  1. I’d agree. That SKii will sound big and fat with just about anything.
  2. I’m fully on Team Port. Runge, what is that floor mat/rug you’re using?
  3. Wait, wait wait… how does he pronounce his last name?! Not like it’s spelled? Do over! (Just kidding, his name has nothing to do with any of my ideas).
  4. I’m thinking of buying some Vuarnet shades.
  5. Or Connecticut. On the coast, at least. We are NYC suburbanites but moved up here to Westport for the schools.
  6. Before or after the cocktail?
  7. The best part of this reply is “eagle-penis-eagle-dick.gif”. Absolutely no room for confusion.
  8. He just HAS to be a Gary Peterson-like troll only doing it more discreetly to grift on the come and the pass. It just can’t be real life. That drone video sounded like a more sophomoric version of the Lego Star Wars battle my five year old just narrated for me.
  9. Damn. I’m ballparking here, but I’m gonna say 4 napkins per dog. Won’t even speculate on TP requirement later.
  10. Yeah DW has never been my cup of tea but they are beyond good quality. And the hardware is bad-ass. You don’t get to be THE name in pro touring gear for nothin’ I probably don’t have enough finesse, but I personally wouldn’t notice much difference between 5 and 9 series pedals. Maybe double kick but I never play double. IMO, save the money for stacked cymbals and other cool noise-making shit. I also probably should do more maintenance but I don’t ever use any lubricant on lugs. I do make sure they’re clean and in good shape whenever I change heads. And unless you’re filming a music video for 1980s hair band, don’t polish those cymbals! (Personal opinion)
  11. Nice, JJ! And agree. DW hardware is great and rugged. I have switched over time to Yamaha hardware primarily but I had a DW kick that got the absolute shit beat out of it for years and it never failed me. And agree on Tommy. I miss that place in its older glory. I have an Austin badged Fibes kit that I’ve told the story about here. But I still have it set up as my playing kit. It has a few other pieces but I normally play the “large” setup with one rack and two floor. It’s sounds great. You know what else is gonna sound great? Those Gretches! Nice, JJ! And agree. 12. Who’s gonna bomb you? The airlines? For all the stupid little peanut jokes?
  13. Getting back to the more girly range: And this one may transcend the scope of this thread, but it’s a fucking killer song by a singular vocal talent:
  14. Professor Clements. In the Drawing Room. With the lead pipe.
  15. You need to make an appointment at an office. Even with expedited it’s 7-9 weeks (I just did mine and it came just under 8 weeks). They are unfathomably understaffed and slow right now. You’ll be on hold for like 3 hours but when they answer tell them you have booked travel within two weeks and they will try to help. (If you have to, book a refundable flight to Canada for a week out or something, then just cancel it after your appointment). A few months ago I was almost in the same pickle. For reference, the only appointments available to me were Atlanta or Scottsdale (note: I live an hour from NYC). Seriously, it might be improving a bit lately but I would not wait.
  16. Well, I’m sorry, but the Alex is a family theater. Not one of your swing joints.
  17. Apologies if the above longcats for everyone. Something got f’ed in my reply and so it embedded weird. To summarize, people who “but what about” climate change are petulant and willfully ignorant, selfish fucks relying on the logic of a spoiled five year old. Or, more concisely, modern Republicans.
  18. I don’t think I’ve seen Phil Collins listed, but Phil Collins.
  19. Oh, got it. Those might be great then. Look really sharp. And yeah, never hurts to have extras.
