  1. You're wrong. They're going to have to sue. And you're a fucking fool for thinking otherwise.
  2. Are you celebrating the highlighted portion? Doesn't have anything to do with its manufacturing, but the recent Intel discrete GPUs (manufactured by TSMC) are very competitive and have been a market hit. From a price/performance standpoint, they offer a lot better value than existing cards, particular those at the "budget" price point (budget now being $200-$350 cards). The problem they have is they are very likely sold near at cost. The die size is huge. A lot of that appears to just be a problem with upscaling the size of their integrated GPUs, so maybe with design modifications focused on larger size, discrete parts they'll be profitable with future generations. Long term, the GPU division has a lot going for it and has shown remarkable progress over a single generation. Hopefully (for Intel), it will be able to bring the GPU manufacturing back in-house next generation.
  3. Elon pulled the same stunt at his other companies. Those people got fucked and had to sue. They are still fighting for their money. I will guarantee you the same thing happens here. And I will guarantee you there will be several legal justifications given why the federal government is either immune from suit or not liable. And I guarantee you at least one judge will accept them.
  4. Maybe. But that's a pretty huge leverage point with Russia. Giving it up for nothing signals exactly what is happening. Only a sucker would believe otherwise.
  5. Hegseth says NATO membership for Ukraine is dead. Fuck everything. We are abandoning Ukraine.
  6. From a powertrain stand point, there is plenty of muscle available in most of those to carry additional weight. So I guess that is something. The problem is that there is no real way to offset the range hit by doing that. If you up armor an ICE vehicle, you can include a bigger gas tank. Adding additional batteries is much more difficult and expensive. But given that Elon has billed the Cybertruck as "bullet proof", I guess the state department is buying of bunch of those stupid things.
  7. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/02/largest-data-breach-in-us-history-three-more-lawsuits-try-to-stop-doge/ “Largest data breach in US history”: Three more lawsuits try to stop DOGE Doge and Musk face three more lawsuits over "brazen ransacking" of private data. I thought Trump said the federal government was forbidden from purchasing EVs?
  8. Negotiating based on "trading" is a mistake. That whole perspective is fucked. Kill every fucking Russian every fucking where. That is what Ukraine should be doing. And it shouldn't stop until every Russian is dead or Russia goes home. And we should give them every fucking weapon they need to make it happen. If Ukraine wants to negotiate, cool. In no fucking universe should we be making them. Fuck all of this. And fuck anyone rationalizing it.
  9. I better not read anymore bullshit in this thread about us taking a new, tough stance against Russia. Fucking ridiculous wish casting.
  10. Ukraine shouldn't have been existing where Russian soldiers wanted to go.
  11. What I want is irrelevant.
  12. Let it happen. The country needs to collapse in order for everyone to see the leopards for what they are.
  13. @Laxtonto I guess this is the carrot, give Russia part of Ukraine.
  14. Until then (or their deaths), I'm here for their suffering.
  15. Pre-game was still more entertaining than the actual game.
  16. As any physicist will tell you, everything is physics. Now, assume a perfectly spherical cow...
  17. Wait, you think Mahomes is the problem?
  18. So, turns out the line is important.
  19. Looking like a long day for KC.
  20. Looks like a 8 year old put it together last night.
  21. Yes, China is our principle economic and military competitor. That has been true for about two decades. It is not new. Military and civilian leadership have recognized that for quite some time now. But let's not pretend our moves are necessarily coherent. For instance, Greenland is a property of a close economic and military ally. At least up until we indicated we wanted to take it, there wouldn't have been a real concern that American companies would be denied to the opportunity to develop resources there if the economics supported it. The problem has been that the economics aren't great. China has a many year head start on generating the technologies and workforce necessary to mine and refine rare earth minerals. Chinese companies also own intellectual property that restricts development. It wasn't the raw material we lacked, but rather the economic incentive to develop this industry. Were we truly concerned with combating China, a stimulus bill similar to the CHIPS Act would have made a lot more sense and wouldn't have risked severe blowback. Similarly, restricting the sale and development of EVs further erodes any economic incentive by decreasing the demand that could have fueled development (e.g., lithium for batteries and neodymium for electric motors). As to Russia, the war in Ukraine is largely the result of losing sight of Russia as a rival and destabilizing geopolitical element. It isn't a good idea to double down on that failed strategy.
  22. Rare earth minerals arent actually rare and we already have a lot of them. The issue isnt access to them. It is the ability to mine and process them.
  23. We actually got my FIL's head somewhat screwed on correctly recently. He started to wake up from his haze and realize he had been tricked. Been treating him with kid gloves the last few months as a result. I just wanted everyone to know that change is in fact possible. It helped that my MIL always saw through the Trump bullshit.
  24. When is Melania getting deported? Nah. There will not be a country, so no worry about voting. It'll be burned down.
