  1. Dude, my STICK BAG has wheels...
  2. Exactly. And maybe a couple of splash cymbals. And a China crash and, really, you're gonna want a Swiss crash for a lighter sound. Oh, well, and obviously a ribbon crasher and a second hi-hat under the ride for when you're heavy in the toms. I also like to keep a bell splash on the left side by my primary hi-hats for when I want that accent, but don't want to turn or am playing primarily rimshots to the left. And at minimum - MINIMUM - you need a gong behind you. Other than that, just keep it simple.
  3. This son of a bitch is ice cold!
  4. Maybe learn to shred louder? (Full disclosure: I'm a drummer and that three cymbal set-up is what I would consider a bare minimum for anything resembling rock, blues, etc.)
  5. The core spices, and even the ratios, on the beef recipe is surprisingly similar to my basic chili recipe.
  6. Most of the world aren't guitar players!
  7. That pulp can MOVE, baby! (on the multiple roles, the Poppy's daughter who won't try Jerry's pie is also one of the women in the limo in the limo episode.... even better trivia, she was the blond in Weird Science).
  8. What about Dave Matthews Band?!!!???!! I sometimes just call them DMB.
  9. I agree on the new Honda's - why the F won't they make an accord wagon here?
  10. Black, assuming it's a dark blue or navy suit. You mentioned lighter blue in which case, dark cordovan (referring to oxblood color... not necessarily cordovan leather if you don't already own them) would likely be more appropriate depending on how light the blue is; you could also hip it up a little and do a chocolate/tobacco color in pebbled or suede leather. The tan shoes look with blue isn't really appropriate unless it's a cotton, lighter color, more casual suit and even then I'd only do that if you have tan suede.... and none of that is relevant to your question anyway. All that said, I wouldn't recommend wearing a lighter blue suit in the first place to an interview with the audience you described.
  11. So we can expect pics... End of week? "Thinking of buying...." Followed by for-my-kid rationalizing (give or take 7 years). This ain't any of our first rodeos. Hey, wait, I have a four year old daughter. Dammit. Where's my wallet?
  12. That is just BEGGING for a tortilla.
  13. I love Gretsch orange. I love orange for the obvious reasons we all likely share an affinity. Hell, I played a traffic cone-colored fuck-yo-retinas-in-this-dark-club custom orange sparkle drum kit off and on for 10 years. But that green is fuckin' smoooooove, my man.
  14. Bad plus - These are vistas Peter Gabriel - secret world live Steely Dan - Aja Living colour - vivid The national - alligator Sting - all this time Journey - live in Houston I could go on and on with live albums....
  15. Well, hell, now all I can think about is an enchirito. My go-to order for the last 15 years (give or take a few) is #5 (Nachos Bell Grande) with crunchy taco, burrito supreme or DD taco supreme with no lettuce, an enchirito and a meximelt. For that matter, I don't know that meximelts are on the menu any more either. PSA: Grubhub now delivers Taco Bell in most areas.
  16. If anyone's interested in this particular topic, check out "Before the Music Dies" - it's a little dated now (related to streaming, digital file sharing, etc.), but it examines the turning point you're referring to. (Oh, and you might catch the sounds of my band at the time throughout the soundtrack, but that's just a little bonus! Their drummer was a handsome, talented sex god, from what I've been told).
  17. I always loved that OJ was one of her suggestions.
  18. An all-time great. And I think Miller's Crossing was his best role (and it's also my favorite movie... number one with a bullet). "Close your eyes ladies, I'm coming through.... .... Sister, when I've raised hell, you'll know it."
  19. Sounds delicious. And basically like parisa. Also I guess racist or "trail"ist?
