  1. So looks like he visited ou and now bama since he committed to Texas. Blue is on decommit watch as well. Let’s see how this plays out…
  2. Let’s see if Tucker offers Winfield at LSU… lots has to happen for that to play out and even if it did, he isn’t exactly a scheme fit for this offense.
  3. Anyone invested in AMD or know anything about it? I have friends that know their shit investing in it heavily.
  4. Absolutely. But Sark isn't going to fix this on his own. It's clear that we are at a talent disadvantage. We will not be competitive running this program clean. The college football landscape has changed. Our AD, coaches, and alumni need to figure out how to get the elite top players in here quick... and it starts with the OL.
  5. You can pick countless plays this season where we have the right play call and the players simply completely fail to execute. Last week, I saw Sark call the perfect play where Joshua Moore ran a slant. He beat his man there wasn't a single defender in front of him. Ball was thrown perfectly, it hit his hands, and he dropped an easy catch. If he catches that, that results in a 70 yard TD. Every game, we have plays like this where it's a great call and the players either false start, drop a pass that hits their hands, QBs overthrow a wide open WR by 5 yards, we miss an easy tackle or we get called for a personal foul after stopping the opposing offense on an important 3rd down. The title of this season should be self inflicted wounds. How much are the coaches to blame? I have no idea. But at some point, these players need to look at themselves in the mirror.
  6. Lots of good posts in this thread. We are basically Tennessee but with more money and bigger ego. Mack completely left this program in shambles and deficient in talent. We hired a "football coach" instead of a CEO with Strong. Strong is good at talent evaluation, and his strengths stop right there. He didn't bother to recruit until December and he cared more about being a good role model and father figure to his players than a football coach. That was a terrible football hire, he was probably 5th on our list of candidates that would even show up to an interview. Strong was probably fired too late and those 3 years of fighting for bowl eligibility took this program from mediocre under Brown to the gutter. I don't care what anyone says, the 3 years Strong was here was the worst football I've seen at Texas. We were getting blown out game after game in the first quarter and the team would give up. We had 5 scholarship OL one spring. We didn't even have enough OL to field a 2nd team in our spring game. Then we go on to Tom Herman. Herman, believe it or not, isn't a bad coach. He took a dumpster fire from Strong and made us at least competitive. He recruited well. His downfall was being a fucking douche and thinking he was the smartest guy in the room. He also had no idea how to develop players once they got here. As someone pointed out, look at those recruiting rankings and look at the elite talent that never was developed. There is a reason we have the lowest blue chip development of all power 5 programs. This program is where good players destroy their careers. Now we have Sark. A guy that has never proven to be an "elite head coach". He's one of the best offensive minds, but he has clear issues as a head coach. He's taken over a program that is fundamentally flawed, entitled, and lacks elite talent and depth. He knows this. We need an infusion of talent on this roster. We will not get this talent unless we show wins or we start paying them like UGA, aggy, Oregon, LSU, Bama does. Until we get them, we are at the talent level of TCU, okie state, Baylor. Firing Sark and company isn't going to fix this. This athletic department needs to look at themselves in the mirror and figure out if they only care about dollars or if they want a winning program. If they want a winning program and want to be competitive in the SEC and beat our rival, then we need to fundamentally change how this program is run from recruiting, to coaching, and to how entitled and coddled these players are. The fact that Jerrin Thompson is still playing meaningful downs after straight up giving up on tackles twice against ou that both resulted in long TD runs should tell you what we are... soft team with no depth.
  7. PK's resume and player development from the draft obviously speaks for itself. With that said, he hasn't exactly faced the coaches and offenses you see in the Big 12 like on a consistent basis like he did in the PAC 12. I understand the scheme. They want to create turnovers and limit teams to FGs and limit the big plays. His defense relies on the D line holding his blocks and letting the linebackers eat. The problem we're having is that we have a very talent and depth deficient LB room. Our team keeps giving up big plays when the entire defense is built to prevent that. Our edge defenders cannot hold up and we get absolutely get abused in the run game when they go outside. He needs to get way from what he is comfortable with and he needs to stop forcing this team into his scheme. I watched Keondre Coburn play very well the last 2 years. We're asking him to take on double teams and that is not his strength. We have plenty of talent on the interior D-Line. We should not be asking them to hold blocks and letting a weak position group try to make the plays. He needs to go to a 4 man front and ask our D-Line to to simply beat their blocks and get pressure. I really believe this defense would play a lot better. Right now, we can't get a pass rush with this 3 DL scheme... we are starting walkons and backup transfers from other programs at LB/Edge, and our Safeties are terrible. Right now his scheme is resulting in teams being able to run on us and because we can't get pressure, they're able to pass on us as well. I would go with a lineup of Collins- Coburn- Sweat- Ojomo. Any OL is going to have a tough time running on a big line up like that and Ojomo and Collins are athletic enough to get pressure. There's obviously no Joesph Ossai, but I bet you no LT wants to go up against Collins every play. Jett Bush should never see another snap. Ask your DL to simply play physical, collapse the pocket, and pray that your LBs and DBs can make the plays they need. When he can get the players needed for his scheme, go ahead and play this bend but don't break 3 DL scheme. But until then, he needs to figure out how to best utilize our personnel instead of forcing them into his scheme.
  8. His friend and former teammate is a walk-on at Texas. That's why he's hanging out with them... it's because he knows them.
  9. He didn't even opt out bro. His teammates and coaches kicked him off the team.
  10. Obviously the defense performed better. But when the game is on the fucking line, they collapsed. It sucks that they held up the whole game while the offense did jack shit, but when the game is on the line... you have to fucking pull through. 2 weeks in a row where they gave up the lead in the 4th quarter. This team is fundamentally flawed. We lack elite talent. The coaches are not putting the talent we have in the right positions on defense. I've come to terms that 2005 was a catching lighting in a bottle and I fully expect to wait another fucking 30 years before our next championship... hopefully I'm alive and not in the ground. Until we get another VY, we are what we are.
  11. Same bud. I stupidly bought at .95 and it's tanked. Just going to cut my losses and hope UUUU goes to the moon so I can recover my losses.
  12. You want to make a difference, stop giving money to this program. I stupidly came into town and bought tickets to support this team like I do every year. This athletic department only cares about dollars. Make it clear that us alumni will not support this bullshit. That’s when they will do whatever it takes to win.
  13. I’ve seen this play out every year. Recruits are looking for a reason to come here and we put shit performances like the one today where they realize their potential will be more likely developed elsewhere. Don’t get your hopes up. I’m expecting offers to the likes of Max Merril to go out after this season once we whiff. This staff is one of the highest paid and osu just our coached us at home. Until we buy recruits, I expect us to be in the same tier as Baylor, TCU, osu. Hell those teams have accomplished more in the last decade than we have. I’ve become apathetic to this program and I regret fucking traveling down to Austin, paying for tickets, and witnessing the same bullshit I see every year. It’s one thing to meltdown against a “top” team like ou…. It’s another to do it to Oklahoma state at home. Just completely disappointed.
  14. Ou has 4-5 players in their front 7 that are going to get drafted or find their way on an NFL roster. Caleb Kelly (former 5 star), Nic Bonnito (basically he’s having a Joesph Ossai type year), Ronnie Perkins, Perrin Winfrey, and Isaiah Thomas. We’re not going to see that level of talent the rest of the year. With that said, we can’t keep whiffing on elite OL talent. It has to stop. We’ve hired apparently the best OL coach in college football yet he seems to be struggling to recruit here as well. I don’t know what it’s going to take to turn it around outside of transfers.
  15. Hey! We have coaches that know how to get our best players the ball and put them in positions where we can highlight their strengths! What a novel concept…. Fuck Herman. In just 6 games, we have a Heisman candidate at RB, and the best WR in the Big 12. Props to Sark and company. I’ve also seen the best special teams play at Texas the prime Mack years. Is this what it’s like to have good coaches?
  16. Bro, our team is putting up more points this year than any year I remember since Colt. Our OL was exposed during the Arkansas game. You don’t think tech, tcu, and ou knew that. We’re still improving. I like what I see. And guess what, most teams outside of Bama and UGA have OL issues and that includes ou. This line is needs improving but they are good enough for us to win every remaining game on the schedule. We’re 6 games into a new system with players that weren’t recruited for it and we look a lot better offensively than I expected. It’s actually the defense that sad me surprised with how much they have regressed. Some of you guys need to take a step back and see the improvement from playing hero ball with Sam the last 4 years.
  17. You sound like you sit on your toilet seat when you take a piss. osu is not as good as ou on either side. We’re going to win that game. We have the biggest pussies in our fan base. We’re 4-2, we’re putting up big numbers and we’re probably 1 incredible catch from Marvin Mims away from being 5–1 and a top 15 team. Stop being such a bitch and let this season play out. I bet we end up 9-3 or 10-2 this year which will be a damn good season considering the circumstances.
  18. Yeah, neither of those two have the speed X has. They also didn’t have an offensive genius that knows how to scheme his best players open like X does. I think he’s going to put up monster numbers this season and we’re lucky that Michigan fucked up his enrollment. On a side note, Sark needs to show Evan Stewart every Devonta Smith and Worthy highlight clip. For the first time, we can show skill player recruits results. The days of losing the JK Dobbins, Jaylen Waddles and Garrett Wilsons are over. Hey Evan, you know Sark will get you production. Ask Mullen how his star WRs look this year??
  19. Last year they went up big on us and we came back. This game is always that way. Same thing happened in 2018 but we made a few more plays and that was the difference. Today ou made those plays. Caleb Williams is fucking good. This one just stings because we all thought we had this game won being up 21. Team needs to regroup and show up for osu bc there’s a lot of football to be played and we still control our own destiny with regards to making it to the big 12 championship game. With that said our fan base is a bunch of bitches quitting on this team after a close loss in a tough game. Let’s go drop 50 on osu next week and keep improving.
  20. We lost on a last minute play in a rivalry game against a top 10 team. Nothing humiliating about it.
  21. What the hell is wrong with you dude. That’s going to be the hardest game ou plays all year. We forced them to bench their quarterback and the reason the score was 28-7 is because our coaches were pantsing then. They made adjustments and they made some incredible plays to win a rivalry game. It happens. How do you want Sark to stop that perfect throw and incredible catch by Mims? How does sark stop Worthy from fumbling? How do the coaches stop a 4th and 1 50 yard TD when the players can’t make the tackle? I know it sucks, but you need to understand that this team is not as talented as ou. We’ve also been completely outclassed from a coaching perspective by Riley under strong and Herman. I don’t know if there’s a better coach outside of Saban in college football that can beat Riley consistently. But today I saw Sark punch that ou team and Riley in the mouth with a mediocre quarterback and players that are not at the same talent level. When we get Arch Manning and more players like Worthy, we’re gonna fuck shit up and don’t hop back on the bandwagon.
  22. Yes, I would like that too but sucks that he has his eyes set on TE.
