  1. I appreciate all the input. The meeting this morning went well. The one hiccup was that the initial summary I sent last night with a screenshot was trapped in his spam folder so when we showed up he had no clue of the issue. He grasped it pretty quickly and acknowledged the obvious. It was beyond inappropriate and he would have to do an investigation of the situation. Contact the district office and HR etc. We submitted a statement as well as our daughter. There’s already been phone calls back and forth with him providing more info. Screenshots of him commenting on other students posts and so on. I’m glad we kept her home today, because I’m assuming the coach was at the school today since they were unaware of the gravity of the situation. We went to the principal first because it seemed like a good place to start. He’s a young go getter, former military type. By the book I would guess. We’ve been satisfied with his response so far. We’ve been on the fence about involving the cops because we were unsure of the illegality of everything and our daughter has seemed very unfazed by it. She’s pretty naive. Only when I compared the situation to me texting one of her friends and telling them that they’re hot did she grasp the grossness of it all. We’re worried about her having to go through a bunch of police interactions and somehow coming out thinking she is to blame or feeling any shame at all. That’s my #1 concern navigating this situation. On the other side if we do call the cops, they’ll have some kind of cyber expert that can really determine what activity this guy has been up to with all the girls. I’m a little concerned that he’s already tried to cover his tracks. I think we’ll decide whether to call the cops after our next in depth conversation with the principal. Hopefully soon.
  2. Looks like we’ll find out pretty quickly. Meeting with principal at 825. The perp was tipped off and changed the account name and avatar associated with the message. I’m guessing when he was told to stay home today he figured it out. Obviously we have screenshot of the message and also of his vanilla comments on other 12 year old girl friends’ TikTok videos.
  3. Yes Not sure if it’s truly illegal. Going to see what principal says tomorrow. Already done. She’s not going to school tomorrow.
  4. My daughter is 12 years old and in the 6th grade. There’s been a male coach in his early 20s at the school that has behaved strangely toward her this year. He lets her and her friends charge their phones in his room. He gives her candy (stereotypical I know) despite not being her teacher. Well last night on a kids chat app she wrote one of those messages saying ask me anything. He responded simply, “your hot”. My wife and I are livid. We asked our daughter if she had received anything like this before from him and she denied it. I tend to believe her, but I’m still concerned. The message as sent read almost like his first little line he threw out there. Hoping for a response like lol you’re crazy or whatever. I think/hope we’ve caught this creep making his attempted first move. Does anyone here have any experience with this type of situation? We’ve already notified the principal at the school of the situation via email. Originally we wanted to let him know in person, but he was unavailable until after school so I felt it couldn’t wait. We’re unsure what the school protocol would be for handling this or if it involves police. I’d love to hear any input from those with experience or in school administration.
  5. How are you accessing Twitter? I use the mobile app and haven’t been logged out once. Also, I haven’t seen a single email begging me for $8. Maybe because no one really wants to? The only people really building one out that I know of are people you probably don’t like, Bitcoiners. That’s because they actually care about centralization of power and censorship. It’s buggy and slow but a lot of people are working on it. https://nostr.how/en/what-is-nostr https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2023/04/11/how-to-get-started-with-nostr/?sh=25074adc406b It’s a bunch of larping. For all of Elon and Twitter’s faults, it’s the best news aggregation site out there by a mile. The best, most informative thread on this whole forum is 99% sourced by Twitter and the tweets are shared by the very same people here talking shit constantly about Elon.
  6. The first 15 mins of this podcast is an interview with a couple SpaceX board members that were at the launch. Don’t listen any further unless you want to be triggered by hearing David Sacks’ voice. A few interesting points I wasn’t aware of. Larger rocket will decrease cost of taking payload to space by 50x. Currently variable costs are $15M for 17 metric tons. New rocket costs $2M for 100 metric ton load.
  7. Sounds right. The Governor agrees with this sentiment. Calling in more resources. "Two truths can coexist at the same time: San Francisco’s violent crime rate is below comparably sized cities like Jacksonville and Fort Worth—and there is also more we must do to address public safety concerns, especially the fentanyl crisis," Newsom said.
  8. Digging the burnt orange Nike gear for the clay court season. I'm guessing it's supposed to match the clay, but sure looks burnt orange on TV.
  9. SIAP long, but great footage of defense and tactics in Bakhmut. The drone stuff is pretty cool.
  10. Sorry, I have teenagers. Let's use lame if you'd prefer.
  11. I’ve smoked more weed than most people on this board, but the whole 4/20 thing is incredibly cringe. Only way to make it more cringe is to have a 53 year old stroke victim holding up some dorky weed paraphernalia. Grow up.
  12. Yes he wants it to be like WeChat. Elon loves the CCP model. If you think about it he’s already rolling out his own version of a social credit system. Just pay for bigger reach on app. Don’t pay, you’re restricted.
  13. I would take the bet that we don’t see a single print under 3% before EoY. You’re in multi-family right? The next big shoe to drop imo will be with commercial real estate. Big write downs have to happen on a lot of properties and their debt. That debt is owned by a large spectrum of investors. Will touch pretty much everyone. What size of bailout will that demand?
  14. Bitcoin mining has zero emissions. Neither do EVs. Don’t believe me? How about this Tesla I saw in SA yesterday.
  15. Oh, come on. You’re a little touchy. This thread is more Fed bad than anything else.
  16. They’re close to the highs. Record was maybe after a recent indictment.
  17. The world’s largest democracy. Seems like we should lean towards working with them.
  18. Of course. Here, I realize he’s “joking”, but there’s a little truth behind every joke.
