  1. With the exception of Catfish Parlor, all of those places suck. Chain restaurants are mostly dead. People under 30 aren't/weren't visiting any of those places.
  2. I don't understand houses up North do not have to drip pipes or have frozen/busted pipes problems. How are they building things differently up there versus down here? Well all the warmth is sure to keep the pipes from freezing and bursting. Issue mitigated.
  3. I'd like to see aggy or boosters try to enforce any bullshit contract language. "Yes your honor, we'd like to sue the player to pay back money because he transferred."
  4. Bama without Saban. aggy without paying the fuck out of players. Both schools found out.
  5. Receivers want to play in Sark's Offense. I'm not worried about hurting young WRs feelings. Want to play, be good. Worked for Worthy. Get the best guys you can get. Let their play dictate who sees the field.
  6. Damn. Of all the ADs in the country, tOSU looked at Bjorks "accomplishments" and thought this is the right guy for us. Seriously, I cannot think of anything positive aggy athletics has done in his tenure. And how the fuck does a guy who extended one of the worst contracts in history fail upwards, to tOSU?
  7. Roscoe's Chicken and Waffle is a couple miles away. That's gotta count for something.
  8. Here's Brisket's real unedited pic.
  9. Boo. That's too mature of you. You need to dig in and go full Derka on this position and fuck up the thread.
  10. I learned years ago on a random cold night in my new home at the time that my kitchen faucet, master BR sinks, and water coming into my tankless water heater would freeze. Hot water was frozen to all faucets, kitchen sink hot and cold was frozen. When the temps rose later in the day, everything was flowing back to normal. No pipes burst. From then, on every night where there is a forecasted hard freeze, on almost every indoor faucet, I drip hot and cold. Is it overkill, probably. Would I rather pay the extra few bucks on dripped water to avoid having to pay thousands in repair. Fuck yes.
  11. This weekend, my daughter went skiing in Aspen. Supposed to fly out of Denver today. Sections of I70 were closed for most of the day. She's been in the car for over 8 hours. They finally made it through the Eisenhower Tunnel and are now to Georgetown. Maybe another 1.5 - 2 hours to her friends place in Denver. Delta rebooked her flight to Wednesday. This storm is shitshow.
  12. Yesterday, ERCOT had a warning about this morning. The below graph shows the dotted line which was the "day ahead forecast" vs the running forecast vs the actual. So around 9AM, they expected yesterday that we would use 83.5K MW vs actual of 74.4K MW. Maybe because of the warning, whatever, we used much less than what they thought. Tomorrows forecast (below) has fluctuated all day. Forecast again is for 84.3K MW. Will we hit 84K MW when we didn't today? Who the fuck knows? Offices are open tomorrow. Will that equate to 10K increase in Demand?
  13. Last time they tried rolling blackout for the Texas grid, it didn't go so well. As long as the shit is happening while I slumber, I don't care.
  14. Well? Where is your kids' daycare and how is it not on city/county water?
  15. How much in home repairs is the grid going to cost me this time? That's a great math question for the whole family to solve.
  16. Bjork was hired by aggy in 2019. What besides the fucked up Jimbo extension has aggy athletics done in his tenure? WTF is tOSU thinking?
  17. tOSU is ready to give a guaranteed $150M, 10 year contract to Urban. They need a man stupid enough to lead the way.
  18. 8AM tomorrow still showing to be an issue. https://www.ercot.com/gridmktinfo/dashboards/supplyanddemand
  19. We're fine today. https://www.ercot.com/gridmktinfo/dashboards/supplyanddemand
  20. 8AM on Tuesday looks to be a sure outage. https://www.ercot.com/gridmktinfo/dashboards/supplyanddemand
  21. It's a holiday. There won't be many offices open. Schools out. That is the least impacting time to have an "emergency" and make their 2024 annual bonus KPI met by the middle of January.
