  1. Solid info. I will zip you a message with the plate. Thanks
  2. thanks for the insights. does anybody know if the sites that you can pay to run the plates actually give the owners info. looks like a kid driving a decent car. probably a call to the parents would settle it. If you any of you dicks drive a red genesis g70, i'm coming for you. and I know its not surprising but the police give zero shits. They do not feel the outrage.
  3. whats the play here? car was just hit while parked. Car is a tesla so it captured the incident and license plate. how do i have the other driver destroyed? Pager dick bomb is my first choice if somebody as access. thanks
  4. Space x is wild. Tesla is an amazing company. Neuralink is pretty fucking cool. And Elon is a douche. All these things are allowed to be true at the same time. I can filter through the elon douchiness and still see the generational possibilities of these companies. I wish the man would divest out of them so other people could embrace the spectacle of snatching a skyscaper sized booster out of the air.
  5. the people claiming nil funds arent a play to play mechanism are crazy or purposely pretending to have the head buried in the sand. they cant be serious with their take. just cant be. everybody on the planet knows what these wink wink deals are.
  6. I have a self directed ira through directed ira. hassle free. converted an old ira to a roth. rolled the roth to directed ira. invested proceeds into a private company through an investment partnership thats and LLC. Roth will either go to 0 or have a really high multiple so the roth wrapper for the investment will allow me to essentially have the investment tax free down the road if it hits. If it goes to 0, then i still have money for beer. your self directed ira can be either a roth or traditional. you can essentially invest in anything in a self directed ira.
  7. I wish elon wasnt such douche. His companies are fucking amazing. Wish he would step down and leave the companies so he can be a full time twitter warrior. Large percentage of people are blinded with the elon hate and refuse/cant acknowledge how amazing this is and its only 1 of 6 or so incredible companies. but i get it.
  8. when subscribing to an iptv service, do you all use your cc. I want to save some cable money cash but dont want to change my cc every month. whats the best way to pay?
  9. Mainly meant if you are unable to charge at home (apartment life, etc): It would suck ass to have to charge and wait every damn time you needed to fuel up.
  10. I have shifted to Evs and prob wont go back to ice so super bias to ev opinion coming. my random thoughts House has a tesla and a chevy bolt. The little bolt is pretty fucking heroic for what it is. amazing commuter vehicle. super cheap. bought it on a whim bc my wife started stealing the tesla. Both have been super reliable. I will flip the bolt back into a tesla once teslas can be used as a home backup (only cybertrucks right now). the Tesla just hit about 30k miles and needed its first service item. The car ran out of windshield washer fluid. 3 bucks in maintenance over 30k miles so fucking cool. Its still on its original tires. If you launch the car off every stop light then you will burn through tires bc of the torque so just depends how you drive. The violent speed of evs make them just a blast to drive. even the fucking little bolt is peppy as hell. also, non ev drivers either dont want to or cant understand the how amazingly convenient having a "gas pump" in your garage is. you wake up everyday with a full tank so range is never an issue. Roadtrips: Tesla network is so easy. Easy to take the car around the state or whatever. negatives: range is way overstated if you are talking highway speeds. around town the stated ranges are fairly accurate. ev world needs a better system to somehow illustrate this. Charging outside the tesla network is stupid. I dont get why its so difficult. summary: your next car should be an ev if your daily drive is less then the range of the car and you can charge at home. If you have to charge everyday in the wild, evs are not for you and the gas savings is actually negligible. Charge rates are inflated at superchargers.
  11. no mortgage so i can let the coverage lapse without penalty. It just feels stupid to keep cutting insurance premium checks and never get a pay out with the size of deductibles now. Talk me out of self insuring. what am i missing besides the risk of the home burning down?
  12. I'm heavily leaning on the idea to let my Home owners lapse and self insure. Talk me out of it. 1) I'm very handy and capable of fixing most things. 2) If the house burned down, It would suck but i could take the financial hit. 3) Been in the house since 2017 and even with big events that cause damage the deductible is always more then the repairs so it never pays. Just feels wasteful and irritated that the premiums have run way out of control. Premium is up to 7k a year up from 2000 in 2017. Shopped it and broker could not get a better price.
  13. I bought a chevy bolt on a whim to be a little commuter car and i absolutely love the little bastard. Incredible value packed into that little fucker.
  14. Random FYI: My parents are 70sih and got hit with/ fell for one of those stupid ass phone scams. For the people with older parents, its always good to kind of review the dos and donts of the internet, silence unknown calls on cell phones, get rid of the spam filled land line and to emphasize there is almost no reason to ever send a fucking wire of cash somewhere. And the hardest/saddest part was that they still think its a legit deal. The department of justice has a division that talks to the olds about the scams and helps them realize it. My olds didnt want to hear it from me. onwards.
