  1. That INT took at least 3 points off the board, but that ain't gonna cut it. Have to get points off of turnovers. Have to.
  2. No thanks, sport. But I appreciate the offer, I guess.
  3. I agree this played a big part and I'm glad Sarkisian let him play through it. I don't know what you mean by this. If you're suggesting I "play scared" and am projecting that onto Ewers, then I'll just say no, neither is the case. He was playing very timid, like he was afraid of re-aggravating the injury. For starters, he was throwing with mostly arm, seemingly self-limiting body rotation. Everything mid-range was sailing and the one ball he needed to put something on was 5yds under thrown. I don't think it's a reach to think he was worried about the oblique. His body language looked off too. There were plenty of comments on it at the time, so I'm not sure why it's such an incendiary opinion all of a sudden. He woke up toward the end of the half and I think the biggest part of it was the TD run where he took contact and got up feeling fine. I think that unlocked him mentally and he played a lot better after that. I hope we get him at 100% tomorrow. If so, I don't see UGA having a chance in hell unless our defense stays in the locker room or something. If both sides play their B games in the same game, and we don't have special teams miscues, we're unbeatable.
  4. Thank you for the assurance. I doubt we'll ever know, so I'll take your word for it. As for the "defeatist bullshit (I've) posted", which part would that be? "We could use Bond's speed" "I feel pretty good about the defense" "Ewers doesn't throw a good deep ball, but UGA probably wasn't going to give us many chances deep anyway" "I think we're good if we play solid fundamental football" "We don't need heroics; the absence of turnovers/bullshit is probably enough" One of those, or something else? Perhaps my comment that Ewers played like shit for most of the 1st half against OU?
  5. You and a few others seem to be super quick on the trigger to get all spun up and talk shit to people, saying things you'd never say in person. All the "pussies", "retards", "fuckbois", "you fucking dolts", etc. aren't really needed and nobody takes people who act like that very seriously. We're just talking football. I don't recall worrying about how Ewers was going to play. I said he doesn't throw a good deep ball, but UGA probably wasn't going to give us that anyway. Ewers doesn't throw a great deep ball. That's not news. Yep. Probably not getting a lot of chances deep, hence the need for what Bond provides on the perimeter. Point out where I mentioned Beck, much less that I'd take him over Ewers. I'm a big fan of Ewers and he's our QB1, period. Not Arch, not anyone else's QB, just Ewers. Sark was right to leave him in and force him to work through the rusty start against OU, and I'm glad he did. That doesn't change the fact that he played like shit for 1.5 quarters and put Bond in some bad spots on a bad ankle (the under thrown ball where he awkwardly tried to get back to it and the high/behind overthrow that he had to get acrobatic on and wound up leaving the game after). Saying it isn't some kind of sin. Football opinions, all of which would be said in any forum or any context...unlike all the internet tough guy shit.
  6. Ewers played scared in the first half. He wouldn't step into anything and he was obviously worried about contact. It happened and he's not exempt from the truth. High performers don't worry about criticism. They address it, fix it, and move on. I'm guessing you wouldn't understand. You seem like the type who'd wet your pants, act passive-aggressive, and then be summarily dismissed/ignored.
  7. I'm bullish on the team and the game. This is what you'd call a context clue.
  8. Hey kid, how does it feel to watch your dad get his ass beat?
  9. I'm happy to be wrong on this one. We need him.
  10. #1 defense in the country. Feeling pretty good about that side of the ball. UGA will score some, but I don't see it being a shootout. Definitely could use Bond, but he's listed as Questionable. Thanks, Ewers, for being a vag, playing scared, and throwing your WR1 into an injury. UGA probably wasn't going to let us take the top off anyway and Ewers can't throw a deep ball for shit, but Bond's speed would have been nice on the edges. I think we're good if we just play fundamentally sound football. Don't need heroics, just the absence of turnovers and bullshit.
  11. Is he wearing one of those man bras? C'mon Sark, not under a white shirt.
  12. On the bright side, winning while not playing all that great (except for the defense; they've been lights out) might help avoid the post-rivalry game letdown. We have plenty of things to stay focused on leading up to Georgia.
  13. Pump fake the bubble screen and go deep.
  14. Saints asking Texas how they're treating Ewers' oblique injury because "he looks so good." Derek Carr about to be airmailing WRs.
  15. With as much speed as we have, we should be running crossing routes every single time they're in man defense. Just run them from sideline to sideline until they go zone.
  16. He tried giving him a passing TD and he blew it.
  17. Him playing to avoid injury got our #1 WR injured.
  18. Sark had better chew some ass at halftime. The defense is winning this game, not the offense. Minus a couple of good runs, the offense has left 14 points on the field. Bolden hustling for "no reason" should be the example of playing balls to the wall, every second of every play.
  19. Ewers may have cost us Bond against UGA.
  20. Yep, but they're going to be tired in the 4th if we can't keep our offense on the field for more than 3 plays a time.
  21. It was the BODY LANGUAGE you guys. That's part of the Rule.
  22. Do we still run the RPO with the slant over the middle?
  23. What we can't do is wait until we're behind a TD or two before pulling Ewers for Arch. A freshman going into the Texas-OU game and having to "get us back in the game" is a recipe for forcing throws, turnovers, etc. They'll blitz his ass off if they have a lead.
  24. It was a wide open WR who would have walked in for a TD were it not for Ewers sucking.
  25. Because then Ewers would have to wait to get his sidearm bullshit interception out of the way.
