  1. Not only condescending but a dumbass. No, if some random dumbass in a yellow jacket runs up and says 'stop' you don't automatically stop. Especially if said dumbass strikes you with his flashlight. I really wish Scottie gave an unvarnished, completely true statement other than his initial "big misunderstanding" calm, cool, collected statement. Something like "I arrived onsite and there was complete chaos with no one in charge. There were a few fat guys in yellow jackets all standing around doing nothing, so I proceeded with extreme caution to the entrance of my workplace. After I had driven a few yards at less than 10mph, one of the fat guys ran up and started pounding at my window, yelling unintelligibly. I calmly rolled down my window, and he yelled “I am in charge here! You will respect my authority! Where do you think you’re going?” I showed him my credential after which he looked utterly confused. He then yelled at me, “you need to wait for me to let you in! I am in charge here! You’re under arrest!” Then he hit me with his flashlight and I decided the best thing to do was shut up and go along until I could talk to my lawyer.
  2. I’m kinda wondering that myself. I don’t remember Gary Johnson at either dem or pub conventions.
  3. Is he capable of scaring up anything close to $50k? If not, then that's kind of a red herring.
  4. I always thought it odd that even the top players drive themselves. What's even weirder is that most times, when the player and caddy come in the same car, the player is behind the wheel. Isn't that the caddy's job? Another oddity is when they put their shoes on in the parking lot. Playing at some of the top courses in the US with presumably great facilities (no first hand knowledge, most places wouldn't let me in), and they get dressed in the parking lot.
  5. I stopped doing that years ago, just too big a difference. On the rare occasion that I watch women's golf, I'll do that. But even that is starting to get depressing. 10 years ago I used to be on par (get it?) with the best women as far as distance, but now they sometimes are 1 or even 2 clubs less.
  6. That's what I always say. There are no bad dogs, just bad owners.
  7. Why do poor folks support Trump? This guy, that kid who came on here and begged for $2500, makes no sense. If you're poor, you should vote D, that's always been the case...well at least in the past 100 years or so. Now if they say, well, I supported dems my whole life and it didn't get me jack, then I can see that, but they never say that. Instead, they think some 'rich' fat bastid from NYC is gonna save them.
  8. Rumor was he bet big against himself.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if his thinking is 'hey I cut 75% of the staff at Twitter and it's running just fine, the same thing will work at Tesla.'
  10. Since you seem to be very familiar with the intersection and traverse it frequently, I don't see how YOU could have a wreck. If you're the guy turning right, you slow the heck down before starting your right turn so as to not get rear ended, then yield and only go when it's absolutely clear. Wait for the light to turn red for the left-turner if you have to. If you're the guy turning left, watch out for a guy turning right and proceed with extreme caution, like make sure he's come to a complete stop and sees you. Or, better yet, don't turn left and then try to make it into that driveway. Surely there's a better way into that gas station that might cost you a couple more minutes, or another gas station nearby. Or you could just not pay attention and run into someone and then be righteously claim you had the right of way as you deal with a damaged car and potentially injured people.
  11. Just skimming that list it’s so aggy that the leading tackler is a safety.
  12. You can schedule an unfreeze when you set a freeze.
  13. Freezing/unfreezing credit is so easy now I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it.
  14. You’re also older than USA USA which was invented in Lake Placid in 1980. And Beat LA which was invented in Boston during the epic Celtics vs Lakers battles of the 80’s.
  15. Yeah unless you've engaged in questionable activities with your bank in the past (not judging), they should refund your money with just a modicum of effort on your part. Further, Citi would also refund any late fees and interest charges, again, unless you have a habit of questionable activity. I don't see the authorities, or even the bank doing anything beyond that, maybe if your cc payment is in the high five figures. Couple years back, my wife's (no pics) business account had a check stolen that had been sent out USPS. The image of the check showed that it had clearly been tampered with, the payee was practically written in olde english. Wells Fargo refunded in a couple days upon being presented with the check image. But that's it. And, the check had been deposited into a Wells Fargo account! I forget the amount, less than $5k but more than $1k. So I guess Wells figures it's cheaper to just let it go rather than investigate it.
  16. Oh yeah, after I got conditional approval and scheduled my interview, I got an email from CBP saying 'hey why don't you do Enrollment on Arrival instead?' Since I don't have any trips scheduled, I didn't think much of it. Plus it seems like a tarp! when you get back, oh no sir, sorry, you can't do that here, you have to do it somewhere else 1000 miles away and only between the hours of 1000a and 1005a.
  17. As I said upthread, i was lucky enough to get GE in about 10 days total, but given all the info in this thread, that would have to be the exception, not the rule. You could give the normal process a try, and as long as you have a cc that will cover the cost, really no harm done. But I think your best bet is to use the Mobile Passport Control app. I've used it several times at many US airports, but not DFW. The line for mobile has almost always been shorter than the GE line, and in the couple cases where it was not shorter, it was comparable. I really only got GE because I wanted TSAPre and my cc covered the cost. I think, at least for the time being, the mobile app is plenty good enough
  18. Finally got off my ass and used the credit from Chase to sign the wife (no pics) and me up. Submitted the app around 4/8, got conditionally approved 4/10, was able to make an appt last night 4/16 and got approved today 4/17. The appt making process was odd, when I first checked it had availability all day 4/25 and 4/26 but by the time the wife got home from work and I could firm up a good time, all the appts were gone. Checked a couple days later and they had appts every day of the week this week, all times of day. Not sure why it was so fast but not about to question it. Also the Chase reimbursement happened automatically, same day as the $100 charge showed up.
  19. Well if a negative number is 'very low' then I completely agree with you.
  20. I was able to short on E-Trade yesterday at 26.85. I figured I had missed the boat and had stopped trying but after reading here about the rubes sinking their life savings into it, I jumped in.
