  1. Nothing happens in a bubble. The record alone doesn't really tell us anything. Napier is probably not going to get fired unless he loses the team and recruiting class, which is just OK at this point. Next year's schedule is not much easier, so you have the additional challenge of finding a coach who would be willing to walk into that. vs. UGA Texas Tennessee FSU @ LSU @ Miami @ A&M @ Kentucky @ Ole Miss Miss St USF FAMU There are plenty of Gators who think that Jedd Fisch would be interested but he just got to Washington and I can't imagine him wanting to walk into the current schedule at UF. I feel like even if Napier just treads water this year, he'll get another year. After that, we could be looking at a new coach and a new AD. UF also has a new prez search going on which I won't go into because it's quite political.
  2. The game is at SMU, right? FSU's band went to Ireland and they most likely will travel to Miami. So SMU will be at most a travel pep band.
  3. He won the starting job at Southern Miss, right? Should be interesting to watch.
  4. Hard to say. They play a shit schedule every year. This one will probably end up with only a couple ranked opponents by the end of it.
  5. 90% chance he got turned down by UF admissions and never got over it.
  6. Hey, Clark. If he offers to lead you to a cave of wonders, don't do it!
  7. Kyle Whittingham thinks a super league is coming very soon. https://www.johncanzano.com/p/canzano-utah-footballs-kyle-whittingham Q: You’ve talked about the future of major college football. That a line will be drawn in the sand and that Utah needs to be on the right side of the line. When is that coming? How many teams will it include? What do you see? A: Well, yeah, I think there is a major realignment coming, and it’ll be a big one. I think it will create even more of a divide and exclusivity for the teams that are on the right side of that line. 20 months to four years? How about that for a time frame? In my opinion, it’s going to look very much like an NFL minor league. I see an expansion of the playoff with that to 16 teams. The short version is Super Conferences. I think it’s going to boil down to 40-60 maybe teams in the Super Conference. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t play anybody but other Super Conference teams. Make that a division as far as who you play. Like I said, a full-blown playoff. Whether or not the players will be employees, officially, remains to be seen, but I think that’s very likely. I think that’s where it’s heading.
  8. I thought the new sports for LA had already been decided.
  9. Jay Cutler is still alive.
  10. Naw man. They've still got the Whistler.
  11. Like I said before, not only were they doing it. But they were doing it prior to Stanford joining the league 8/1.
  12. At least Texas is in the SEC now. It's not like last week when the other conferences were bragging about medals from schools that were still in other conferences.
  13. Boy do they love their map commercial. There are 3 separate threads on reddit about it.
  14. The WV Twitter guys always have the best stuff...
  15. It will be for the 2026 and 2027 seasons that they will need to move the game due to stadium renovations in Jax.
  16. It's a separate thing, as far as I understand. The August 15th requirement is in the membership bylaws, not the GoR or the TV Contract. What I've read this morning on FSU boards is that FSU will ask that the date of withdrawal be backdated to when this challenge started if they are successful in the other portions.
  17. No. This just means they don't see the finish line yet. It's just a 1 year notice. The next deadline would be August 15, 2025 for the 2026 season.
  18. Well, at least there will be a lot of great home games... maybe we can win some.
