  1. He's no Josh Pate, but I still enjoy his stuff. He seems to be way more accurate and in touch than most of the guys on traditional platforms these days.
  2. Going to secrant is the first mistake. As dense and ignorant as a lot of SEC fans tend to be, that board is the absolute bottom of the dumpster.
  3. An unprofessional, bush league conference is behaving unprofessionally? Who would have thought!? And yet they keep scratching their heads wondering why they've been relegated. At this point, i'm done paying any mind to it. Let's just win this po-dunk operation and gtfo.
  4. Hasn't he already visited DKR with two other programs?
  5. Didn't that Matt Hayes guy also write an article whining about how Cal was so much better than Texas when we got in the rose bowl?
  6. Lol, lack of winning history? That had a fluke year in the 50s, followed by a half century of mediocrity. It literally took the GOAT to make that shithole relevant.
  7. Historically, Tuscaloosa has never struck me as a uniquely tough place to play. Like the Orange Bowl back in the 80s, the difficulty has more to do with the team you're playing than anything.
  8. Jesus Christ, the narratives national guys come up with sometimes blows my mind. It's almost like they know a Manning is at Texas and haven't bothered to learn anything else about the QB room. Just completely contradicting all the Intel coming out of camp.
  9. I just don't know who I would even want us to go after at this point. There's no sure thing out there (I don't think Urban's a sure thing anymore for a few reasons). Kyle Shanahan seems like an NFL guy through and through. Traylor? I feel like if Sark fails, we have one more chance to get this shit right, before more long term damage to this program starts to set in. With that in mind, I feel like Traylor would be way too big a gamble. So yeah, I really hope Sark just works out. A shiver runs down my spine when I think about how we possibly might be one Gary Barnett hire away from 50 years of wandering the desert.
  10. We won't find out if Venables is going to be any good with that schedule, but if he does turn out to be a disaster, we'll know it this year if he has more than two regular season losses. Just pathetic. I don't want to hear them complain about the 24 SEC×3 schedule ever again.
  11. The biggest thing that gives me hope that I will see another football NC in my lifetime is reminding myself that Orgeron, Jimbo, Les Miles, and Larry Coker all have NC's.
  12. This. Sark's offense appears to be catered towards maximizing top-end talent. The problem is, this is predicated on the presence of elite talent to begin with. He's not a chicken salad out of chickenshit kind of guy. Good news is, he appears to be fixing the talent problem. I'm not completely sold on Sark as the guy to finally get things done in the W-L column; but I'm so tired of the endless cycle of coaching changes, combined with 13 years of shit on-field production causing me to reassess priorities in my life, that I'm good with him getting several more years at this point. There's no sure thing hire out there, and at the very least, I feel like Sark will leave the roster in better condition than he found it. Whether he's leaving 10-15 years from now with a statue, or a few years from now for too many 5 loss seasons.
  13. Doesnt matter either way. I remember thinking the Texas heat was gonna help us against Ohio State in 06. I quit caring about weather one way or another after that game.
  14. That's just depressing. I wouldn't have expected actual barbecue, but I would have given Wisconsin credit enough for there to at least be a grill.
  15. I'm really, REALLY hoping that those spoiled fucks have finally made a bad hire.
  16. If Texas still holds up at the point of attack in the late 3rd quarter, we pull away, imo. On paper, we should be superior at quarterback and skill positions this year. We should be able to score in bunches. I'm honestly way more worried about Big 12 fuckery this year than Bama. We HAVE to win this shitty conference this year. No excuses. Sark has checked all the boxes off the field, but if we don't win the conference this year, doubts about Sark having the ability to be the guy on gameday are going to skyrocket.
  17. Let's just stop and think about what kind of pussies it takes to spend so much time wondering how much other schools hate your rival. I don't give two shits what Kstate and Tech think about the dirt burglars.
  18. My favorite part is when they keep bringing up the "long game". I'm pretty sure connections in the city of Austin set you up a lot better in the long term than BR, where let's be honest, nothing is happening there outside of football, and they probably need to pull from state education funds to keep that running. No self-awareness at all.
  19. It just means more...
  20. Or we're being set up for one last swerve...
  21. It's gotta be rough having the only things of value in your state be a college football team you have to reallocate infrastructure funds to in order to keep it running, and one small district of a city that is quarantined off so tourists don't notice the rest of the city burning down.
  22. Good old bumper sticker logic. Keep it to CR.
  23. Have to admit, I was expecting to read a whole hell of a lot more dumbfuckery when I opened this thread. Surprisingly level-headed posts for SEC mouthbreathers.
  24. Exactly. You put your Heisman winner on the field on a crucial 4th down in the national championship game. Fuck all that other noise. Also, who cares? USC blinked. Texas didn't. Texas won. The fact that USC made a dumb decision doesn't invalidate our NC.
  25. I always forget that FSU was an independent when Bowden really started building that thing.
