  1. That Lander Barton LB looks really good on film.
  2. Then we risk staying mired in mediocrity. The NCAA almost never hands out any harsh penalties. Everyone knows some universities are flat out buying players... nothing ever happens to them. Other schools are creating absurd NIL deals for their players... upwards of 1 million dollars. Nothing is going to happen to them either. We either start competing with the big boys in spending on recruits or we will just fall behind.
  3. What constitutes value though? Look at the artwork deal for that Oregon defensive player. Hypothetically, if we had a whale on the hook, couldn't just concoct something of nebulous value and charge whatever we want for it?
  4. We need a whale option too. If someone wants to drop 1k a month, that should be an option. There should be no upper limit at all. Let the whale choose how much he wants to drop. There shouldn't be a $50 cap. Think big. Recruit big. Pitch to the big fish alums we know as an easy, zero effort way to help. Do we want to get into the business of acquiring or brokering NIL deals for players?
  5. Hell, send a one time email to all members. This thing needs to be successful and not all members are paying attention to the thread. I'm in now.
  6. Houston makes more sense as an addition than Baylor and TCU.
  7. His athleticism doesn't pop at all. He's pretty heavy footed. Yes, it's his sophomore film, but, it doesn't look promising. He better have amazing football instincts and anticipation with that speed.
  8. Meh... if we get our shit together we'll get a look. Of course, we have to get our shit together...
  9. Fuck that...
  10. ... until the next school leaves. (I'll add it on to the end of the statement since he forgot to)
  11. Did he just say the issue was "mute" instead of "moot?" Also, that's the kind of burning charisma you want from your conference leader. None of that sleepy old man feeling at all. I bet he's a blast at parties.
  12. What if we used one of our well established aggy socks to start a new PR campaign designed to organize all the aggys mad enough to leave the SEC? We'd need a snazzy logo and catch phrase ... like their SECede campaign when leaving the B12. I wonder if we could manipulate those mouth breathers into doing something abnormally stupid, even by their standards.
  13. Oh, we know.
  14. Who's going to tell him about the mason jars?
  15. Hey BWG, did Beard fuck you and not call?
  16. I thought Beard had an absurd buyout after his last contract.
  17. That athleticism pops off the screen. Just... DAMN
  18. I'd be surprised if he was really 5'10. His legs look on the short side. I'm thinking 5'8 ish...
  19. Could still do LB or we could do the separate DT and DE coaches.
  20. I think you can work around that for the right coaching mind. Not ideal, but he'll also have plenty more success with the Texas brand behind him.
  21. Sucks on Banks. He's an outstanding special teams coordinator. Brewster would be great... Tee Martin could slot there if we hire a different WR coach. Brewster is probably super attainable.
  22. The first and foremost qualification of our OL coach has to be development. As long as he's not a total fucking asshole everyone hates, we don't need a rainmaker recruiter there, although recruiting chops are great too. If we can help Giles lazy ass fall into highly rated recruits, we can help the OL coach do the same.
  23. My memory may be off here, but wasn't Klemm the UCLA guy who was a great recruiter but the complaint was his offensive lines weren't particularly good and he was not a great developer? I could be wrong if he's managed to stick in the NFL under Tomlin... how bad could he be?
