Texas Basketball 2022-23
That Sean Mitchell WVU guy is a mediocre FG shooter. Barely 40% from the field and 36.8% from 3pt range. He's a great FT shooter, but he doesn't rebound, he doesn't get assists, he's not an efficient or prolific scorer. Is he a bad ass defender? I don't get the appeal.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
This is his junior HUDL. He plays on the edge quite a bit. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/14558795/619559f1578d7b0af03813a1

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
This guy is intriguing. He's got a great frame and good athleticism. He uses his eyes really well for a high schooler. He doesn't have an elite first step, but it's pretty good. He has a frame that looks like it should take to S&C really well.

If Allen can graduate transfer, he might explore an offense where he can be the focal point against lesser competition to put up big numbers and make himself more marketable to foreign teams. He could probably be a 20 pt per game guy in another league. If he has foreign job offers, he should jump at them. He's not NBA material.

I like Rowan Brumbaugh a lot. I think he's going to play a lot next season unless we bring in a transfer who soaks up a lot of minutes. I could see him playing more of a true PG and letting Morris and Co. focus on being scorers. Dillon Mitchell is an athletic freak.

Texas vs Purdue - Sunday, 7:40pm on TNT
His shooting numbers are awful. He's not explosively athletic. He moves more like a big 3 than a guard, but without the size. It is what it is.

He used a screen and still had to go out of bounds to get the angle for the pass.

I think Askew is a career backup type. His athleticism is pretty mediocre. You can get away with not being a great athlete if you're a great baller, but he's, frankly, neither super athletic nor a great baller. He doesn't have a good shot. There's just no upside unless he improves dramatically in some area. He's basically 20. At this age, he's unlikely to improve athletically in some significant way. Most people have shooting touch by now if they're going to get it. Yes, you can develop it later in life, but, usually, you have it by now or you're not likely to ever have it.

Cook. Is he cool with a 2 RB class though? He's a legit RB1 at most schools.

2022 NFL DRAFT
Thompson ran well enough at the combine. He's going to get drafted. Possibly Kerkstetter too. After that, yikes.

He definitely ups the entertainment factor in recruiting.

Jimbo 2023: Watch.The.Tape.
That is a long ass list. Some of them are legit injured. I wonder if some of them are holding out considering what the new 5 stars got in bag money. I would be pissed if I was a player already there and more likely to get playing time next year than a true frosh.

How to Buy a 5-Star Recruit: The Demond Demas Saga
I don't think the aggies think they need Demas the same way they needed Jackson. I wouldn't be surprised if their situations get treated a little differently. Plus, doesn't aggy need to shed a few scholarships still?

If he can get down to 350ish pounds, there have been quite a few very good athletes at that weight level. We've had a few of them here.

Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
Hmmm, what the fuck are we doing for big men next year? Our recruiting class is great, but it's a small forward and guards. I think Disu is really athletic, but it's concerning that he's not getting playing time. Is he still injured? We don't have length or athleticism on the whole team. We might have it in the 1 to 3 spots next season, but... the 4 and 5 spots look iffy.

Good. Now do something about Jackson's "charity" organization. That's some bullshit. $4,000 payout out of $158,000 donated. That's gotta be illegal.

This team needs a serious overhaul of personnel. We aren't long, or athletic, and can't make shots. Fuuuuuck
