  1. Probably about the same amount of character-building that has occurred among Rangers fans after Freese's shenanigans in 2011. But I really didn't come here to throw darts. I saw the Bartman posts and felt compelled to comment. I'm pulling for Texas in this one simply because the Rangers haven't won a World Series, and I'd like to see them go back. If my team isn't in the hunt, then I typically pull for the underdog or the team that hasn't won it before or at least hasn't won it in a long time. So I hope Texas comes out on top in Game 7. Good luck to the Rangers. I'm rooting for the D-Backs for similar reasons in the NLCS.
  2. And fuck you very much for inquiring about him. Sincerely, A Cubs fan
  3. I give Majors credit for simply being out there after his injury. The word is that the staff had hoped to sit him against Houston. Whether he was 70% or 80% -- I don't know. But I do know he wasn't 100%. That said, on the occasional play when I focused on Majors, he seemed to be doing decent work. I'm sure there were probably other plays where he checked the negative box, and I just didn't happen to focus on them. But I don't know if I buy the notion that he was getting bullied "all game." Frankly, I think Connor is the bigger problem in the run game. And our tackles didn't exactly cover themselves in glory on Saturday, either.
  4. Saw something similar happen earlier today in the Tenn.-Ala game on a kickoff, and it wasn't even the receiver who fielded the kick. It was his teammate who was also back deep.
  5. But we make otherwise-anemic offenses look great. And BYU has an experienced QB (Slovis). PK and his staff have a lot of work to do. Hopefully they get Watts back next week.
  6. Hang in there, dude. And thanks for the reminder that there are things bigger than this game.
  7. Just realized this makes us bowl eligible. One of the few good things to cross my mind since Texas scored to make it 21-0.
  8. I agree it could have been some of both. But I think it's pretty clear that the level of UT's play regressed after the first quarter. We started seeing some assignment busts, missed tackles, missed blocks, shit calls, and lax play that wasn't seen early on.
  9. Is one of the two plays to which you're referring the decision to wipe the TD off the board for Houston early in the second half? If so, you know that Houston eventually scored a TD on that drive a couple plays later, right? So I don't know how much of a gift that was. (And, yes, I figured that they would let the score stand, so was surprised with the overturn.)
  10. No, we played like dogshit from about 12 minutes left in the second quarter on. That's the aggravating part of it. This team was rolling. And then like they always seem to do, they let up, both coaches and players.
  11. Talk about a victory that feels like a loss.
  12. Not a single holding call on those motherfuckers all day
  13. This fucking pass non-defense is killing me
  14. First penalty called on them all day and only because it was obvious and right in front of the ref. Anyone surprised by this?
  15. Taaffe again gets beaten on a crosser. Holmes misses Tackle and then a b******* call on Hill, who simply tripped
  16. Defense gives up another third and long conversion. PK needs to go. he's terrible.
  17. G another long third down how will we give it up this time
  18. JFC, they can't get any pressure. Multiple DBs can't even get a WR to the ground
