  1. Anwar Richardson. We are the only school where the 9.95 er’s are actively trying to trash our program.
  2. In my opinion, the powers that be are way too overconfident in their ability to find a coach as good or better.
  3. Here is what I know. Not charging you $9.95 so don’t care if you believe it or not. Don’t really care if you want to pick it apart as true or not true. If the DA indicts, he’s gone. They will not hang around for the disposition of the case. If not, they are open to keeping him. They believe that finding the right guy is hard. There is no doubt that Beard was the right guy. However, they also believe that we have all the institutional advantages to attract a really good coach if we are forced to. My personal response to this is: see football, but I’m not a decision maker. As I have said before, it is all up to what happens with the DA. Those of you who want him to stay should be hoping for a no bill or a refusal to proceed. Those of you that want him gone need to hope for a felony indictment. Not sure of what happens if he is just charged with a misdemeanor.
  4. I believe that most if not all tickets (excepting the student section) are held by season ticket holders. Seems like I read that in some AD email. So technically, all the games are sold out.
  5. Good on you for evolving. It’s funny though how people perceive things differently. I looked at Trump in 2016 as a guy who should never get anywhere close to power and was just downright stupid. I didn’t like Clinton at all but I would have voted for just about anyone over Trump. I did believe Clinton was competent and qualified to be President. I hope Trump has dissuaded most people that just anyone can be President.
  6. That’s just it. I don’t know. Maybe it’s her hiding under the bed sounding genuinely scared. It’s a data point that will be revealed.
  7. Beards last two hurdles are to survive the release of the 911 call and ultimate dismissal of the charges. If the call is bad he is gone. If not, then he needs to get charges dismissed. Not sure if he survives merely dropping the felony to a misdemeanor. With charges pending, I don’t see them bringing him back. Surely her lawyer did not let her issue that statement if it was contradictory to what she said on the call?
  8. It’s my favorite since BMW.
  9. I always feel so much better after reading one of your posts. So full of expert insight.
  10. Some of you really know how to kill my afternoon buzz.
  11. The fact that the cripple won't let anyone coordinate with the city or state they are sending them to tells me it is all about the cruelty. That particular bus I read was thought to be going to a different place and it was diverted. I am sure no erection Abbott was just rolling along thinking it was just hilarious.
  12. How being crippled makes him impervious to human pain and suffering.
  13. My kids tell me that at the last game they roped off the bottom three rows courtside for the olds who bought the tickets.
  14. I haven’t seen too many empty seats at any home game this year.
  15. A lot of fear in this post. This is exactly how you end up with Shaka Smart.
  16. It's like his whole purpose in life is to express fake outrage.
  17. All I know is that the panels that cover it during a basketball game are designed to reflect sound and make it loud. They work. My old ears ring at night after the game.
  18. I would expect UT’s fancy lawyers have talked to her. Can’t imagine they would have passed on that billing opportunity.
  19. I only work for free these days fixing injustice. Just bored on a plane from NYC to Austin.
  20. I can respect your opinion up until you start making shit up. What he acknowledged was that he stopped her from attacking him. I realize that could mean all types of things but to say he is some sort of abuser has not been proven. You know what’s missing here? Other women coming forward and saying that he has been physical with them. Facts like that help with insight as to whose story is more accurate. But, this quote is where you show your bias: “But it's also a fact that Beard didn't deny assaulting her to the cops. He merely claimed that she started it, which might matter interms of his criminal situation, but doesn't mean a hill of beans in terms of public opinion. He has proven himself to be a low-life that will assault a woman.”
  21. What you don’t understand is that if Beard had left the house and drove to the police station and made a complaint, showed them his bruises, and said she attacked him, she would have been arrested that night.
  22. Easy Thunder. That’s not what I said at all. Garza is a nobody especially in the sense that he has never been a prosecutor and is now running a 200 person prosecutor office. In 30 years practicing law I have never read a PC affidavit that accurately reflected what happened in a matter like this. You are taking it at face value and generally that is not safe ground. If Randi was my sister I would have to acknowledge that she started the physical aspect of this confrontation which would lead me to at least question what went on. I get it, you don’t like Beard.
