  1. I counted at least 4. People have been questioning the playcalling in the final series. I didn't love it, but I can understand Sark's frustration. You can't run - no timeouts and only a few second left. You can't pass over the middle - the space is too tight and they've batted down every ball Ewers threw over the middle. Worthy was clearly not even 75%, especially moving laterally, so you can't rely on him as an option. Chucking it up to Mitchell in the corner felt more like a prayer than playcalling, but I can also understand it. His options were pretty limited. That said, we can expect more from Sark. He gets paid to be better than that. But I also have been impressed with his ability to learn and adapt. I have every expectation that this season was a learning experience for him and he'll immediately start working to figure out what to do in this sort of situation in the future.
  2. It’s from an old YouTube video by Brad Neely. He saves the children but not the British children.
  3. January seems wildly underrated to me. His tape is excellent and he has great size.
  4. Would it be fair to say that some people will never like him... and he will never give a fuck?
  5. The real move is to convince the Aggies that he's leaving and Texas is the destination. TexAgs goes into full on meltdown. Some Aggie BMDs step up and overpay him to stay because they can't stand the idea of losing him to mean ol' tessus. He stays at A&M and nothing has changed except that we got to see an entertaining TexAg freakout and the Aggies are a little poorer.
  6. Was there any chance of Sydir Mitchell leaving or did you mean to type Carter?
  7. I don't really agree. If these guys were breakfast: - Cook is a plain bowl of oatmeal. - Scipio is also a bowl of oatmeal, but it's got cinnamon and raisins and is served with a side of strong coffee. - Boyd is a bowl of cottage cheese that was left out overnight. - Wells is the milk that's left in the bowl after you eat all the fruity pebbles out of it.
  8. Jaray Bledsoe and Sydir Mitchell have gotten great reports and can fill the roles left by Murphy and Sweat respectively. Vernon Broughton has looked light years better this season and will still be around. That's also a testament to the job coach Bo is doing in developing guys, which means there may be some solid pieces we don't know about yet. Aaron Bryant may be a pleasant surprise. It's also possible that some of the guys you listed will come back. Sweat is gone, but there has been talk about money-whipping Murphy into staying. Collins has indicated he wants to leave, which is stupid, but whatever. I'm not sure the light was ever going to turn on for him. Trill Carter walked on senior day, but otherwise there is no indication that he's decided to leave. He won't get a high draft grade and seems more likely to go UDFA, which means the staff can probably convince him to stay if they think he's worth the $$$. Finally, most of the 2024 DL are early enrollees. That doesn't mean they'll be ready to start next season, but a few may be ready to contribute. The DL room will be thinner, and we may not have a star like Sweat, but it won't be in bad shape either.
  9. The South stops at Houston (or Tyler upstate). Everything west of that is just Texas.
  10. Getting a serious case of fong dong
  11. Should probably take this to the 2024 thread but it's full of people bitching about chain restaurants at the moment. It seemed like he was scheduled for an official, then the official got canceled or rescheduled, and there was speculation that it was because A&M threw a shitfit when they found out he was visiting. Or maybe paid him not to visit. Or some other shenanigans. I can't remember and I can't be bothered to go through the 2024 thread again. But if he wants to visit and he wants to avoid catching flack from the Aggies, secret visit seems like the way to go.
