  1. It looks like he'll never recover from that injury.
  2. Twice in a row.
  3. Baxter is just not very good right now.
  4. If Wingo could catch on the move...
  5. I don't disagree.
  6. Akina isn't calling the coverage.
  7. And watch out for onside kicks...
  8. Again, we had similar secondary issues before with PK and young DBs. I know we want to blame Akina, and he probably isn't helping, but this isn't exactly a new problem for us with PK's defense.
  9. You'd think ABC/ESPN could afford some higher speed cameras.
  10. Yeah, that isn't a catch.
  11. He hasn't been good since coming back. Turns out, all the time off and the injury probably affecting him.
  12. Do we know that TEs are eligible receivers?
  13. The rule is technical, but it has to be someone that is threatened by the rusher. The guy that jumps can't be a guard when the rusher is outside the tackle for instance. That's why snapping it is better when you've apparently coached your tackles to never react.
  14. Yes. Our offensive line is very poorly coached. Flood needs to be gone.
  15. It technically could have been. The person across from the guy offsides is the one that needs to move. Nice throw Manning!
  16. Yeah, we are hurting ourselves not snapping when they jump.
  17. So... this is our opening play. It works pretty well.
  18. Yeah, hell of a kick.
  19. Did we not look sleepy and slow on the big run?
  20. We look asleep and slow.
  21. Awesome defense.

    NIMBYism

I'm not sure you're understanding my point (but maybe you are). You can't just tell everyone "get a better job." If everyone has a better job, then prices just get higher. If you go from a median household income of $60,000 to a median of $1,000,000, housing prices will go up by a similar percentage absent an increase in supply.

    NIMBYism

The premise that inserting more money into the system will make houses affordable is false. If you have the same housing supply and give everyone an extra $100,000, you're just going to increase demand and raise housing prices to offset the new money. In a market-based system, you have to increase supply to drive down prices. That's how market economics work. Period.

    NIMBYism

Demand for housing generally is based upon population. Building more houses is how you address the demand. There may be a local increase in demand as new housing gets completed, but it isn't going to completely offset the negative pressure on prices from increased supply. If those first-time homebuyers or renters didn't live in Beverly Hills, they'd have to live somewhere else. Them leaving wherever they currently area, frees up that supply for someone else. It absolutely has a trickle-down effect. Again, I don't think this guy is trying to solve the housing crisis. And I don't think that is his job. He is trying to make money. But that doesn't mean that him making money will not also have a negative effect on housing prices. I agree that other actions could have a more substantial and direct effect on housing prices. And I agree that the state could and should do other things to incentivize or create more affordable housing. But yes, building higher density housing in more expensive areas can cause negative pricing pressure in surrounding areas.
