  1. I'd watch a gimmick game like this over whatever mid-december snoozer they normally broadcast.
  2. I'd try to avoid driving over any bridges in Louisiana over the next few years. Sounds like they're scraping together every bit of change they can find.
  3. Yeah, outside of 08 that game has been a slog at best and an absolute disaster at worst since I've been a fan. They're basically aggy without all the visibility and memes to keep them in our consciousness it feels like.
  4. Do we actually know how this shit is gonna be organized next year or is this more of a Big 12 tiebreaker situation where it's still anyone's guess?
  5. I remember after 04 thinking there was no way we could lose Ced and DJ and get better. Obviously, I'm not saying we're in for a historic run next year; but I feel like we focus way more on what we're losing than what we could potentially be gaining when we have these discussions. QB will be in his 3rd year as a starter, should have the best OL we've had since 05, edge rush should improve, and the most talented players in our secondary will all be a year older. All this being said, we could easily drop 4 games with next year's schedule; but 2023 looked more like a team that was ahead of schedule than a team that was maxed out to me
  6. We will beat UM, they lose a shitload of people. Yeah. This really was a do or die year for them. They don't reload like Bama, Georgia, or even Ohio State do.
  7. Don't care who wins at this point. I'm just refreshed we have a non-sec NC game.
  8. Can we bring Musburger back for this shit?
  9. When the offseason hits, it really hits hard.
  10. After all the shit we've had to endure with the qb room over the last decade, I can't believe we're turning our nose up at bringing back an experienced starter that will be a top 10 qb in the country next year at minimum all because of some vague notion of timing. Especially after we just got our asses kicked by a qb that has been in college since Sam Ehlinger was a true sophomore. Not saying I want Quinn to hang around for 7 years; but I'll take bringing an experienced qb into the SEC. Exactly how good are y'all expecting Arch to be at this point in his career?
  11. It really is. I used to be a big "if it has sauce it isn't good bbq" guy. Then I traveled and had some pretty damn good bbq in Kansas City and Memphis and realized how cringey that whole train of thought is.
  12. Dogmatic opinions on food make you smarter.
  13. Dude. Every qb that is ever going to be worthwhile looks like a Heisman runner up right out of the womb. Didn't you know?
  14. Not sure what the point is of comparing Quinn to a guy who signed his LOI nearly two years before covid was a thing. Sure, more time doesn't guarantee Quinn ever gets to that point, but that's a ridiculous standard to hold him to at this point in his career.
  15. They really haven't had an extended down period since they hired Woody Hayes. They've had rough years from time to time, but their most "traumatic" spell has been John Cooper basically being early 2000s Mack.
  16. Not sure what people are expecting from a qb that should be a true sophomore. I keep seeing people say he's not "that guy" but I'm not sure how that is supposed to be measured. How many "that guys" are there playing qb in any given year? JJ McCarthy doesn't strike me as a "that guy" but Michigan is in the NC; and we've seen what Georgia has been winning with at QB.
  17. Hoping his conditioning and technique gets up to speed over the offseason. His size would be great for SEC play.
  18. I'm hoping to have a far more consistent and dominant run game next year. Especially since Quinn will need time to gel with a talented but inexperienced WR core.
  19. Disappointing end to an awesome season. Good news is we should be even better on the o-line next year and the defense should be better at almost every position except the interior d line.
  20. Pass defense has been a weakness for us all year. Nothing that happened on that front should have surprised us. Just not enough experienced athleticism at the moment. Still not sold on Joseph and Gideon, but the personnel just isn't there right now to hold up against a passing attack like that. Good news is, that's probably the last 7th year senior qb we're ever going to face with the way the game is headed.
