  1. Try imagining Mike Leach on acid.
  2. It Puts the Lotion In the Basket
  3. I didn't get there the last few seasons (just moved back to TX last year) so I didn't get to see that. I guess that's not too bad. My first instinct was to compare the song being played over the speakers to what is happening with military funerals across the country. There are so many old vets dying now from WWII and Korea that there aren't enough buglers to play at their funerals - even if you use the honor guards from the American Legion. Now unless the funeral is somewhere like Arlington Cemetery the Honor Guard gets someone to hold the bugle with a speaker/mp3 player thing in the bell, and when they hit the button "Taps" plays. I hate that with a passion. I may actually borrow one of my local Legion's bugles and try to perfect Taps myself. Then I realized they play over the speakers at halftime already, so it isn't a bad compromise. I do hope UT is careful with this whole process though. Often times when a group of people protest and end up getting what they want (to whatever percentage they got) they may be quicker in the future to protest the latest thing that offends someone. Who knows - in the future anti-gun groups could protest Smokey the Cannon, PETA could protest Bevo, and women from Tennessee could get pissed at the LHB for playing "The Yellow Rose of Texas" - lyrics: "... But the Yellow Rose of Texas Beats the belles of Tennessee."
  4. I still go back and watch that game whenever I want a good laugh. What's scary is that game may rank in the top 10 of Longhorns single game player performances.
  5. Nolan Ryan. 5,714 strikeouts. 7 no hitters, and this glorious moment in history...
  6. It would be fun to watch, but he would have to live somewhere near Detroit to play there. Of course with his money, and the $1000 houses (if they still have them), he could basically buy a large percentage of Detroit. Then raze the houses, build a moat, hire a ton of security, and design someplace safe to live. He would just have to have all his supplies helicoptered in. Nah - still not worth it.
  7. Right, and there's no way Sark picked up any of that while there, huh.
  8. One thing I know is that I haven't seen Alabama play down to their opponent's talent. They beat the people they are supposed to beat, and usually beat the rest of them as well. Tom could be 50/50 against Lamar.
  9. Hopefully the burnt variety, not the "out late with guns and weed" shade.
  10. We still have NSD2 as well for this year.
  11. Dude has 2 of the 4 Heisman finalists *this year*. He is known for coaching up QBs (one of which is a finalist). He has NFL experience, experience at a couple of major schools, SEC and west coast ties, and a possibility of a natty this year. If he has a good answer for beating addiction, he should be a huge upgrade on recruiting.
  12. Usually that's 100%. Although, the expression "Birds of a feather flock together" comes to mind. If his best friends are Alabama coaches we could do worse.
  13. You could get away with just 2 cutouts using emojis. Left one has fire (flames) on the jersey, right one has a turtle. They might also take Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupons to bring the price down.
  14. What's with the mask cameltoe?
  15. Pinkie rings. If they get in *and* win they will get that sweet diamond-shaped lollipop on top.
  16. Tim Allen. His series ends this year, and press conferences would be hilarious.
  17. Nah - he jumped the shark years ago.
  18. We can make an exception this time.
  19. I have 2 on the way from Sam's Club. With remotes, of course.
  20. Warm is relative. It was low 30s here this morning near Tyler. And yeah - I never worried about the 30s until today when my furnace fan died and I have to wait until Monday for the part to come in. Low 30s with no heat sucks ass.
  21. The corn. I only go there for the corn and to get replacement Rudy's plastic cups when one hits the heating element in my dishwasher. Their creamed corn is the best I've had.
  22. The scary part of this is it's 2020, and a bunch of teams have had to cancel a bunch of games. They may not even have enough games to qualify for good bowls (if any), so a team like Texas could get a bowl much higher than they deserve. Personally I'm fine with that, win or lose. I do hope whatever choice they get is a good one for our players that stuck with this shit sandwich and didn't transfer/quit/opt out. I'd like to see them at least get a good road trip they can enjoy while their coach is getting canned and the new one is coming on.
