steam downloads will always be quicker than any console even on worse network conditions because Steam downloads are a special compression that requires CPU use when downloading. This is why by default "download when playing a game" option is disabled in Steam, because it steals CPU cycles away from the game. This is also why the Steam Deck cannot download games while in sleep mode, it requires an active running CPU to download and decompress on the fly. This is also why when you download games on steam, you'll see your CPU usage spike. Xbox and playstation don't use similar compression, which is why they can download while asleep and in-game, but are slower to download as a result.
If you don't render the directional lighting, you'll get a black screen. The lighting pass for stadium lighting is baked diffuse lighting. I did a game for the Rockets and got to use their toyota center assets for the arena, and until l baked the lighting the entire arena would appear pitch black. With modern game engines, you basically can't forget to render lighting, because the default lighting model isn't full on full bright anymore.
