  1. Yeah, well whatever it was, it was stupid.
  2. In no world would he align on the opposite side of the field from his guy…. He may have busted but you don’t take a step forward at full speed on a “pressure” then back track to get to a RB who was aligned on the other side. Maybe not a spy, but I can’t think of anything else based on alignment, and his actions post snap. If that’s on McDonald then I’m going to guess he is significantly misaligned. Taffe is probably a pressure/add and if the RB peels out he goes with him.
  3. I think McDonald is a spy here and getting back to the middle and just sees the RB streaking out uncovered.
  4. Re Childress Hall - The 2nd course just opened, it was not open when I was able to go. First course was awesome. Pretty open, but if you do hit it in the shit, it’s gone. A couple of alternating fairways from tee boxes, a couple of holes with alternate greens. Some good elevation changes as well. The lodge should be finished soon. They bought a building “downtown” turned it into apartments, and full service bar/restaurant/pro-shop. Incredible experience, un matched hospitality. They have some of the best folks in the industry (golf/hospitality) involved in the project. From what I understand, membership will remain extremely limited under current ownership. I believe there are only 3 members from Austin now. If you get the chance to go, it’s definitely worth it.
  5. I have in fact seen it and played it. It does exist.
  6. We need to get out of blitz schemes and any man scheme on 3rd/4th and long. Play 2 high zone with all eyes back on the qb and let our monster front go to work. We gave up multiple 3rd/4th and extremely long yesterday that definitely could have altered the game and most definitely flipped field position significantly.
  7. LOL.... the number of practices was not reduced. The number of "contact periods" during practice were reduced and altered. From a football perspective, the spring game is a joke and only for the fans. This thread is nuts. Y'all are wild.
  8. So much could be said here… but Players play. Play because you have pride, whether that be in your self, your school, your damn teammates, or the money you are now being paid. While it might not make much sense to fans, the players can stop doing dumb shit and work to put together a complete game(s) whenever they fucking decide, especially against a team like Arkansas. Even if “there is nothing to lay for.” This isn’t fucking Hoosiers or some shit, dropping passes, all Americans jumping off sides, busting coverages not knowing the sticks on critical downs, are dumb player mistakes. Gene Hackman and some gassers aren’t nor never were going to fix this shit. Players play and y’all some ho’s.
  9. Also, counterpoint, the offense might look average and have some sustainable drives with a QB who has the ability to get the ball out quickly, accurately, and not fucking shot-putting it at receivers feet.... Maybe not as boom/bust (mainly bust), but more consistent, which should help the defense, the OL, and the offense as a whole in the 4th Quarter. Also sitting, for a week, another bye, and getting his cabeza rearranged, may end of being a very good thing for Arch.
  10. Arch wouldn’t start at Troy
  11. some hoes
  12. Some of y’all are drinking, and it shows.
  13. Wisner averaged 5 YPC against tOSU and you guys are bitching? It was great to see Baxter back at that caliber so soon after the knee injury - but Wisner was clearly the better back on Saturday.
  14. It’s definitely a misread. The play is designed to go to Wingo and he is open.
  15. Lol…. No. Down, distance, formation, alignment, player tendency all can dictate plays and known route combinations. It’s exactly what teams study, practice and scheme for. Your team also has to know what to run, be comfortable with what they run and be able to execute what they run too. Football isn’t played in a vacuum or a madden screen. Shit, our first play of the game is the same play we have run for each of Arch’s starts, (tOSU must have known that) and it was wide fucking open and Arch shot putted the ball into the dirt. When individual play limits what you can execute schematically, magically shit doesn’t work as well. Ewers struggled with the deep middle/post routes, and excelled at the mid and short passing game. Thus, our game plans and execution reflected that. On Saturday Arch did not do anything well. We ran him, we moved him out of the pocket, we gave him short throws, long throws, throws over the middle, play action throws, etc….. nothing sparked him. Saturday was not his day, and our offense reflected that. If Arch was just “bad” instead of “terribad” on Saturday, we win that game.
  16. The film guy breakdown is good, but I feel the general theme is being missed. Yes, Sark has some tendencies, literally every team/coach does. tOSU is really good on defense, Caleb Downs and others are really good at football. The general theme, and what is true, is Arch was bad. Mechanically he was bad, timing was bad, reads weren’t great…. All types of throws/plays were attempted and called and he did not excel at any of them. Even if he was like 20% better we might when that game still. The next 3 games will be good for him to get through progressions, get in rhythm and generally play football with confidence…. Which was clearly lacking on Saturday. Get feeling good about yourself rolling into Florida/OU.
  17. I mean it makes a difference when your QB is having as rough of a day as he did. There were several explosive passing plays that were open, we could not get the ball to the players in question. Extremely rough day for QB play. That might also be the best defense we play all year.
  18. There is video floating around of the head of SEC officials explaining (with video examples) what would and wouldn't be a penalty. I think it may be tough for officials to discern, hopefully they are willing to pick some of these up if the line judges get trigger happy - overall I think it's an "ok" addition if it able to be enforced how they explained it.
  19. International Players Anthem…. Fuck yeah
  20. QE is the 4th or 5th best player on that list, in a vacuum. But QB carries more weight...
