  1. Can’t watch. What was it?! Fuck em up, coach!
  2. Clearly setting up Servo/Crow ‘32. Joel is hanging on just to vote for them. 🥹
  3. I have children but just to prove I’m decidedly NOT superior to anyone:
  4. Won’t someone other than incredulity think of the children!?! Woe is me!
  5. We ask that you please bear with us. You like t-shirt?
  6. People being meanies to their beloved Russia? Saying nice things about lots of brown people? France is a democracy? They are trying to ruin America but suddenly realize there are happy people in other countries, too? Who fucking knows anymore? And who cares? Fuck every Republican.
  7. Hey, take it easy…. you’re coming in a little hot, dawg.
  8. I missed the whole thing and will rewatch, but this clip… well, I’ll admit it got ever so slightly dusty in my office.
  9. You know, its understandable that a party that celebrates misogyny, racism, ignorance and crassness would create these shit heels and allow them a stage. And big names in the party (aside from MSG, Loomer, etc) generally don’t say the worst vile garbage out loud. But I think one of the most disgusting aspects of the entire Republican Party is that nobody disavows of it. You want a man card, republicans? Somebody step up and say that it’s not okay to be this disgusting and personal about any human being. Political warfare is fair game but somebody have the guts to draw some line in the sand on their leaders’ discourse. But nobody will. And I can’t see how anyone with any dignity, decency or even a modicum of compassion could listen to these fuck sticks and say, “yep, that’s my party.” (To say nothing of every other way they are a disastrous scourge on culture and humanity)
  10. Everyone has their own style so I’m not being critical at all, but since you asked, here is why for me. First, I’m not 11 feet tall. Second, my hands spend 90% of the time on hats, ride and snare and my feet are 100% on the hihat and bass pedals. I orient everything else from there which means I want as little “stretch” from the baseline alignment as possible. To me how you have it here, to play a cadence across all your toms (in a fill, for example) you’re stretching well left of snare/bass (eg, “center”) for the high tom, back to center for mid tom, then right and behind you for floor tom…. Also having to go OVER your ride cymbal to get to the right side of the kit. I favor as compact a spread as possible with as few leaps between kit components as possible. I also play squarely behind my bass drum essentially facing at about 11 pm from there and all of my kit is no further than 90 degrees in either direction (eg it’s all in front of me). Side note: I do not play a gong, as rad as that would be. Again, every one plays differently and has different height and limb proportion, so take all that with a grain of salt. The aforementioned Purdy actually reversed his rack toms from the norm - larger left, lower right - as do a lot of drummers on their basic setups. Porcaro and Jimmy Chamberlain being two of my favorites. It is also not uncommon to have a rack/floor four piece base kit with an auxiliary high rack tom off to the left. Will Calhoun used to rock that setup.
  11. I didn’t want to say anything because who knows, but I’m glad you’re looking out. Looks like Bernard Purdy and Phil Collins got drunk and were playing drumset Jenga.
  12. Look at all those tasty tracks on your computer! Do tell. Love that dark sparkle. So choice.
  13. I imagine it pretty much every day.
  14. I’m in. Need some series to make for the time wasted on the Acolyte this summer. Also, Katherine Hahn can get it.
  15. Do you ever just get down on your knees and thank god that you know me and have access to my dementia?
  16. GotDAMN! I love that shop. I’m lucky enough to get by there once or twice a year. And JJ, I’m biased against Pearl a bit to begin with and haven’t heard or seen these, but I think generally of the big makers Ludwig is the standard bearer with the vistalites. (And they just make the best kits of the mass makers not named Yamaha and not counting Sonor or DW). And I don’t know this for sure, but acrylic isn’t particularly resonant so I would think thinner would be better. Thicker would just be all attack.
  17. You can also go sans tomato juice and make a Bullshot. They are good but one or two is usually plenty.
  18. Alright, Mr. Giuliani. I know you're in there. I know you can hear me. You win, okay? You win. I can't do it any more. What d'you want from me? Apology? Alright, I'm sorry. There, I said it, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
  19. I would pour the tea in her ceremony so hard. Or something like that.
  20. Kevin’s also played a bit with Robb Kidd but maybe not for full-on Soulhat stuff. I played a show at SXSW where Kevin did a late night indoor set with Robb and they played 5 or 6 SH covers, including closing with Bone Crusher. It ripped.
