  1. I would still take Bryce Anderson back in a heartbeat.
  2. This comment is all kinds of regarded, but I’m going to let you think on it a bit and see if you can figure out why. That way you might learn how to be less regarded. Good luck, buddy. I’m pulling for you.
  3. "As someone who took a basement dweller and turned them into a decent team, I can tell you that it's not that hard. Hell, you don't even have to be sober most of the time. I mean honestly, how hard is it to be a better coach than Les fucking Miles? But by all means, keep fellating Leipold because he won a bunch of games at a D3."
  4. Tough to see Sanders go in the first. TE just isn't valued that highly and Brock Bowers will probably be the first TE off the board. Are there really two teams that are going to burn a R1 pick on a TE?
  5. Oregon, Ohio State, and allegedly Nebraska. USC wasn't a factor for a while. What I've heard from Oregon fans is that the ducks got in Baker's ear about how bad USC moving to the B1G was for their program and that playing in the bi-coastal B1G would be a shitshow. That soured him on USC and put Oregon in the lead. Then Oregon announced that it would be moving to the B1G as well and all the shit Oregon had been talking about USC came back to bite them.
  6. Any blowback from D'antre Robinson taking a UOV to Florida without giving the staff a heads up? I know that has soured the staff on some other guys, but I'd really like to keep him in the boat.
  7. Bama is going to wreck these fuckwits. The fallout will be glorious.
  8. Texas killed the conference by being in it. Texas is also killing the conference by leaving it. Also, the conference is fine and why does everyone keep talking about the conference getting killed? Can't believe greedy Texas is leaving it's brothers like Baylor and Tech behind, with all they've done to support and help Texas. It's not like Texas is the only reason they were in the Big 12 to begin with, or that Texas has been supporting them financially for more than a century. My craziest ex-girlfriend doesn't have shit on the Big 12's craziness.
  9. I get what you're saying and don't disagree. I'm the weird one here. But man, "isolationist mountain person" is my dream job. My loving wife and family have really prevented me from pursuing the noble goals of smoking weed in the woods and shooting guns all day.
  10. I've never understood why people from Colorado seem so angry. This is true for the little pussy in this thread, but also for Buffs fans in general - there's a lot of weird anger in that fanbase. They always seem pissed off and combative with a weird chip on their shoulder. Colorado as a place seems so nice and laid back. Every lawyer in my firm who lands a national client moves to our Denver office and immediately starts phoning it in. They WFH at their "mountain house" and let the junior partners do all the work. They know they've got it made so why sweat it out on the bayou? The weather in CO is pleasant if you don't mind the cold (and it's miles better than Houston in any case), cost of living is modest compared to CA and NY, there's great skiing and hiking, great breweries, weed is legal, etc. etc. etc. So why so angry all the time?
  11. I'm sorry, are you actually trying to talk about the Baylor game in this thread?
  12. Bama had 10 penalties. Rice had 5, and Wyoming had 3. So it's 10-8 split between SEC refs and Big 12 refs, albeit though that the Big 12 took two games to award fewer penalties. But that could have been a function of our opponent - calling penalties on Rice is like smacking a puppy on the nose. Doing it when you don't absolutely have to is cruel.
  13. https://thedailytexan.com/2018/05/03/we-must-challenge-the-term-drag-rat/ After some exhaustive research I found that the Daily Texan opposes the use of the phrase "drag rat," so that's the clearly correct term.
  14. It will be interesting to see how they do this weekend: Bama - Ole Miss Wyoming - App State Rice - USF I already feel good about the season, but I'll feel even better if all three teams win. Then we just need to dogwalk Baylor for me to dive headfirst into the koolaid.
  15. I've lived in Austin my whole life and have only ever heard them referred to as "drag rats," by people my age (40's) and by people who went to UT in the 60's and 70's. Not doubting you or disagreeing, it's just weird to see a new term used when I thought "drag rats" was ubiquitous.
  16. I'll shit on Baylor all day erry day, but Aranda seems like a decent guy. He's not a fucking crybaby like Matt Campbell.
