  1. I'm sure that list sentence just triggered some dipshits on this board.
  2. Farrell is getting exactly what he intended. Troll job has people talking about him and his hot take. These pundits say all kinds of stupid shit. They'll be proved wrong eventually but by then they'll have said numerous other stupid shit and everyone just kinda moves on. It's not like he's going to get fired. If that were the normal outcome, Kunt Bohls would've been fired decades ago.
  3. The problem with batshit crazy is that they never go quietly into the night. I can't wait for the threats and tell all snippets.
  4. If I were about to descend to the depths where a tiny weak point would cause catastrophic failure, I'd be a little worried that there's a ratchet strap holding something together on the orb of death.
  5. Since it was a Freak Off, I assume this dude was invited.
  6. Someone in Reddit succinctly summarized why Vance was picked for VP and why he's now a liability. https://old.reddit.com/r/changemyview/comments/1fj4ynw/cmv_jd_vance_being_the_chosen_vp_was_one_of_the/lnly3hi/ Ok here we go, I am going to defend the Rs and JD Vance (well kinda TLDR at the end). JD Vance was an incredible brilliant pick at the time. JD Vance (Im talking about the 2020-2024 JD Vance here not the old one) had a couple of pro's and a couple of cons. PROs 1) Trump desperately and I mean desperately needed money in May of 2024. Look at the cash on hand metrics here https://ballotpedia.org/Presidential_election_campaign_finance,_2024. JD Vance was able to give him a large influx of cash from his very very close connections to Peter Thiel (Billionare former CEO of Paypal and huge in the silicon valley world). This connection also allowed Trump to form a bond with one Elon Musk, which allowed him back into the non exclusively right wing social network sphere, get a bunch of desperately needed funds, and have a very vocal and influential member of society in his corner. I want to make clear here, there were a bunch of reports that the money that came in June was from silicon valley and the tech sector, signaling the pick, but admiditly the bump from Jun-July is smaller. JD Vance did bring in a bunch of money but he may not have been the only thing causing that bump. 2) Trump liked JD Vance, because JD Vance is an ass kisser. JD Vance became a valued member of MAGA especially in the leadup to the 2022 election, where he doubled down on the MAGA base in Ohio and won an election to the senate (more on this later). Alignment and fealty to Trump are super important. 3) JD Vance is an attack dog in the media. He is very good at barbed language and speaking in an authoritative way. He is also not the worst spin doctor. You have to remember, the R's were running against Joe Biden. Joe Biden was a weak candidate, and there is a base part of the human psyche that prefers our leaders to be strong. Thats what Trump gives to a lot of people, the appearance of strength. The Republicans thought if they nominate an attack dog to make Biden look weak, they could cruise to an election win with Trump having the advantage at the time anyway. 4) JD Vance is heavily, heavily involved in project 2025. He wrote the forward for Kevin Roberts' (Project 2025 Architect) new book The Heritage foundation was instrumental in getting Vance on the ticket, with the articles I have read mentioning that if Trump were to go down for 1 reason or another, Heritage wanted one of "their guys" to step into the presidential slot. The heritage foundation donors are also huge donors to the GOP so, more money and keeping their side happy. CONs 1) People dont really like him. The untold part about the 2022 senate election was that the race was far far closer than it should have been (see I did come back). I want to give some credit to Tim Ryan for that, but it really really shouldn't have been that close, from what I understand due to some really poor debate performances and people in general not getting great vibes off him (people of Ohio please correct me if I am wrong as to why the underperformance). One of the old political adages is that VP picks don't really matter unless they are uniquely bad, so people not liking him was probably seen as something that doesn't really matter to the race. 2) He has always said stupid out of touch things, due to the groups that he has associated with through the years. Lets go back to the Peter Theil and Elon Musk thing. The reason they are in his corner is thats his group of people, thats his circle. See all the weird shit Elon says? That's the people he has been surrounded with since 2017. Against Biden, not a huge deal, as he would have silicon valley behind him, and they were already ahead. Plus making up lies? Who cares if your opponent is to old to respond to them. So that being said, JD Vance was a brilliant pick for about 6 days, until July 21st 2024, when Joe Biden dropped out of the race. Kamala being picked immediately neutralized Pro 3, as the "attack dog" mantra doesn't work against a "strong" appearing candidate former DA Kamala Harris. Pro 1 Was neutralized when the race turned and all of a sudden Peter Theil doesn't want to risk it anymore, especially with the Democrats recent crackdown on monopolistic practices in then tech sector. And now that 1 and 3 are gone, Donald has also turned on him because he isn't useful anymore. As for pro 4, the public has woken up to Project 2025 and its disastrous consequences, and is holding it as a major con around his neck. So now were only left with the 2 cons, 1 pro turned con, and a shit VP candidate. TLDR: He was a great pick at the time, but the Biden drop out ruined him as a candidate and now they are stuck with him. Lol Doing edits down here: Edit 1: Clarified that the money may not have all came from JD Edit 2: Added carification around why Con1 isnt a huge deal Edit 3: Thanks /u/CoffeeIs4Closers, added Project 2025 to this explanation
  7. I believe this was published today.
  8. The Deer Park Chamber of Commerce markets that as a feature.
  9. Agreed, but the expectation now is that we don't give up WTF TDs. In the waste years, it was a just another Saturday.
  10. I love that this is now the expectation from our fans. When the opposing shitty team scores their 1 TD for the game, we're like "WTF was that??!!!!!" Strong/Herman years, it was...
  11. I smell plastic. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/microplastics-brain-new-research-finds-plastics-olfactory-bulb-rcna171200 Microplastics can get into brain tissue, study shows The tiny scraps of plastic were found in the olfactory bulb, the part of the brain responsible for processing smell. Scientists in Brazil found microplastics in the brain tissue of cadavers, according to a new study published Monday in the journal JAMA Network Open. Mounting research over the last few years has found microplastics in nearly every organ in the body, as well as in the bloodstream and in plaque that clogs arteries. Whether these ubiquitous pollutants can reach the human brain has been a primary concern for scientists. The latest research looked at a part of the brain called the olfactory bulb, which processes information about smell. Humans have two olfactory bulbs, one above each nasal cavity. Connecting the olfactory bulb and the nasal cavity is the olfactory nerve. Some researchers worry the olfactory pathway may also be an entry point for microplastics getting into the brain, beyond the olfactory bulb. “Previous studies in humans and animals have shown that air pollution reaches the brain, and that particles have been found in the olfactory bulb, which is why we think the olfactory bulb is probably one of the first points for microplastics to reach the brain,” said lead study author Dr. Thais Mauad, an associate professor of pathology at the University of São Paulo Medical School in Brazil. Mauad and her team took samples of olfactory bulb tissue from 15 cadavers of people who died between the ages of 33 and 100. Samples from eight of the cadavers contained microplastics — tiny bits of plastic that ranged from 5.5 micrometers to 26.4 micrometers in size. In total, the researchers found 16 plastic fibers and particles in the tissues. The smallest were slimmer than the diameter of a human red blood cell, which measures about 8 micrometers. The most common type of plastic they found was polypropylene, followed by polyamide, nylon and polyethylene vinyl acetate. “Propylene is everywhere, in furniture, rugs, clothes,” Mauad said. “We know the place we are most exposed to particles is indoors, because all of our homes are full of plastic.” Matthew Campen, a toxicologist at the University of New Mexico who has studied microplastics in the brain, said the presence of microplastics in the olfactory bulb “is unique but not terribly surprising.” “The nose is a major point of defense to keep particles and dust out of the lungs,” Campen wrote in an email. “So seeing some plastics in the olfactory system, especially given how they are being found everywhere else in the body, is completely expected.”
  12. Sanders should've said, "Take the loss, pussy."

  16. Good. Fuck Traylor and his bitch ass team. Dudes talked a lot of shit for sucking so fucking bad. He's Tom Herman v2.
  17. It doesn't matter what the number is but gapping matters. There's usually a 4 degree separation between clubs. People average 3 yards per degree of loft, also 1 mph swing speed also usually is 3 yards. So there's an average 12 yards difference between clubs. Some people are 10 yards, some are 15 yards. Depends on ball striking and club head speed. A 45 degree PW for me goes 138ish yards. My 49 degree gap wedge goes 126ish yards. If my PW is now 43 degree, it now goes 144 yards, there's now a 18 yard difference between my PW and GW. If a PW is now 41 degrees, the club is now 150 yards long and now I'm 24 yards between my PW and GW. I need another GW between the 2. Also one of the big issues with the hollow body irons is the 5-7 irons go so much further than expected from the 8-PW. The step function is longer than 12 yards. There are gapping issues within the irons.
  18. Zhang with an incredible fucking putt.
