  1. Facemask?
  2. Agreed, except I'm not so sure our Defense gives up 24 - unless we're way up and they score in garbage time.
  3. Anybody watching the game on the Fort Worth side tomorrow?
  4. The #1 thing the team/staff needs to do this week is avoid overthinking the game, outsmarting themselves, and trying to get too cute. The team has its identity and Oklahoma isn't some special case requiring anything fancy. Just play 2023 Texas football and we're good.
  5. Pull Hill and anyone else we can't afford to lose for the 1st half of Texas-OU. That was a dumb PF penalty. Don't need anyone getting ejected for targeting or a 2nd PF.
  6. Brooks - 13 for 180 and a TD. Avg. 13.8 YPC Mitchell - 7 for 104, 14.9 YPC 454 total offense. 6 point lead. WTF.
  7. This is the kind of game where we fuck around, Kansas manages to hang in there, and we have a 1-score 4th qtr where we're all shitting bricks. 342 yards of offense in the first half and 13 ... THIRTEEN ... points to show for it. Unreal.
  8. Probably already been covered, but this game worries me. - 4-0 - Riding high on a #3 ranking - Huge rivalry game the following week - A Kansas team that is no joke I could see this team having a letdown/trap game and getting beaten. I've watched Kansas play a couple of games now and they are no slouch. They aren't going to the CFP, but they don't suck and will not be an easy win if we lose focus and bring less than our A game. We are a far better team, and if we play our best vs. their best, we win by 2-3 touchdowns. If we don't and they do, we lose.
  9. Gonna call him out of bounds. Watch.
  10. Texas A&M has been fielding a team since 1894.
  11. Wyoming isn't a complete cupcake, but they aren't good either. What in the absolute F is going on with this team? I expected them to come out flat after the big win, because that's what Texas does, but I didn't expect it to last the entire 1st half. Ewers sucks, the WRs are dropping balls...everybody is playing terrible.
  12. That's not harsh considering the context/circumstances. Player ghosted the program (sounds like he was unhappy about the position they were making him play), claimed mental health, but did not respond to coaches or the Head Coach's direct request to see him. Then he thinks he can just roll back in because "mental health" excuses everything. Kiffin was 100% correct and was justified in chewing on that ass even more than he did. Fuck that kid. Good luck getting anyone to let you transfer in now that everyone knows you're recording private conversations with the head coach.
  13. The logo was at midfield. Miami spent most of their time in the endzone.
  14. Most schools have aircraft, but state schools probably aren't getting away with a Gulfstream. Think King Air or Citation. That "A&M" jet is a 1997 G-IV; owner is based out of Ft. Worth/Benbrook. Either a workaround for the University so they don't have to answer to the state legislature, or a wealthy alumnus/fan who owns and operates it, "donating" flight time to the school.
  15. Texas A&M couldn't win it even with an agreement already in place.
  16. This one's great. Cocked to start when we make an appearance, but the whole thing is pretty great. Love the wiping tears with $100 bills and making them switch "Oklahoma and Texas" to "Texas and Oklahoma."
  17. Stupid Aggy.
  18. But we also didn't muff any, which is what teams do against Alabama. I don't mind that particular strategy, given how aggressive we were in every other phase of the game. Had we been conservative all around, I wouldn't like it so much.
  19. Enough time has passed that the Marcell Dareus thing is just a good, solid troll job. Gotta just laugh and appreciate that one. The replay of Ewers' injury from just last year is in poor taste. Who can know for sure, but my *opinion* is that it was intentional - and even if it wasn't, celebrating injury is over the line.
  20. Even #2, ahead of FSU and Michigan, wouldn't have been a stretch. UGA is the defending champ, so they get #1 until they lose it, but FSU and Texas are the only teams up top who have beaten anybody. And we won against Alabama on the road. FSU's win was basically a home game.
  21. He's 100% correct that those 2 plays were all about design. Watch Cook (#2) on the first play. As soon as he freezes the safety, he throws his hands up in celebration. The ball was barely out of Ewers' hand and they already knew it was a TD (absent a poor throw/drop). Sark deserves a lot of credit for dialing them up, but the players weren't just running routes - they were EXECUTING PLAYS, which is different.
  22. I need to redo it to get the window/blinds reflection off the screen.
  23. We completely dominated the line of scrimmage. Not only was Ewers sacked ZERO times, he also had time to let deep routes develop (those 2 deep ball TDs don't happen without the OL nutting up). The fact that we got 5 sacks on Milroe (plus 2-3 where we had him in hand and he escaped) was incredible- especially only rushing 4 and Alabama's RT being allowed to hold all night long. OL/DL has been our weakness for a long time, but I guess the rumors of Sark recruiting OL/DL for the SEC move were true. Dominant performance. Well done, fellas. There were 6-7 completely different plays that all look nearly identical - the RT clothesline holding on the edge and the refs "missing" it. Different play
