A 28-year-old motorcyclist died in Washington State on Friday afternoon because a dipshit Tesla driver rear-ended him at speed. A Snohomish man, 56, was commuting in his 2022 Tesla Model S when he activated the car’s camera-based advanced driver assist system and according to his statements to police, began looking through his phone. With nobody paying attention to the car’s actions, the Tesla software ignored Jeffrey Nissen on his motorcycle and continued on at speed. The car rear-ended the two-wheeler, Nissen was flung from the bike, and his life ended pinned underneath the electric car, where he was still lodged when police arrived to the scene. The Tesla driver, who told police he was “putting the trust in the machine to drive for him,” was inattentive to the road in front of him, and was only brought back to reality when he “heard a bang as the car lurched forward.” The driver was not impaired by drugs or alcohol, though he admitted to having an alcoholic beverage prior to the 3:54 p.m. crash.
  2. 3G. 5G wasn't invented back then.
  3. If there were only a T&F program in the state which could've helped him close the 3 meter gap....
  4. Pretty sure modern phones come with a panoramic setting for taking pictures.
  5. You mean our secondary coaches suck at talent evaluation and coaching for a decade plus? Every other facet of the team has improved with Sark. Why is it still the DB and not the coaching?
  6. Our secondary has looked like ass for Joseph's tenure here. It has not improved. From the spring game, it may have gotten worse. We have recruited well. At some point, it's not the player. Or if it is multiple players, it's clearly the fucking coaching, for their evaluation or their lack of coaching, or both.
  7. Apropos this thread. https://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/cyberattacks-rise-includes-small-businesses-109532762 According to the Verizon 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report, the median cost per ransomware attack — which features a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system until a sum of money is paid — more than doubled over the past two years to $26,000. That's partly because there has been a dramatic increase in ransomware attacks, which represent 24% of all breaches. Small businesses should first have a plan in place to prevent cyberattacks. The human element is the cause of 74% of breaches, so owners should make sure all of their employees use safeguards such as two-factor identification to make it harder to be hacked. Requiring employees to regularly change their passwords can also help.
  8. Well good news is we don't have to worry about technique when the DBs still don't know assignments and blow coverages. DBs don't have to turn around for the ball if they aren't within 10 yards of the receiver.
  9. It aint gonna be like it used to be....except for the record and lack of championships of any kind which will remain exactly the same.
  10. Cyber security is not just about the firewall and the IT infrastructure. You have to CONSTANTLY educate and train employees not to click on bullshit emails/attachments and not fall for bullshit help desk/password reset calls. Even then, it's sometimes hope and pray. We have a big budget for cyber security training. We have mandatory quarterly training to teach people about bullshit emails and NOT TO FUCKING CLICK ON THE LINKS AND ATTACHMENTS. The team routinely sends out test emails to test employees. The same motherfuckers repeatedly fail the test emails. Our CEO even failed a test email once.
  11. Got dammit, Sark. Sark has taken Texas too far to be torpedoed by a shitty coach who hasn't improved since setting foot on campus. Fire his ass. NO ONE would question that decision.
  12. Cyber security is an after thought for most companies, especially the small and midsized ones. They don't have the expertise or the money to spend to educate/train, prevent, and solve these ransomware attacks. Cyber security is all cost. When trying to maximize profits and margins, shit like cyber security is a bare minimum effort.
  13. I can semi understand hitting every company except humanitarian/hospital/public health places. There's being a dick and then there's being a absolute scumbag.
  14. I saw the eclipse and got measles! What a great day! https://abcnews.go.com/US/possible-measles-exposure-indiana-childrens-museum-total-eclipse-event/story?id=109490250 People who attended a total solar eclipse event at a children's museum in Indiana may have been exposed to measles, according to museum and health officials. An infected individual traveled to the event at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis on April 8 from out of state, the Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) said in a news release late Friday afternoon. There were 3,527 people in attendance on April 8, the children's museum said, adding that it sent out emails notifying households in attendance that day for whom it had contact information, as well as notified all staff and volunteers.
  15. "I will not tolerate any player loafing. But if you see a loaf, bring it to me because I'm hungry again."
  16. I'm pretty sure MMR vaccination has been required since I was in kindergarten in 1975. Do you have kids? Your kid has a vaccination card which someone in your family had to present to the schools.
  17. I'm going to wild ass guess Alfred Collins because he doesn't like all DT portals we are looking to bring in.
