  1. Now don't take a breather, defense. This is typically the situation in which the team starts to subconsciously ease up. Champions don't do that
  2. That's actually good coverage. Great pass, but dangerous.
  3. Gbenda shot like a missile. First time I've ever written that
  4. Mostly mental mistakes at this point. Not surprising for 1st game, but a little surprising re: who is making them. Get it cleaned up and we will roll.
  5. Goddam it, Majors! That's 2 fucking penalties on you, dumbass
  6. You're gonna get hit anyway, so u might as well catch it
  7. Holmes has had great coverage on 2 targets
  8. Bad stuff the last several plays. Interior O-line gets its shit pushed in for a 3 yard loss. Blue shows he is no Bijan catching the ball. Should have been 3rd and short. And then Quinn gets greedy, resulting in a pick. Just need to settle down and play smarter.
  9. Hard pass on BH for the same reason BigD stated. It's weak.
  10. Lindenwood?! Seems like aggy's schedule maker must now be working at Kansas.
  11. I see the Bears beat the Steelers 14-10. I thought NFL preseason was over.
  12. The Beatles did it a fair amount as well, as indicated in a couple of the above posts. There was also Savoy Truffle, which references Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. John Lennon referenced I Am The Walrus in his song "God." Harrison referenced You Really Got A Hold On Me in When We Was Fab. I know Madonna has put prior lyrics in one or more of her songs -- just can't recall the song(s), though.
  13. Also Beatles -- All You Need Is Love (references She Loves You in the fadeout) Sting -- Love Is The Seventh Wave (references Every Breath You Take at the end) Also Sting -- We'll Be Together (references If You Love Somebody Set Them Free)
  14. Don't think I'd ever previously seen a handle of 1783.
  15. I-40. Stop at Petrified Forest National Park. Stop in Winslow -- stand on corner and wait for girl in a flatbed Ford. Stop in Flagstaff and go to Mother Road Brewery.
  16. "Just don't be an ass on here is all I really ask" = "Don't you dare post anything that could even remotely be construed as criticism of me!"
  17. Well, scratch that option. https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/40884759/judge-blocks-espn-fox-warner-sports-streaming-venture-venu
  18. Always kinda liked the Breakup Song. Jeopardy not so much. Just realized the latter kinda ripped off Santana's Evil Ways.
  19. The last week or so has been one big kick to the balls of this Horns/Vikings fan with the injuries to McCarthy, Baxter and Clark. Fuck.
  20. Yeah, McKenna B-I-B always seemed like a proofed up EW SiB to me -- same mashbill and whatnot. And I liked it when it was around the same price as the EW because at 86.6 proof, the EW can sometimes almost be a little too smooth, so the additional kick of the McKenna was welcome. But McKenna isn't *that* much better than EW in my book. The price of McKenna at my main place has now slipped down to $60, which is certainly better than where it was at not too long ago ($100), but I still can't bring myself to shell out even $60 for it when there are so many terrific options in that range. If/when it drops below $50, then I'll probably pull the trigger and revisit it for the first time since the price skyrocketed after it won the SF competition back in '19. Related note: Color me happy that Heaven Hill wised up and decided to sell the EW SiB outside of Kentucky again. It's still a bargain, IMO.
