Given the rumors, I’m going to guess this wasn’t leaked from Sark’s people. Doing this right before a game is a pretty sure fire way to get your players to check out completely, coaches to quit on you looking for another place to land, and recruits to bail. This doesn’t benefit Sark in anyway to let this out. What NFL team would want to hire a moron that would do something like this mid season when you still technically have a route to win the conference as unlikely as it seems.
Anyone notice how skinny Sark got after putting on the pounds last season? He has his own personal problems in life. Dude announced a divorce last season publicly and then has a newborn a few months later? What the fuck? There were rumors from credible people here that Sark was still drinking at Bama. I imagine, the success he’s had the last two years opens the door for a lot of partying.
The above is all speculation on my part. But none of those makes Sark or Texas look good. Given the amount of money on the line, I can’t see Texas sitting back and letting this dude burn the program down. I’m fully prepared for transfers to start popping up and recruits to start de-committing. Given the timeline of coaching hires now… if you know he’s checked out or trying to move on, you gotta find your next replacement soon. If not, that mother fucker CDC is going to hire Sonny Dykes…
Lol... Flood has put how many OL in the NFL in his 4-5 years here? and how many were drafted in the 15 years prior? Look our OL issues are there but don't be stupid. Neto was "difficult" during his recruitment if you don't remember. $9.95s implied that he was pretty much a jerk during his entire recruitment. It's why none of them had any idea where he was going. He was set to go to Bama and then did a 180 last minute and committed to Texas. If I remember correctly, his parents may have forced that decision as he has siblings at Texas. This staff has no problems playing guys with character issues or divas as we saw with Isiah Bond, Worthy, Cook, and some of the Bama cast offs. If Neto hasn't gotten a single snap when we are desperate at the position, it very likely has to do with Neto than Kyle Flood. Don't be stupid.
I put a small position of 2k back in just to see where it goes through next week for the thrill of it. I'm the same. These were all for fun and prevents me from doing dumb shit with my actual retirement accounts.
Yeah, this was a crazy run up for REE. I wish I timed my exits better but still came out on top thanks to UUUU. Took those profits and put it in BYND and gained another 55%. I was up over 100% at one point on beyond and got greedy and waited too long to sell. Either way, these stonks finally did something and I'm going to pay off my wife's beamer with it.
Also, I got out of AMY and IBRX. Huge losses on both but wanted to offset my taxes. I've been waiting on IBRX forever. Even if it hits, it would need to get to $32+ for me to break even. Feels good to get those stonks off my accounts.
So I unloaded my beyond position for 55% profit. I'll take that. I should have fucking sold when it opened over $7 but got greedy. Anyone thinking of buying if this dips low during the afternoon for another potential run up like yesterday?
I sold my uranium positions at a 3x profit. Took a 40% loss on a smaller Uuraf position and dumped it all in Beyond at $3.30. This thing is nearing $4 after hours.
Yeah, I’m down 40% on UURAF in just a few days. I’m still holding on to UUUU. I thought yesterday’s news with Australia’s partnership would maybe push this back to $24-25 but it’s dropping again. Hopefully good news comes Oct 23rd with a DOE announcement but that is just hope on my end. I’m going to wait till Thursday/Friday. If these stocks keeps dropping, I may just exit all together. Gonna take a loss on UURAF. I don’t have as much confidence after doing some reading on Ucore. I do think UUUU is positioned very well however. Listened to an interview with a long term investor that went the open house. Basically said big name banks, people from hedge funds and government officials were all there. UUUU is fully permitted and is already capable of producing heavy rare earth metals. I think their Q3 earnings will not be great as he stated they have been using their uranium mill to work on rare earth metals while the white mesa mill was worked on. Now they will use the white mesa mill to work on heart rate earths and their Arizona mill to will go back to producing uranium giving them two revenue streams. They are raising funds to double the size of the white mesa mill to meet demand for heavy rare earths. Ucore is not anywhere near this and I feel is more speculative and needs a lot of factors to fall in place. permitting can take years and UUUU is already permitted and ready to go. I just don’t know if this stock is going to stay in the $20+ range forever, it can easily drop back down to $15. I may eat my losses on Ucore and take my profits on Energy Fuels and walk away all together in the green. The ride up for the REE was unreal.
He made the playoffs at SMU, can easily recruit DFW, and has a wealthy alumni base looking for reasons to throw money at the program. Why the hell would be leave that for Arkansas, where the AD has publicly stated that their HC will need to work around their NIL limitations?
As for the thread topic, I do think Sark is a talented OC. He has proven that early in his career and later in his career. I do think the book is out on how to defend his current system. He needs to make changes to his offense. I do think he has the ability to do that and do it well once he realizes he needs to do that. He stated as much in his press conference today about looking at himself in the mirror. Most HC’s can’t even do that. With that said, given everything on his plate, it is impossible for him to gameplan, think about adjustments, and carry on all the HC duties and do them all well. I think it would benefit him to hire someone that is willing to run his offense, take his feedback and direction, but can also spend every minute of the day game planning while Sark is busy performing HC duties. I think it would help him and this team if he was watching the game like the rest of us to allow him to make adjustments and coach his players vs thinking about which play to call next.
What happened was you have a true freshman LG and a back center playing together for the first time. Both had their first road start in their careers. Robertson couldn’t block anyone and Brooks basically couldn’t handle any stunts and twists. When you have a bad OL, try to simplify it. Instead of having them go backwards and pass protect, have them go forward and push someone. Except…. We have 1 running back on this entire fucking roster that can run and he’s beat up bc he’s a change of pace back that we have running inside.
Sark gets a fucking failing grade for the offense he has put together this season. Wingo absolutely terrible. I cannot believe Sark used him in the same breath as Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams. He’s a jag that cannot get separation, has shitty hands, and is a shitty blocker. DeAndre Moore is our veteran WR leader and he showed his poor IQ last night. Endries can’t block for shit. He got abused last night. Arch can’t hit easy crossing routes, looks uncomfortable throwing a simple screen, and is mentally broken from the hits he has taken this season.
This offense is on par with the Charlie Strong/Shawn Watson experiment. A total failure. Sark needs to have play sheet stripped of him. Get a legit OC. Hit the portal hard. Every position needs to be open to competition next year. Get rid of guys that are eating up money like Baxter and Wingo. You can’t produce? Then see ya later. This is a fucking business now. These players leave the minute they get a better offer. On the flip end, they need to be “cut” if they can produce on the field whether it be injuries or just plain sucking. And the offensive portal additions were fucking terrible. Good thing we got Mosley who can’t do shit while teams like aggy got Conception and Craver… guys that can get separation and can catch. Somehow, in year 5, we have a drastically worse offense than we had with fucking Casey Thompson in year 1.
There were some big volume buys over the last few days that gives me hope that institutions and betting on uranium. These sell offs seem more like retail investors taking their profits. Hoping the falls stop today and we see some momentum back in the positive. UUUU has their earnings report coming up. Hopefully some good news coming.
Hopefully UURAF still trends upward. I don’t know as much about them as I do UUUU.
Yeah, I should have sold these at their peak. UUUU is taking a beating. Down to $20 after hours. UURAF made it's way back to $6 right at the close. Hope fully this rebounds back but whatever gains were made were lost and then some.
@Harrison Stafford
Just bought700 shares of UURAF at $7.10. Not the massive position you have in it but want to ride the uranium train up. Tried to buy ARSMF but I moved funds over and it won't let me buy till funds clear for stocks under $1. Also looked at GPHOF. Which of these would you buy if you had to pick one?
UUUU broke $27 today. Crazy that we were talking about it breaking $17-18 2 weeks ago.
AMYZF nearing 0.20. Perhaps this stocks isn’t dead yet. I’m just hoping to recover half my losses on this one and I’ll walk out happy.
Fuck! I was thinking about putting money in UURAF today. Did I miss the boat here @Harrison Stafford? Just had my 2nd kid 2 days ago and putting decent cash aside for his 529 but was thinking of putting it in UURAF instead. Wife is against the idea. If it drops, she’d cut me. She’s just now stopped rolling her eyes at me with my IBRX and AMY losses with the UUUU gains. But if this thing is going to $20, I may roll the dice.
Ofcourse. 4 of those 9 losses were against uga and Ohio state. And then of those 9, how many were in year 1 and 2 when he took over an absolute abortion of a roster left by Herman? I think there are only 2-3 active coaches that have an above .500 record against top 10 opponents. Those are Dabo, Smart, and Day if I remember. So unless one of them is coming here, you’ll still be displeased with the other 100+ coaches that also have a sub .500 record against top 10 opponents.
I personally want Sark here. I don’t expect him to take us to the playoffs every year. But I do expect him to make a deep run every 2-3 years. He’s already proven that. He’s beaten our rivals more times than not, many in embarrassing ways. The guy is a fucking Bert Auburn missed FG away from having two conference championships. Recruiting is better than it ever has been. Roster is loaded with young talent.
Now, I am also very frustrated like yourself about him not addressing the issues that this team had and still has. He got us out of the OL black hole we were trapped in for 15+ years. Let’s give the man a chance to do it again. Looks like Nick Brooks improved a ton in 1 week. Let’s see if these guys can gel. If so, everything is still in front of us. Hook ‘em man. Sorry, just feel good about this win after all the constant negativity.
