  1. edit.. double post
  2. I'm very excited to see what our secondary can do this year. Josh Thompson always gets hyped every off season and then he either gets injured or I just don't notice him during the year. He's got NFL size and athleticism. Let's see if he can put it all together this year with a coaching staff that knows how to develop DBs. I expect to see more of the same from Jamison. Playmaker, aggressive, fast. I also expect him to get beat from time to time. With his aggressive nature and his size, it's going to happen. Having Dunn and Crawford back up those guys is a luxury. Both of those guys are P5 starters at other schools. The both have NFL size and athleticism. I'm hoping they learn and get valuable playing time this year because we will need them both to start next year. Adimora is going to get drafted. Enjoy him this year. Having Cook behind him is a luxury with his experience. I'm really curious to see our safeties. BJ Foster has to put it together this year. He had a phenomenal freshman year making plays. Then he basically played with 1 shoulder all of his sophomore year. I'm not sure if he's lost confidence or if he was being misused. I really hope PK uses him to his strengths which is to play near the line of scrimmage and blitzing the QB. Seeing our 5 stars regress after showing promising freshmen years needs to stop with this coaching staff. Not sure what to think of Jerrin Thompson with his limited sample size . Then we have Schooler. From the practice reports, he seems to be making plays against the 1st team offense playing on the 2nd team D. I expect to see him quite a bite. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Foster and Schooler starting back there. Keep Foster closer to the line and have Schooler play back and utilize his speed.
  3. I love Ricky. I wish I had some highsman to celebrate 4/20 today.
  4. Nah bro, Sark would take him in a heart beat. He's moved on. We'll still recruit great QBs under Sark. I think Sark is going to land Manning if he can show a good offense this year. I just have this gut feeling. I feel better about him now than I did about Ewers at any point, even when he was committed to us.
  5. I mean he's committed to another program, told us no already. We also have another QB committed in this class that is recruiting for us. Reading the tea leaves, it seems like Sark conveyed to Ewers that we had another QB ready to commit and they wanted to know where he stood. Ewers probably said he's good with his commitment to tOSU. Sark probably then told him to let him know if/when he changes his mind. So yeah, I figured they'll probably have minimal contact and I'm guessing that will only change if we blow the doors open this fall with a bombass offense or if tOSU tanks for whatever reason. Until either of those happen, Ewers to Texas is wishful thinking.
  6. I mean, why not when you can. I’m hoping Sark has learned from Saban how to keep talent coming and pushing the gray area.
  7. I went apeshit when my fridge didn't show up on my scheduled delivery date. We had waited two months and they told me it would be another two months. Went down to the store to bitch them out and returned my order and bought the same fridge with same day delivery at Best Buy. All of our furniture from Crate and Barrell took 4 months. I'm about to order some damn curtain rods and it won't be shipped till fucking June.
  8. alright... looks like the bleeding on IBRX has stopped for now and hopefully this thing rockets back to $39-40 so I can double up.
  9. Alright, here's the plan. We need the people on the sugar baby thread to set up a few dinners with their Columbian thots with potential visitors in June. Hornsfromdallas can get back into his group text and get the players and recruits at a bar with a bunch of sugar babies. We'll call it the surly 9.95 happy hour tab. There's a recruit in the small town where my practice is that's going to be a 2023 5 star that is trending to aggy. I'm hiring more staff soon so if any 5 star's uncle or momma needs a $12-18 per hour paid job, I gotchu! That's about all I can do with my limited resources. Now you old fucks with a lot of money and access to the coaches/program should easily be able to get Jeff Banks on the phone and ask him to connect you with a trainer that can set up the bag network. I mean did Jay Valai not share his knowledge with anyone all of last year? Clearly he knows how the game is played or he wouldn't have ever been considered for the Bama job with his 2 years of actual coaching experience. And who needs offshore accounts? Fucking Tennessee was handing McDonald's bags of cash. It doesn't have to be that complicated. I know you're sick of these posts, but I'm sick of watching every elite recruit commit to other programs. Fucking Mike Roach recently stated on his podcast that Waddle was a silent commit to Texas during the spring until basically Bama and aggy started the bidding for him. If the same happens with Evan Stewart, I'm going to lose my shit and write more stupid posts on this board.
  10. Te deseo was okay. Fun vibe but the food was your standard and basic tex-mex. I was a big fan of Tulum. It's not tex-mex, more like food from Mexico City. They cooked their octopus perfectly and it was damn near inedible at Te Deseo. Desert Racer is fun to go look at gen z co-eds that are dressed up for instagram pics. Other than that, I thought the food was terrible.
  11. bbbop? the chain? bro, you need to hit up korea town in Carrolton and get some legit Korean wings.
  12. Why can't you rich fucks start dropping bags? What was the point in hiring Banks and Bo Davis if we aren't going to pay to win these recruitments. We need get our bag network setup asap.
  13. I work in healthcare. My inventory orders have gone up insanely high. Things I used to buy for $3-4 are now $30. A box of gloves used to be $10. I now pay $43 for a box of gloves. I'm about to raise my prices about 25-30% across the board to keep up with the rising costs of materials in healthcare. Oh also, staff is now demanding insanely high pay. I cannot find a hygienist to hire. They all want $50+ an hour with benefits. Insurance reimbursements are like $40-60 a cleaning. I'm not even breaking even but losing money on some procedures. It's insane now what patient have to pay for health/dental care. My wife and I also just recently bought a house. We had to wait 4+ months for appliances and furniture and shit wasn't cheap. My friends in the restaurant business are all suffering. They all complain to me about how expensive their inventory orders and deliveries are as well.
  14. yup... this guy should be thankful he was wearing a uniform. Had he been in civilians clothes, I have no doubt that cop would have shot him. He fucking maced him as the guy was sitting with his hands up simply asking the cops to calm down and to talk to him about why he was being pulled over. Had those fuckers just asked him where his license plate was, this could have all been avoided.
  15. There needs to be a separate entity created that polices the police. This is insane. In my field or any field, if I even so much as forget to get a fucking signature for a consent, I pay consequences and my license to practice is in jeopardy. These morons can go around fucking tazing and shooting people, yet there are no damn consequences. Why was the police officer so aggressive and cussing? I would have been fired at every job immediately had I behaved that way, even if it was provoked. Yet this is acceptable in the police department? Cops need to be the ones under control and the ones that need to maintain their composure. Props to that civilian who remained calm. It's time we bump the cops salary to 6 figures and only hire people that meet the criteria to be a cop. And when they fuck up, they should be charged and sentenced to the same assault crimes that civilians face. Why the hell is this so hard?
  16. Put Bijan in gawd damn bubble wrap. I saw enough from his break out run where he spun, juked, and stiff armed a defender in one run. Some guys have elite traits and Bijan and Jordan Whittington both have it. Put them in bubble wrap because I'm worried what this offense will look without those two players
  17. I doubled my position yesterday on IBRX. Should have waited... fuuuuuuuck
  18. You can possibly open an HSA account where you deduct the taxes now when you contribute. I believe with TD ameritrade you can actually invest it into their funds and then if you use it on medical expenses when you are older, you don't pay taxes when you withdraw, almost like double dipping. I read this years ago but haven't actually tried it. I could be wrong and missing details but it was one avenue I was looking at to try to limit my tax exposure. Maybe someone in finance/investing field can chime in.
  19. This is exactly what I do as well. Wife and I max out or Roths and then she contributes to her 401k up to company match. I have mine in a target retirement fund but I'm going to start putting it in VTSAX from here on out. Vanguard has the best fees. I also play around with day trading with 15-20k where I just end up losing money to be honest through fidelity.
  20. Man, I wish I pulled out all of it at $39 for IBRX instead of a small amount but now I'm down quite a bit so I'm going to hold. IBRX is volatile. It will go back up. Not sure why it fell so much as there wasn't any bad news or anything. I may actually double my position. I was waiting for it to dip initially but bought probably a month too soon. When it jumps, it normally jumps fast. I'll wait for @Harrison Stafford to chime in.
  21. Correct. It's been years since I was doing back door but this is what I remembered. I was lucky in that I was fresh out of school and didn't have retirement at the time so I just started doing a back door Roth right off the bat.
  22. First, to do this, you cannot have a current investments in an IRA account I believe. Or maybe you can but you it complicates it. If you currently do not have any IRA accounts, I think this should be pretty simple for you. I opened a traditional and roth account. Put the money in the traditional. Then transfer it to the Roth account (convert it... or whatever you call it). Make sure you don't take a tax deduction from the traditional now as you will want to take the tax break on the gains from your Roth down the line. You will need to fill out the 8606 form for the IRS when you submit your filing each year (THIS IS IMPORTANT, your accountants should help you with this. If you do it yourself you will need to make sure you put the correct information in the correct boxes). You will need to do this process every year. You do not need to open a new account every year. As long as you have a deposit every year, your traditional should stay "active". The link below should help you. https://www.whitecoatinvestor.com/backdoor-roth-ira-tutorial/
  23. Same, why release a console system when you can’t get enough product out for people to actually buy. on the bright side, there should be better games out by then
  24. Lol at that bitch mike roach making them correct the photo credit
  25. Same. Down 10-20% across the board
