  1. Big weekend in Philly with Orville Peck on Friday and Fontaines D.C. on Sunday. I might experiment with not drinking for Fontaines so I can get a GA spot early and just stay put. They're such an awesome live show (Orville too but we have seats for him)
  2. They dangled GameDay to Kentucky if they only beat S. Carolina at home. Corso said it on air. Oops Mark Stoops. Being Herbie's bff still won't get you more than six point against the Gamecocks. Maybe you can focus more on UGA without the GameDay spotlight in Lexington
  3. That was a fun couple weeks last September Sadly...The Rock won't come back...to Boulder
  4. Guest picker will be Will Ferrell, maybe in response to Fox having Derek Jeter on (who at least grew up in Michigan) Fox show will be three hours (usually two). ESPN offering free breakfast and t-shirts to early arrivers
  5. I don't know this but kinda suspect Gundy's agent has called the AD for a raise plenty of times before the season was over.
  6. Pretty sure it's none other than Michael Richards (yes, Kramer) who was in the variety show Fridays
  7. The afterparty for that shoot would put Boogie Nights to shame
  8. This is a few years old but ahead of its time. Quite relevant in the AI age. The customer guys remind me of (non specific) Surly posters lol
  9. PE debt and foreign ownership isn't going to make these schools more attractive if and when the SEC/B1G decides to just go Super League. You're a small market AND your future profits are pledged to Luxembourg? Nah, we'll stick with Purdue and Miss State instead. (Nothing against ISU or anyone in particular, good fan bases deserve better than this)
  10. Exactly. Even GoT towards the end fell into the trap of climactic moments being "oh shit, a dragon!" This show leans into the strategy even more. You just know one of those MFers will swoop in just before the sword falls on our hero or anti-hero
  11. Wetzel podcast panel emphasized this is private CAPITAL, not private equity, so the firms won't actually own any part of the athletic department. But there was some language snuck in about "advising" ADs on revenue ideas. As if ADs the last 40 years haven't been obsessed with that very topic. There is a real ? = Profit element to all this
  12. Speaking of outdoor venues, I can finally confirm the Just Like Heaven fest lives up to its name. I avoid festivals because of the physical beating, but I figured if I'm gonna be outside for 7ish hours, the golf course at the Rose Bowl in mid-May is a pretty good spot. I also splurged on "Clubhouse" access which allowed us into the golf course clubhouse and had free food and alcohol (good enough selection). Saw all or part of: Washed Out, Phantogram, Two Door Cinema Club, Passion Pit, Death Cab for Cutie, War on Drugs and Postal Service. They have two stages on far ends of the golf course. At least one sand trap was being used as a real life sand box with kids digging and playing. The sound was better than I expected, I'm amazed what they can do with only like 15 minutes between sets. Passion Pit was my highlight because I assumed the main guy had hung it up years ago. They've barely played live and no new music in almost 10 years. But he mentioned they want to get out more often in the near future. Two Door Cinema was the act I didn't know much about but will definitely be following now.
  13. Actually no, according to the EPL itself. If you're thinking 2012, City led on goal differential going into the day but then were in major jeopardy of dropping points to QPR before the famous Aguero winner. So it seemed like they flipped it but technically not
  14. This will be the 10th time in 33 years of the Premier League era the title has gone to the final day, and the second place club has never overtaken the leader. So basically it's over, but at least there is some reason to tune in
  15. It is what it is. Most of City's CL exits have been just not creating enough real chances out of their massive possession advantage
