  2. The responses in this thread aren't "don't question Sark," they're pointing out that the conservative playcalling in the second half was intentional and not the result of struggling. Reasonable people can differ. I'm sure many people wanted Sark to step on Michigan's neck and keep pouring it on. That kind of disagreement is fine, normal, and healthy. But the post that drew all these responses didn't disagree with the strategy, it wrongly posited that Sark was struggling in the second half, called a weak game, and was unable to score. That's not a disagreement. It's an ignorant and inaccurate interpretation of the second half. The execution dropped off a bit, but that's also because we pulled our starters. Again - intentional, conscious decision making. Not struggling. Disagreement / questioning Sark is fine. But don't be a fucking dumbass about.
  3. My buddy is now claiming that he had a trophy shop make the "fake" plaque at Dirty's and donated it for a laugh. I have no reason to doubt him, other than I really wish I had thought of it first.
  4. Not only was he too dumb to see that Texas was clearly the better option, but he also tried to string us along and fuck with our other recruiting efforts. Fuck that kid. With a rusty rake.
  5. Probably already discussed on here at length, but @Scipio has been adamant that Arch starts at Texas for two season (2025 and 26). The only situation he sees where Manning leaves after 2025 is if Arch wins the Heisman and a national championship.
  6. Not really looking to argue, but if cops can lie to me I should be able to lie to them. Or at least tell them I'm not going to give them my name. Unless I'm driving a car I shouldn't have to carry ID, this isn't East Germany. Reasonable people can differ but it's always annoyed me that the "you have to tell the cops the truth" thing isn't a two-way street. Also, an Austin High grad would never have gotten noticed in the first place. If you look like Mungo from Blazing Saddles, maybe try to be a little less conspicuous at the bar.
  7. There’s too much to comment on, but one thing from those posts jumped out to me - the comment about how we wanted to fire Sark halfway through the 2022 season. Halfway through 2022 we had taken Bama to the wire, beaten a good KSU squad on the road, and, oh yeah, had Arch fucking Manning committed. Things weren’t perfect, but the trajectory was phenomenal. Literally no one at Texas wanted Sark fired. But you know how thought we did? Fucking Aggies. They spammed their dank little corners of the internet with speculation about how our boosters demanded that Arch start and that we were too impatient to let anyone develop. They told themselves we were soft and mercurial and that Sark’s seat was on fire. As always, they read rank speculation from a dubious source, warped it even farther to fit their narrative, then repeated it until it became a “fact” on TexAgs. That comment about wanting to fire Sark perfectly encapsulates the Aggie media spin cycle. They shit something out, eat it, shit it out and eat it again, and like the taste more and more with each serving. They wonder why they never meet expectations…if you like to eat shit and are willing to pay for it, people like Lucci will happily serve it to you. It would be infuriating if it weren’t so laughable and pathetic.
  8. They’ve got to still be in contact with Zion. DT is too big a need and the staff has already shown they don’t give up on recruits. Maybe they spend fewer resources on him now that Charles is in the boat, but I’m sure they’ll stay in touch.
  9. goddamnit coogs

  13. A lot of that MGoBlog thread was pretty fucking stupid but this post was gold:
  14. Getting things back on track:
  15. Goddamn. That was a rabbit hole. I don't think I care for this Camus fella.
  16. C'mon now. No CR on the 9.95 board.
  17. I may not have much sympathy but I still refuse to make light of injuries. That's just asking for bad juju.
  18. He clearly used the phrase "African American players" instead of "n****rs" so you're not allowed to call him racist. Stupid sip.
  19. The internal logic here doesn't make sense. 2024 Texas is not as good as 2022 Bama, even though a clearly inferior 2022 Texas team almost beat Bama but for some extreme ref fuckery? And 2024 Michigan is not as bad as that 2022 Texas team? How do you project that after one game? I understand the vibe of your comment, but the logic makes no sense. Yes, Texas is going to go into Ann Arbor with a lot of confidence, comparable to Bama coming to Austin in 2022. We should keep in mind that an 8-5 Texas team in 2022 took Bama to the wire. That is a cautionary tale worth noting. But Michigan just won the fucking national championship. In 2022, Texas was coming off a 5-7 season with an embarrassing loss to Arkansas. Of course Bama was overconfident. It's not even remotely the same situation.
  20. He looked out of shape, plain and simple. Overweight and wilting in the heat.
  21. Fuck the Brocks and everything but how is that a personal foul?
  22. Of course. I love a sensible chuckle.
