  1. He looks like he would be good at polo or field hockey.

    Hudson Card

Agreed, although I have noticed some improvements. I think maybe he has finally heard the criticisms - mostly about him being too slow in decision making. For the most part, on Saturday he did seem (to me) to be making faster decisions. He needs to trust himself better. He will make mistakes with a wrong decision here or there, but hopefully more of them will be good decisions and will lead to fewer sacks or TFLs. He could be a really good NCAA QB one day if he was QB1 somewhere with good QB coaching, and where he doesn't have to worry about being demoted. Didn't Shane do well at SMU and eventually get to the NFL as a backup? Card seems like a good kid that might be in the right place at the wrong time. Thanks man - it hurt to write, but I couldn't find a cancel button when I was done so I just said eff-it.

    Hudson Card

I look at it this way. His brain was on Windows XP but he improved to Windows 7 this week. He only blue-screened a couple times, and one of them didn't crash - the operator caught it. If he can get up to Windows 10 he can be really good. Windows 11 would be better but with Windows 10 at least he should be able to process more quickly. The admins appear to be working on him, but with some things there is no shortcut. You have to do some upgrades in sequence or you lose prior data. XP to 7 is a big jump and it worked well. Windows 7 to 10 isn't as big and I think he will take it well, and with no data loss. That should speed things up tremendously. Especially when they go from 32 to 64bit. Don't expect Windows 11 right away though - it often takes hardware upgrades.
  4. So it was another missed tackle?
  5. SEC is fining schools for this shit. Kentucky - $200k A2M = $100k Arky = $100k
  6. Obi Wan Quinnobi? That could catch on.
  7. Our D can't seem to tackle the players. Why do you think they could take out the refs?

    Hudson Card

Wait - are we talking about Card or Case?
  9. I mentioned something similar in another post. Our time of possession today was a few seconds over 24 minutes. We have the best RB in the country. If we just used him and the others more than 30 carries combined maybe we eat more clock, keep Tech offense off the field, and give our D a little rest. If/when we get Quinn back we might have a few series where we take 2 or 3 downs to go to the house with his arm, but he would open up the choice to run or pass with both being close to equal. Losing stars on either side of the ball hurts in ways we don't think about.
  10. He could at least keep them off the field so they had more of a chance.

    30 and 16

That, and for running the wildcat with a prior QB but not throwing from the formation at least once or twice a game so the opposing defense at least has to think about a pass out of that formation.
  12. If we can get Quinn back, and maybe either make Patterson DC or at least promote him to some position that allows him to go out and coach the D how to pickup stray footballs they see on the ground or even (God forbid) force the other team to drop a few more - then we throttle OU. At this point I wouldn't be against putting the defense on bi-polar meds. One second they are stopping Alabama and the next they struggle against UTSA and Tech. As for the offense, maybe we need to dig out GDGDs old playbook, bring in a voodoo priest, and have a ceremonial burning. These passes Card is attempting are looking really familiar. I will say Card isn't dogshit, but I could see him being in that meme where there are two red buttons and the person in the meme can't decide which one to push. When Quinn is back someone needs to really work with Card on making better decisions and getting the ball out of his hands much faster.
  13. Is that targeting or is it legal?
  14. No - UNT are the cunts according to the merch
  15. He was only throwing short, *gentle* passes. That said, we don't know if that is because he was told to or if he is holding back. I'd guess 90% he was told to, but could throw harder. Why waste him and risk further injury for UTSA?
  16. Actually I don't think so. Hear me out because this sounds kinda stupid even to me... Most of the SEC is tired of AL, GA, and 1 or 2 other teams always getting the recruits, getting the big games, and winning everything. We showed up for 1 game vs Bama, punched them harder than they've been punched in a while, on national tv in a #1 vs NR Gameday matchup. We knocked them out of #1 with a LOSS, and moved up from NR to #21. Most of CFB has seen the crap calls, the tweets from people like Barstool, Fox, Reggie Bush, and they know Bama showed weakness. I think there are SEC teams that are wanting TX/OU to come early now because we both bring parity. AL/GA no longer have a clear path each year if they have to deal with TX/OU, which means there will be likely several 1-loss teams vying for the SEC championship. I also think ESPN wants more, and they will do what they can to accelerate the move. None of them will really like us but if it means AL, GA, and 1 or 2 others get beat up on a little bit then the other teams will have a better chance. We could beat AL one year, OU could as well, and maybe LSU beats one of us allowing maybe an Arky or a FL to edge us out. It could easily happen. We might (will probably) have an initiation year of horrible calls but we have that now. I don't think it will be permanent in the SEC against us - seems like they spread that around. If Bama and GA have competition they may lose the favoritism, and with 5 or 6 good teams it is way harder to favor one or two. Or maybe I'm drunk.

    TEXAS QB TALK

I'll bet you $100 Kansas won't score 50 in DKR this year.
