  1. I legitimately love this song, maybe even more than the Dire Straights original. This is so fucking good, they actually got Mark Knopler and Guy Fletcher from the real Dire Straights to play background. And they also got the original production company which did the Dire Straights music video, which eventually became Mainframe Entertainment, the creators of Reboot. A lot of fucking awesome pedigree in that silly song.
  2. It was the film which caused Orion to go out of business. It had the best pre-screening reviews of any movie in their history, and instead of letting it ride as a mid-budget success that would pull in way more than they cost to produce, they made it the single biggest marketing push in Orion history. Bigger than robocop. Hence, it ballooned the budget way way up on the marketing side, and was officially classified as one of the biggest bombs in movie history. Big enough to kill Orion. And all because they wanted to turn it into a blockbuster when it wasn't and never was intended to be. One of the funniest movies of all time. Both Weird Al movies are fucking hilarious, actually. And so it a lot of his music. Weird Al fucking rules.
  3. I have never heard anybody ever use Tuddy for TDs and if they did I would slap them in the teeth
  4. You know the BCS was classified as a MNC, right? It was no more legitimate than the AP champion.
  5. My current dog I got by complete accident and love him so much. I was going to buy a chocolate lab from a woman, but when I got there she had already sold the one I wanted. I was driving home, kinda pissed off, when I saw a person in a parking lot selling puppies, just straight mutts on the side of the road. I stopped and this little white puppy immediately stole my heart, he was 8 weeks old and small enough to fit in my hand. 15 years later he's still my best friend and I love him dearly. Best dog I've ever had and he was nothing fancy. I'm even pretty sure he was the runt. If you go looking for dogs, you'll get one. I know my old boy is at the end of his life and it crushes me. I've already made up my mind that when he passes, I'm going to get another dog immediately. I had a friend whose father lost a couple of dogs on the same day when we were in highschool, and went out the same day and bought a new puppy to deal with the grief. Not as a replacement, but rather because he always heard about how they'd bring puppies in to cheer up sick kids in hospitals and figured it could probably work for him too. And it did, he bonded with the puppy right away over helping him with his grief, which seems special to me. I know I'm going to be devastated when my dog passes so I've been thinking about what sort of dog I want next. A mutt I have no problem with, mutts are awesome, but I think i might like to get a dog with papers this time. Aussie Shepherds are fucking gorgeous dogs and I'd love one, but I don't know if I have the energy over now that I'm over the hill to keep running them like I'm supposed to. I've always loved labs, I think they're my favorite breed, but I've had those before. Maybe a golden retriever would be fun to have, I've always wanted one of those.
  6. Incidentally that intro from Keith Jackson is the best intro to a college football game I've ever heard, it perfectly sets up the situation and how epic it all was. A year-long story line for a single game. Immediately after the game, on the broadcast, there's actually a follow up to the intro where they play the rest of the song that played in the background during that intro, where they recap how Young beat the shit out of USC. Watching the intro and ending back to back is glorious on the Rose Bowl DVD.
  7. I will say that Arch pulling away from the entire defense even when they had the advantageous angle on his 67 yard scamper definitely felt shades of VY. That's the kind of shit VY could do with ease.
  8. Reminds me of when people were calling for the SEC champ to play a fucking WAC team for the MNC lol
  9. The best thing is that everybody in the fucking country knew what was coming on that 4th and 5 play in the Rose Bowl. Fucking everybody. And nobody could stop it.
  10. Re: VY being the greatest ever the thing about that is the circumstance which he delivered. It's not something that's really fair to other QBs, because they don't get to pick their challenger, but VY had an all-time great foe to conquer, which is exactly why his heroics are so memorable. It's not just that VY was amazing at what he did, he did it against the "greatest of all time" USC. Arch and Quinn don't have a foe like that to vanquish, because USC's reputation wasn't built in a single year. It was a multi-year dynasty that was looking like the best ever. The closest you could get would be Quinn beating Saban in Tuscaloosa, but that wasn't for all the marbles. Georgia today doesn't have the mystique that 2005 USC had. There's simply no all-time villains for our current QBs to slay. Even if quinn or arch winds up winning the title and heisman, it still can't compare to what VY did because it felt like VY single-handedly dismantled a dynasty. USC has never been the same since that night.
  11. Yup. Imagine what Arch is going to look like with 3 years of Sark under his belt like Quinn has. We should probably trust our superstar head coach who is supposed to be renowned for developing qbs.
  12. Because it's norman fucking oklahoma.
  13. I don't think OU is going to like the SEC like they liked the Big 12
  14. yes, I asked my doctor about this because I had heard about it recently, and unfortunately it's not an option for me. They don't offer the precise biologic I need.
  15. assuming no ULM score, this should be our third 50+ point victory this season.
