  1. i fucked up and purchased a ticket for tomorrow basketball game. I didn't read that your phone has to have NFC technology, mine doesn't. Website says you can go to box office opening at 10:00. Anyone have any experience with this type of fuck up? Also, parking at the manor garage? need to prepurchase? cost? can i just pull up and purchase with credit card? Help appreciated? To add to the fuck up, somehow I ended up on Seat Geek with the purchase. I do have the ticket in my wallet, so I got that going for me.
  2. Well, no guts, no glory. Maybe that's the way. B1G and SEC develop a plan, any plan to start discussing the topic. Throw in acc and b12 as interested parties, as they'll have to go along. Develop an "Officials Association " that the P4 must use. After thought on this is to have all P4 TV contracts provide an item line budget based on percentage of contracts. Make TV pay so conferences don't squabble over costs. BUT, most important is that Texas starts it and gets the credit. What starts here, changes the world!
  3. Maybe none of our business, but could the University take advantage of this situation in some way? Any benefits to be gained here? Would strong leadership pointing out that the SEC is to valuable and important not to have professional officials trained and dedicated full time to officiate all SEC men's and women's events? Show how the penalty triggered this event and similar ones around the conference. Make a case for professional full time refs, and bring to other schools, kind of sidestepping Sankey until a clear alignment solidifies with other schools. If UT got the ball rolling on this, could it help establish a new pecking order more fitting UT? Or would we get used and crapped on? Just seems like an opportunity to explore upgrading the officials from part time realtors or insurance salespeople.
  4. I'm not familiar with the scheduling rules and their peculiarities, but seems like the three best match-ups that weekend will be all on ABC. 11:00=3rd best 2:30=2nd best 6:30=best Match-up ranking TBD at last possible moment. Not saying much here though.
  5. Just tuned in and saw Elko move onto the field after a big play. Has he gotten fatter? His whisky belly looks huge. Looks a lot bigger than when they played ND.
  6. This is what Victor R. Franko would do..... 1) Take the money! 2) doesn't matter what I tell A&M for the money, because it's all under the table non-sense. Spend the money. 3) Publicly make a good sounding excuse to not attend this week to UT. This keeps me in good standing with UT, and A&M can crow over there one time victory. 4) Continue negotiations with UT and set up another meeting. It might be too obvious to set up a UT game visit every time they play. OU week UT is visitor so no visit there. OK, good enough set up Georgia visit, maybe another payday to not attend. 5) Could I get paid to visit aggy again when UT plays in Kyle? If yes, hold off commitment until after the game, get another payday, then no more commitments until I sign. New level of FUPM going on here.
  7. So what's to keep a player/recruit from using the Dickerson end around? Tell A&M everything they want to hear, place fat bag here. Commit on the pool party one day special, place fat bag here. Meanwhile negotiate with desirable team that may win something during my time there. Post negotiations, de-Commit and sign up with a legit NIL deal above board and IRS compliant. When aggy complains I tell them what Dickerson did. You want me to tell everyone where I got this money and why? If I was a stud recruit, I'd be tempted to do this, seems like easy money to me. Easy CASH money that disappears as gasoline, toys, clothes, booze, restaurant meals, computers for family and friends. Bag droppers seem like they want this type of compensation from a player/recruit. Bag Droppers playing the bag game in the time of legit above board NIL contracts, IMHO will get you broke. A fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place.
  8. What I learned this morning. I learned that trying to use the ESPN app and my YouTube TV credentials, It doesn't like the Brave Browser. Kept me in a loop trying to activate. Use google or Chrome or something besides Brave. Carry on.
  9. Yup, he's that bad. It's something that kept Reed (or Henderson) from playing. Something I'm sure we all know.
  10. Florida is the star of this show, not the jizz jar team.
  11. I've seen this movie before. It's called Varsity Blues. Coach Kilmer (Napier) is struggling with Mox (Lagway) over control and fellowship of the team. Hope real life ends like the movie, but I doubt it.
  12. Someone posted that this would be broadcast in 4K. Anyone know a sports bar in Austin with a true 4K setup? Preferably with topless women to help with all the commercials.
  13. Does anyone know of a sports bar in Austin that has a true 4K set up?
  14. Those ass wipes think that they'll have a QB controversy if they bench Wiggy. BWAHAHAH, they have the controversy now! They need to take a page out of Saban's book and bench that pothead TODAY. Let next man up show his stuff, and if needed the next one after him. If I were Elko, I'd do it publicly, now. Saban accomplished three things by benching Milrose early last year. 1)He satisfied those bastards yelling for him to bench Milrose. 2) Showed those same dumb fucks what the other QBs play like and confirmed Milrose is the logical and better QB on the roster. 3) Let some of the air out of Milrose's fat head. Got Milrose back in line and focused on being a QB. Elko benches Conner, and they will discover that Henderson or Reed at QB is the better option. Something is wrong with the pothead. To much Latin lettuce or that injury is still messing with his head. Either way he needs to go to #3 QB and let the other two show if they're as bad. Something for them has to change. But then, they can avoid the controversy and keep starting Conner. Hee-Hee.
  15. Tarp keeps talking shit to readers, aggy admin and/or Texags may have to come out with some real info, even if a big lie, something.
  16. I'm also seeing them a couple of times a week, and I don't get out much. With all the sitings people have I question... Has anyone ever seen anything being carried in the bed? All I've ever seen is them driving around like a big fugly car, and never a working truck or something.
  17. I think I read here that the Mannings have strong beliefs that college QBs should have minimum of 30 starts before moving to the Pros. Big statistical indicator for Pro ball success.
  18. I'd been to BCS a few times while at UT for football and baseball games, late 70s early80s. I passed through CS about 3 years ago and immediately realized it's still the same nothing burg it was from 45 years ago, just a little bit more of it. Here is how I would describe the architectural scheme of the campus...Imagine driving through the country and passing through an area that has been cut up to 5 acre plot with oil covered dirt roads straddled by drainage ditches. Seeing on the plots what started as a single wide trailer, having small one room additions added on from whatever left over building materials the owner had from small contract jobs. These little 300 sqft. scabbed on additions occur 2-3 years apart. Eventually that 14'x52' single wide is now 2500 sqft. of mismatched shit stacked right up next to each other. Similar to Kyle field in appearance, afterthought after afterthought.
  19. A few can. I volunteer to lead the search committee in that building. These students can pitch, but eligibility may have expired.
  20. There will be many issues with a reconstruct of DF. Not to say it can't be done, but issues will need to be addressed at what cost. City of Austin owns Comal st. UT would have to purchase and negotiate ownership or redesign with the city. The roads that surround DF currently will need to be adjusted and remain in some fashion for Fire and EMS access. You're not going to be able to delete them. I'd bet $50.00 against $5.00 that there are a lot of utilities under Comal especially, much less the other roads. The utilities I'm guessing are, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Domestic Water, Fire Water, Power, Telecommunications, and any unknow items from the beginning of time. All those would need to be relocated, and it will not be cheap if even possible. I'm guessing other SEC stadiums with natural grass TURF, do not need a practice field? Certainly don't need a practice field with artificial TURF. I'd expect no issues growing grass as Dell Diamond is about same orientation and they have no issues. Plenty of sun in Texas for crying out loud. Hell may need shading. The best I would guess Texas could do is either place stadium in a new location completely, or relocate all the current supporting buildings around DF and then you can expand a little. Relocation of road along left and center fields could be tucked closer to tennis courts, but need fire truck requirements. More options could arise if Comal could be pushed east and utilities along with it.
  21. I saw somewhere 2:00 central. I can't find link to live stream. Who knows, meh.
  22. Not crazy at all, I been thinking on it. Not only does NIL help to make the college route sweeter, but with most SEC games being televised, a player gets much more exposure to fans than being on some AA or even AAA team. Exposure and name recognition equals money.
  23. Have to agree and 2nd Kevin Shannon for defense. Everything Cafe said is accurate. Definitely a liability at the plate, but his defense and throw them out arm was worth it.
  24. Did a quick search trying to determine where Texas was ranked at this time last year, the 2024 class. Came up with this article from Hook'em Headlines. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Article published July 2, 2023, By Andrew Miller. Ok. St. Alum. "The biggest single day on the recruiting trail for Texas football and head coach Steve Sarkisian in the 2024 class thus far occurred on July 1. Texas landed three blue-chip commitments in the span of a few hours on July 1." "Texas finished a big day on the recruiting trail on July 1 with 11 commitments in the 2024 class. This comes less than one month after Texas had less than half this number of pledges in the 2024 class." Where Texas’ 2024 class ranks according to the major recruiting services Here is where Texas stands in the 2024 class according to the major recruiting services (247Sports, Rivals, and On3). 247Sports Composite: 29th nationally, 1st in Big 12 Rivals: 29th nationally, 1st in Big 12 On3: 16th nationally, 1st in Big 12 ESPN: TBD (not updated since June 22) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ What a bunch of Sky is falling Twits. https://hookemheadlines.com/2023/07/02/texas-football-where-longhorns-sit-in-2024-recruiting-class-rankings/
