  1. Mine was: Real name: Ranger Nicknames: Ray-ray, R-doggy-dog, Diablo Blanco
  2. That, I assume, is a green wave. Their mascot seems to be a pelican named Riptide. From Wikipedia: The name "Riptide" was selected for the performing pelican by the administration after a vote of the student body in which the students actually voted that the pelican be named "Pecker."
  3. We said goodbye to my pup, Ranger, Friday night after 14 wonderful years. I can’t find the words that are sufficient enough to describe this glorious pup and the pain of his loss, but I’m sure most of us understand the sentiment I’m searching for here. Aside from being generally awesome, I must say he was also a damn handsome dog. Couldn’t take him in public without at least one person, often more, commenting on or asking about him. And I’m not just talking about pedestrians. On our daily walks, at least one person would slow down/stop and ask from their car. During the last snowpocolypse, Ranger was solely responsible for delaying neighborhood power restoration for a good 10 minutes as a work crew paused to play with him. This included the guy in the bucket who hurriedly lowered himself down shouting “hang on! I want to pet him!” Even his last day with us, someone stopped their car to praise him. He never lost his charm. I always thought that’s what it must be like to have movie star looks. Lord knows, I wouldn’t know any other way. He was gentle with kids and family and fiercely protective when he felt the need. Which was more often than not directed at Halloween inflatables, the occasional coyote we might encounter, and anyone who dared knock on the door. He relished in checking the mail and his size intimidated door to door salespeople enough to cut short any sales pitch. He was all these things and so, so very much more. We loved him so. ETA Many thanks to Aggys and Sooners for doing their part to ease the pain. It was much appreciated.
  4. That was a fun conversion.
  5. Dallas pd definitely doesn’t want to deal with it. I was involved in one too and because I didn’t stay at them scene, they said they’d come take my report……but ticket me as well. So I guess I was supposed to pull off the highway, call, and wait who knows how long for an officer.
  6. Even if you get readable plates, cops won’t do shit.
  7. Bahahahaha. Holy shit!!!
  8. Maybe the 2:00pm announcement is being made by President Vance.
  9. It was 21 degrees at 3am when my pup, a 13 year old Shepherd/Lab/Chow mix, wanted to go outside. It's his kind of weather, so he luxuriated for about 20 minutes before being made to come back inside....where he promptly took a crap. I guess he showed me for harshing his arctic blast buzz.
  10. Georgia clearly doesn't want to be there or something something
  11. Bahahaha...
  12. What starts here changes the world.
  13. “Finally,, somebody reaches in end zone” lulz
  14. He wouldn’t do that for a few years yet.
  15. Take the loss, pussy.
  16. “Israel strong”, I believe.
  17. 15 degrees in East Dallas. My 10 year old pup practically refused to come in last night and was right back at it this morning. At least he’s loving this weather.
  18. Another view. My brother works downtown and sent me this pic shortly after.
