  1. A QB pulling it on a zone read and picking up 11 yds? I hope Ewers is watching the game.
  2. I posted a screenshot of the result with an LSU win tonight, loss against Alabama, and UGA winning out. The calculator might be wrong, but that's what it shows. Don't know what else to tell you. Aggy win tonight and LSU beating Alabama, both finish with 1-loss, UGA winning out, and Texas winning out... Aggy 1 LSU 2 UGA 3 Texas 4
  3. http://bball.notnothing.net/big12.php?sport=mbb (obviously change to Power 4/SEC...landing page is B12 MBB)
  4. Nope. LSU has to lose twice. Unless the calculator is wrong.
  5. That's what the SEC Standings calculator shows. That's all I know. Guess it has to do with SOS or something. It shows that if LSU wins tonight, they can lose to Alabama and still finish 2nd to UGA (assuming UGA wins out), even if we win out as well.
  6. I'm going to say this again...unless the SEC standings calculators are wrong... 1-loss UGA 1-loss LSU (whether to Aggy or Alabama, doesn't matter) 1-loss Texas = Texas is left out of the SECCG. Need LSU to lose twice or we have to rely on Tennessee or Ole Miss to knock off UGA, which ain't likely. Sure, we'd still be in the playoff with a single loss to UGA and 3rd place SEC finish, but I'd like to make a statement our first year in the conference by at least being in the SECCG. *Obviously we have to handle our business and win out, which is far from a certainty with the way we've been playing lately.
  7. It was the same chick, just a split second later. 😀
  8. They showed another chick, dark hat I think, that had the dumbest look on her face. Tongue was sitting on her teeth and she was mouth-breathing like only an Aggy can.
  9. "The standard is the standard, and that standard is targeting that wipes away a pick 6."
  10. "It's dangerous up there. A LB might get me." - Ewers
  11. Ewers is nails when he has a clean pocket, gets absolutely zero pressure, and his WRs are playing against inferior athletes. We just need to figure out how to get all that against the Alabamas and Georgias of the world. 😀
  12. False. If Texas A&M beats LSU and we beat TAMU, but that's LSU's only loss, they are ahead of us.
  13. http://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb (It's preloaded with whatever their predictions are, but you can change them and then calculate). If you pick the assumed favorites in the remaining games, we finish 3rd to 1-loss UGA and 1-loss LSU. If LSU got past Alabama (game is at Tiger Stadium), then it would just flip-flop unbeaten LSU and 1-loss UGA. If LSU beats Aggy and loses to Alabama, they still finish ahead of us. We need LSU to take 2 losses. Sure, lots can happen and nothing is assumed. Gotta play the games. We need to win out, period, and handle our end. But the path is much more favorable with an Aggy win today and another LSU loss to Alabama in 2 weeks.
  14. Oh I get it. Just need LSU with 2 losses and their big remaining challenges are Aggy and Alabama. If LSU has a single loss, then we'd need TENN to knock of UGA in Athens for us to get into the SECCG. I don't see that one happening. A 1-loss 3rd place finish to UGA and LSU would likely have us in the playoff (can't imagine it wouldn't), but I'd like to get there via the SECCG personally.
  15. I don't care what they wear as long as they win. As much as it pains me to say that, Texas has a better shot at making the SECCG if Aggy wins. We need LSU to lose to Aggy and Alabama for us to finish 1 or 2 with a single loss, assuming UGA wins out. We have to beat Aggy either way which give us the head-to-head, so we want them doing half the work to clear LSU out of the way. 1-loss LSU finishes ahead of us and I don't see Tennessee knocking off UGA. Need LSU to lose 2.
  16. I said last week if you're gonna pull Ewers and put Arch in, you have to do it BEFORE the game is out of hand. Down 7-10 points is one thing, but you can't send the kid in when it's "we're getting killed and need you to save us." They're fucking this one up all around. Not a single good decision being made.
  17. Points off of turnovers vs. no points off of turnovers. This is squarely on Ewers and Sark's unwillingness to call quick reads and get players the ball in their hands quickly. Those of you who wet the bed when I criticized Ewers in the other thread can kiss my ass, BTW.
  18. That INT took at least 3 points off the board, but that ain't gonna cut it. Have to get points off of turnovers. Have to.
  19. No thanks, sport. But I appreciate the offer, I guess.
  20. I agree this played a big part and I'm glad Sarkisian let him play through it. I don't know what you mean by this. If you're suggesting I "play scared" and am projecting that onto Ewers, then I'll just say no, neither is the case. He was playing very timid, like he was afraid of re-aggravating the injury. For starters, he was throwing with mostly arm, seemingly self-limiting body rotation. Everything mid-range was sailing and the one ball he needed to put something on was 5yds under thrown. I don't think it's a reach to think he was worried about the oblique. His body language looked off too. There were plenty of comments on it at the time, so I'm not sure why it's such an incendiary opinion all of a sudden. He woke up toward the end of the half and I think the biggest part of it was the TD run where he took contact and got up feeling fine. I think that unlocked him mentally and he played a lot better after that. I hope we get him at 100% tomorrow. If so, I don't see UGA having a chance in hell unless our defense stays in the locker room or something. If both sides play their B games in the same game, and we don't have special teams miscues, we're unbeatable.
  21. Thank you for the assurance. I doubt we'll ever know, so I'll take your word for it. As for the "defeatist bullshit (I've) posted", which part would that be? "We could use Bond's speed" "I feel pretty good about the defense" "Ewers doesn't throw a good deep ball, but UGA probably wasn't going to give us many chances deep anyway" "I think we're good if we play solid fundamental football" "We don't need heroics; the absence of turnovers/bullshit is probably enough" One of those, or something else? Perhaps my comment that Ewers played like shit for most of the 1st half against OU?
  22. You and a few others seem to be super quick on the trigger to get all spun up and talk shit to people, saying things you'd never say in person. All the "pussies", "retards", "fuckbois", "you fucking dolts", etc. aren't really needed and nobody takes people who act like that very seriously. We're just talking football. I don't recall worrying about how Ewers was going to play. I said he doesn't throw a good deep ball, but UGA probably wasn't going to give us that anyway. Ewers doesn't throw a great deep ball. That's not news. Yep. Probably not getting a lot of chances deep, hence the need for what Bond provides on the perimeter. Point out where I mentioned Beck, much less that I'd take him over Ewers. I'm a big fan of Ewers and he's our QB1, period. Not Arch, not anyone else's QB, just Ewers. Sark was right to leave him in and force him to work through the rusty start against OU, and I'm glad he did. That doesn't change the fact that he played like shit for 1.5 quarters and put Bond in some bad spots on a bad ankle (the under thrown ball where he awkwardly tried to get back to it and the high/behind overthrow that he had to get acrobatic on and wound up leaving the game after). Saying it isn't some kind of sin. Football opinions, all of which would be said in any forum or any context...unlike all the internet tough guy shit.
  23. Ewers played scared in the first half. He wouldn't step into anything and he was obviously worried about contact. It happened and he's not exempt from the truth. High performers don't worry about criticism. They address it, fix it, and move on. I'm guessing you wouldn't understand. You seem like the type who'd wet your pants, act passive-aggressive, and then be summarily dismissed/ignored.
