for bringing group of coaches that had 1 year of success at UH, most of whom had never even coached at a power 5 level. Rant over. I love this pickup. If he stays healthy, he can make plays. Great way to add depth with guys that aren’t going to completely bog down your offense if you need snaps from them

For those that are worried about the OL. Banks and Campbell are the type of recruits that Bama, UGA, LSU fight over. Thank goodness for horns with hearts, having Flood, and great timing with Cristoball leaving Oregon bc those 2 are going to be starting by mid season.

Really hoping JWhitt can stay healthy because he’s pretty damn good when he plays. Will never forget his brother calling out aggy for trying to buy him during his recruitment. Dude switched to RB when the coaches asked him to. He always reps the longhorns well. Would really like to see him have a great year and go to the NFL.

Coleman was an absolute terrible recruiter and a bad coach as well. He developed 1 player at KSU a long time ago and somehow managed to get promoted from analyst to our WR coach. Herman is a damn moron for promoting him and I still question how Sark thought it would be good to retain him but let go someone like Hutzler.

Ooof. That is tough man. To lose your front teeth, especially at that age can be traumatizing for a girl. Not to mention the bullying as well. Right now options are going to limited due to her growing and changes in bone and teeth over the next few years. Short term, tell them to create something temporary for her like a clear retainer (similar to the invisalign trays) but with resin teeth in there. The other option is like a partial denture to wear but those tend to be more noticeable and she will probably hate it. We have to basically wait till she's 16-18 years old before the final treatment. Right now, I would see a GOOD periodontist to consult to see what they can do to preserve, graft her bone so she hopefully has enough bone to place implants when she's 16-18 years old. Not sure a periodontist what they will say as 12 years old is pretty young for grafting procedures but I would at least have that conversation. Long term, the best option is to place 3 implants and 3 crowns and shape the tissue around them if possible. That will yield the best results and best long term option. That in itself will be 12-15k for 3 teeth. If implants are not an option, they will need to place a ceramic bridge. For a bridge, you need to cut away adjacent teeth to connect the bridge. It's also a good option but the downsides are you will be cutting away potentially unnecessary tooth structure on the neighboring teeth and the bridge long term will probably need to be replaced every 10-15 years. This option will probably range 5-8k. All of this really depends on the condition of her remaining teeth and bone. Sometimes orthodontists can place an appliance with teeth temporarily while we wait till she's older. This is a tough situation man. Me and a group of doctors here in DFW did a pro bono case for a 16 year old boy that had his front teeth knocked out at age 9 from his abusive dad. It totally ruined his confidence. He started getting in trouble and went to juve for some pretty serious crimes. Anyways, we restored his mouth when he was 16 and you saw an immediate change in his perspective a demeanor . Kids get bullied a lot with this stuff. With everything said, I would see a dentist that has experience with restoring implants in aesthetic areas like the front. They should have working relationships with good specialists that can tag team the case. You should see a periodontist for her implants/grafting rather than an oral surgeon as they tend to be with manipulating soft tissue in aesthetic areas where as oral surgeons generally will just hack everything with little regard to what it will look like when it's healed.

That was my first thought! It's telling that schools like UTSA didn't exactly go after some of these guys we had on our roster.

I also imagine the tax implications of playing in Cali. If we're talking about a million dollar deal, you're probably paying 100k more in taxes. I'm sure housing and car situation will be taken care of for him at either spots. Pretty sure Lambo Austin can give him a 1 year lease for an instagram post. One thing I do want to pinpoint is that Caleb Williams is a bigger running threat than passing threat. Teams later in the year were able to contain him a bit. All of those players are also new to USC. SC was a 4 win team last year. I would argue that is a bigger rebuilding job than Texas right now. Quinn is known for his elite arm and deep ball. That's going to benefit him more than playing next to Caleb Williams. He also gets to play for Marion again and Sark is still the only coach in recent history that can say his WR won a heisman trophy. If Addison is truly going into the portal with an open mind, I like our chances. I'm just not sure if they already agreed on a deal with USC prior to entering.

Who would fare better at RT, Conner or Jones? I have no idea. I do know that Jones was terrible at LT and looked average at best at RT when he previously played there before switching to LT. I think you let them two battle it out at RT. Conner could play RG as well but I think you have to get Campbell on the field. Unfortunately, I don't see anyone supplanting Majors right now. Majors would be a very good center if he could simply get stronger and bigger. He cannot hold up against bigger NTs.

Buying a New Vehicle in this environment

This will not last long. Once the chip shortage is over with, all it takes is a few dealerships to start cutting prices a bit to sell more cars and it will go back to normal. -
The guy is right now the projected #1 pick in the majority of 2024 NFL mock drafts. The kid can throw, Sark and the coaches see it. He’s also been through a fall and spring practice and will go through one more fall camp. He’s going to put up big numbers this year if these freshman OL can be even remotely average which shouldn’t be a huge ask given we just recruited two 5 stars that the rest of college football elites were after in Banks and Campbell. This offense is going to fuck…

Also... Malcolm fucking Epps is one of Riley's starting players right now. Does Addison want to face double teams with Epps next to him or would he like having Bijan, Worthy, Neyor, Whittington, Sanders playing along side him with Ewers throwing him the ball. Add in the fact he gets to continue to be coached by Marion... a guy he trusts. I think this simply comes down to the money and if we can have it lined up for him.
-
I also don't think he'd pull Marion's strings if he wasn't serious. Marion was his position coach during his breakout season, not whoever the coach is at USC. USC has probably a more questionable roster than we do and plays in a conference worse than the big 12 where no one watches their games nationally due to playing in a pacific time zone. If we have the funds lined up, why the hell wouldn't he want to play for a coach he has a great relationship where he's got 2 other skill players that are going to help create a lot of 1 on 1 situations for him. If he chooses, USC... cool. But he's on campus and there's a lot we can offer him if not more than USC when it comes to the total package.
-
Addison is a projected 1st round pick and a Belitnikoff winner with what... 17 TDs last year. Mathis was projected to go undrafted this year and had what.... 3-4 sacks last year? Maybe the people shelling out over half a million dollars for players want their money to go to actual guys that are difference makers. If Mathis was an elite prospect, I definitely didn't see the schools that are making CFP appearances really make a run for him. He ended up at fucking Nebraska where guys like Casey Thompson ended up when they couldn't find a decent landing spot. Mathis is taking the money now because the dude knows there's a decent chance he's an UDFA or very low draft pick at this point.

My wife caught the boss scene where the Serpant boss in Volcano manor rips his sword out of the dragons mouth with all he moving worms or whatever the hell is on the sword. She was utterly disgusted... I had a huge grin on my face haha.

I do. Bijan could be a Div 1 WR if he wanted to out of HS. He's got great route running and hands for a RB. He was essentially our 2nd best receiving threat last year once Whitt got injured. Sanders is basically a WR with elite hands that has now apparently learned how to block. There's not shortage of film of him on youtube mossing players if you want to watch his HUDL. Both Sanders and Bijan can be flexed out and still be a huge mismatch for a defense. Not too many LBs are going to be able cover Sanders, Robinson, Billingsley on routes over the middle without safety help. How many defenses have CBs that can cover Worthy and Neyor 1 on 1 without safety help. I'm really liking how this offense is setting up if we can get these freshman to be able to just play even at an average level.
-
Sark managed having Ruggs, Waddle, Smith, Metchie, Jeudy, Billingsley all on the 2019 team and most of those on the 2020 team as well. All but Billingsley were drafted. These players know they well get their touches and featured in this offense. I would not count on Whittington even lasting half a season. I've heard the same thing every year, that he's taken care of his body and he's in the best shape only for him to get hurt in fall camp or as soon as the season starts. Hall hasn't proven shit and was basically kicked off Bama. He's a guy that I would take a flyer on but you certainly don't want to depend on him. Right now we've got Worthy and Neyor that haven proven to stay healthy, consistent, and can produce. You 100% add Addison if you can. If Whittington wants to explore the portal, let's see which elite offenses are going to guarantee him a starting spot when he's played a total of what 13 games in 4 years so far? If any of Neyor, Worthy, or Whittington get injured, we're basically fucked again like we were last year. You cannot just have 1-2 guy that can play. We have to follow the Bama, LSU, UGA, tOSU model of stacking elite talent in a room and let it sort itself out.
