  1. We need a nice girl from a good Austin family to lock Arch down. Not a guarantee, but girlfriends have a solid record against the portal.
  2. We're still waiting on the golden football that was supposed to be produced after Blue played in the spring game. I assume that one is still in the works. Maybe CTJ needs more fiber.
  3. It's also weird that Mackovic and Herman both recruited all-time great Texas RBs who weren't used properly until the next staff took over.
  4. Ahhhh, some good ol' fashioned BOMC-posting. Haven't had the good stuff in a while.
  5. Are you referring to Ewer's camp demanding that he be held out for the Tech and WVU games due to the Bama injury? Or that he was left in a game when he should have been pulled (e.g., the TCU game)? Not trying to pry, just curious.
  6. Foreman is just on a one-year contract, right?
  7. Estimated contract values for the Longhorns drafted: Bijan (R1/P8): total - $21,958,535 / bonus - $12,969,844 DMO (R3/P27): total - $5,390,027 / bonus - $920,019 RoJo (R4/P13): total - $4,608,688 / bonus - $768,688 Snacks (R6/P17): total - $4,016,615 / bonus - $176,615 Ojomo (R7/P32): total - $3,917,777 / bonus - $77,777 Source: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/draft/
  8. I know Ken Adams. He’s pretty active in the management of the team, he was basically raised with the understanding that he would run the show eventually. I doubt he would ever sell.
  9. I know that we already got word that Bo Davis was staying but it's still a relief to see the position filled.
  10. To revisit this stupid fucking article - I listened to the Andy Staples show reactions to the first round of the draft this morning. Why? Because I like making myself angry. As you may know, Wasserman is Staples' crony and cohosts the show. On the show, they talked about every player selected in the top-10 of the first round and they talked about every Big 12 player taken in the first round except one - Bijan Robinson. Isn't that strange? One of the best running backs in the draft in forever, the first running back drafted, and they even talked about Gibbs to the Lions - you would think they would at least stumble onto his name. It's noteworthy that a position that has been devalued in the NFL saw two players drafted in the first round, and that one of them was in the top-10, but they did not mention him once. What makes this even stranger to me is the fact that it would be good radio to talk about. The dude who just wrote an article excoriating Texas for failing to develop 5-star talent into draft picks is on an NFL draft podcast when Texas has a 5-star player drafted in the first round. They don't want to rib him for that or ask if it changes his thinking? Even if his response is "Bijan is so good that he transcends Texas' ineptitude" that is still a soundbite that will get attention. Forcing Wasserman to backtrack or double down is a great way to generate clicks, especially when it involves Texas, so why didn't they? I honestly have no idea, but there's no way Bijan was left out of the conversation by accident. Sorry for the tangent but I am still angry about it.
  11. You make a good point, but you have to look at the other side too. Yeah, the could have won the Tennessee and LSU games BUT they could have lost to A&M and they should have lost to us. Even Ole Miss was a one-score game. Saban is unquestionably the GOAT and his defense will be one of the best in the country, but college football often comes down to who has the best QB and the room in Tuscaloosa is looking very suspect.
