  1. Us “pro’s” usually like that feature. I always want to know at the earliest time. I can see where it would be jarring.
  2. Damn, I’m in that video from the Arkansas game.
  3. Yeah but most defendants would show up and look the jury in the eye and say “I did not do it”. To totally not show up for a trial where the central allegation is rape cancels out any of that BS especially since the legal standard is only a preponderance of the evidence. Glad you aren’t on the jury.
  4. The simple fact that proves all the mythology of Texas exceptionalism false is that they continue to elect Ted Cruz to public office.
  5. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about him liking a tweet that RT should be fired and backslapping Morris and Holland on going to Kansas and de-committing. Come on, keep up
  6. I can’t say that I know if they talked to him but I do know that to a man they were really pissed of at him for letting them down during a season they all thought could be special.
  7. This is a well thought out and articulate explanation why some of us were not caught up in the RT emotional response engaged in by the media, former players and apparently our administration. Morris started talking portal shortly after Beard was suspended. Several connected AAU (including one that bridges AAU and UT) folks were openly talking about it. What kind of makes me curious is Mitchell. By my observations he was not a locker room cancer nor a malcontent. Something changed. I think the older guys kept the egos in check but they both had some impact on Holland and their Instagram stories clearly show support for his decision. I don’t speak 19 year old but I took the 🤞🏼from Morris to Holland being the hope he would consider Kansas. The whole mess is disappointing. To go from the optimism of Beard to this just sucks.
  8. Dillon Mitchell seems overjoyed about Morris and Holland. Something seems strange.
  9. Then keep it to yourself if you have to be that cryptic.
  10. It just seems unsustainable to me. The money needed to fund NIL is going to keep going up. Sooner or later it’s going to be taking away from money that used to be donated to these schools for operations and facility projects. The beast is just going to demand more and more money. There’s got to be a tipping point.
  11. What are you talking about with the higher ups? You mean big NIL donors because that is likely what this is about.
  12. It won’t matter if he’s making $$ but the PAC doesn’t even have a tv contract and when they do 80% of it will be online only.
  13. Think he is financing the NIL for this himself? Its in his interest and Colorado is not the end destination.
  14. I wonder if he even knew who he was? He might end up regretting that when the kid talks about how much alumni support he is getting.
  15. Sorry I wasn’t clear enough for you. I’ll try to get low enough for you next time.
  16. Back in the 90’s I remember thinking she was pretty good looking.
  17. That was really my point. I remember thinking he was good but did not see it coming what he would be in the NBA. I was at a lot of his games and I’m not saying he is not in the pantheon of UT basketball. This year was just unique and being in Moody it was almost like everyone was just waiting to erupt when Rice touched the ball. Him playing to the crowd, giving high fives to fans. It was just lot of fun watching him play. Maybe it’s just fresher than my memory of KD in the Erwin Center.
  18. KD’s reputation is really more for what he’s done in the NBA over Texas. I’d put Rice above him for impact, excitement and showmanship.
  19. I think the point is that this type of crap is not what Austin needs help with. I’d much rather them be at least busting up all the graffiti than hassling people for traffic violations.
  20. We’ve got some issues in Austin. I really want to respect the police but this is consistent with every cop I have known or encountered. The police are populated with either former military types who think they are still in Iraq or those who probably were good people when they started but have become something else because the job really is shit. I have never encountered one professionally, socially or otherwise that I haven’t walked away from the conversation thinking that they were an asshole or had a screw loose. Go by Rudy’s on Lamar in the morning and listen to their conversations and look at all the tactical gear they are wearing around their beer bellies. It’s amazing that they can balance themselves to walk. Oh, and the entitlement they feel from businesses to get free stuff is pretty amazing.
