  1. Well, we didn't have room for them anyway... 😇
  2. Jamaal is one of the most underappreciated players ever. The knee injuries will ultimately keep him out, but he deserves it. He was crazy special. I love watching his highlights... the NFL highlights are just as sick as the college ones. What he did athletically at the position was unprecedented.
  3. There are still some pretty good QB prospects in the portal. Not as strong as this one, but there are solid options for UCLA. Also... HAHA
  4. Well, it looks like Florida is serious about being good again. I'm not convinced Napier is the right coach long term, but he's making some serious moves and the AD is giving him the things he needs.
  5. Hmmm, maybe that's why we had a coach in Hawaii...
  6. That ruined my night. I thought we were finally done with him... FFS
  7. Sorrell was playing before he got injured.
  8. He's a walk on. This might be the only chance he ever gets to start a game. He wants it. It's hilarious that they'd say he's out with Covid without consulting him first. He's clearly not on board. Terrible look for the program. They're really so scared of losing the game that they'd rather not play it. pussies
  9. No, it really was unique. He showed up a season earlier than the coaches expected him, due to NIL, and he missed the first camp. I believe he is the only player to have ever done this.
  10. The Ewers situation really was unique. It's not correlative.
  11. ...
  12. I accept the correction. The logs I looked at only showed games where he recorded stats. I guess he played special teams in some capacity then. He has no stats for those 13 other games.
  13. We got lucky as fuck. We had 2, and likely 3 blue chip OL fall into our laps with the Cristobal and Riley coaching changes. Then Ewers gave us some juice. Things could have gone the other way with the currents flowing in a different direction or even just with different timing. Still gotta show a much improved product on the field next season. We won't get lucky 2 seasons in a row.
  14. I was responding to someone asking why this recruitment wasn't getting more hype. He played in six total games in 2 years. He didn't play special teams. When you have 5 DB's on the field against most offenses, he got almost no playing time. Does that mean he's terrible? No. Does that mean he's going to bust here? No. Does that mean he's going to be a career backup here too? No. It just means there's legitimate reasons to not get too high on someone who hasn't shown he's starter material yet. And yes, there are examples of backups blowing up elsewhere. I hope it happens here too, but let's also acknowledge that the Jameson Williams of the world are more of the exception rather than the rule.
  15. He was there 2 years. He's been a backup for his career. He would be halfway through his eligibility if he had earned playing time there. Look, I'm not trying to shit on the guy. He has talent and Ohio St. has good personnel in their defensive backfield. It's possible he got lost behind talented, more experienced players. Let's see what he can do here, but I'm taking an even keeled approach to him.
  16. He's a career backup. He might do well here, but let's keep perspective.
