  1. All your base are belong to us.
  2. Well, well, well.... and what a great price! https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ol/B000FZYX62/ref=olp_tab_all
  3. I should elaborate that the DWR purchase was no cheaper or more expensive than you can get from others that can sell Eames, but they did have, at the time of our purchase, at least, the best shipping deal and had exact chair we wanted ready to ship faster than Herman Miller could. I agree the "within reach" bit is a misnomer, but they do have some special deals and outlet inventory, so if you're already looking to get a silly expensive chair, it's worth looking at. We also were super paranoid about buying something off eBay, etc. because we don't know nearly enough to detect fakes so wanted to play it safe.
  4. I got a poke bowl one time when I was really hungry and, ordering from delivery, I just added on every add-on they had... as I clicked on one - crab salad - I distinctly thought to myself, "I don't even like crab salad and that seems like it could make me sick from a to-go, delivery sushi place.... ah, fuck it, what's the likelihood of that happening, let's roll..." Suffice it to say, I have not nor will I ever eat imitation crab again. The worst part of this whole thread is knowing that it's sometimes the best foods that can betray you the worst. To wit, I had a chicken fried steak once (assuming that was the culprit) that barely lasted 3 hours in my system then had me inside out for about 12 hours. The weird thing about the few times I've had some food poisoning is that it's so awful when I'm in the throes of it, but then I wake up at some point and it's just completely gone.... and my main sensation is that I'm utterly starving and have no qualms about eating anything as long it's not the last thing I ate that got me sick. Like, sick for two days, barely maintaining the strength to stand, and yet immediately make a trip to Maudies and crush a bowl of queso and a Regular Dinner.
  5. Well, now hold on... Do you ever yearn, bro?
  6. We have the eames lounge chair and love it. At one point we almost succumbed to the temptation to go with a cheaper version, but there really isn't a comparable version out there. Design within Reach does a sale once a year and we just pulled the trigger after deliberating for years. We also have two eames rockers that are great. And indestructible with two little kids and a lab. Would love to outfit our bedroom in Heywood Wakefield but we can only afford to buy one thing at a time. Great thread, btw. Will read again.
  7. Was a fun first half. But just got cold when they got hot. Or warm, at least.
  8. That escalated quickly. Brisket nearly killed a guy.
  9. The color looks good and I applaud any smoked turkey effort, but, like, um, well, I mean, just what are we looking at here when we are looking at this turkey's neck?
  10. Just saw this thread. Yeah, what a force to lose. Obviously, princess bride is about as beloved as anything in out generation (and the first book I ever read in one sitting back in middle school or so), but Boys and Girls Together is a goddamn masterpiece. And his first two books were great too, especially Your Turn to Curtsy, My Turn to Bow. (disclosure, I only know the cadence of his books from Wikipedia). He was incredibly prescient with all the king's men - I've watched it at least five times since our current dipshit in Chief was elected. And if you have any aversion to dentist visits, never watch marathon man.
  11. He was struttin' around the coffee shop like Stein Erikson. Also, You might wanna get a look at that bathing suit drawer.
  12. So, but you got the shirt, right?
  13. Also, it don't make a shit because I plan to watch the 'Horns take down their second basketball school in as many days.
  14. If Hager had to publicly apologize to the "league" for what he said about OU, they would probably give me the electric chair for my personal thoughts on those toothless shitfucks. That said, to hell with west Virginia, also. I guess I'm rooting for the meteor?
  15. Blueberry blackberry. Blackberry boysenberry. Boysenberry huckleberry. Huckleberry raspberry. Raspberry strawberry. Strawberry cranberry..... Peach.
