  1. Back on track. But "hungry after dart bowl" does not compute. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  2. Looks fun as hell. And ultralight fail videos are a pretty good YouTube rabbit hope. Doesn't seem like the majority are major crashes injury-wise. Can these things pull a banner? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  3. Oh, Susanna. Indeed. Mercy.
  4. Had this dude at the end of my block this weekend. Sitting on a construction dumpster devouring a pigeon like a boss. And totally cool with people gathering and taking pics right beside him. No fucks given by New Yorker hawk. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  5. Okay, while I'm at it, another setup option I'm curious about.... I used to be a PS Vue customer and loved it and I'm thinking of going that route again; have 3 TVs in different rooms and don't want to interface via the playstation but rather stream from the app. So, I'm thinking about getting a dedicated streaming device as the any-room "remote" and just have Chromecasts on all my TVs to stream Vue (and Netflix, Hulu, etc.). Does anyone else do something along these lines?
  6. I agree with JJ. Based upon what evidence is there any indication the congressional GOP will do anything because of Trump? Their only motivation is re-election; as such, the only really scare they're paying attention to took the form of special election flips. Unless there is signficant change to to the base on Trump, the GOP ain't gonna do anything with regard to Trump firing Mueller OR Trump being impeached (or proven worthy of impeachment) before the Fall.
  7. Oh, super. I can't unpop all this popcorn.
  8. PS - I'd like to be able stream whatever movie your avatar is from.
  9. Hi, all, this may be more of a set-up question, so feel free to delete/move/ban user, etc. but on a wall mounted TV with cords hidden, how are you attaching any of these hdmi devices to your TV if they have their own power chords? We're about to move to a new house and want to mount our TV above fireplace and have built in cabinets on either side to house hardware, devices, etc. (including, at least initially, a cable box).
  10. We are broken, at least to some degree, because there aren't more Braums nationwide. I will suffer no argument on this subject!
  11. Breakin' has gotta be up there, right along side Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.
  12. While I'm firmly, FIRMLY on Team Land Cruiser, I actually like the look of the Nissan over the Infiniti version. But, really, Land Cruiser.
  13. Um, Young Guns and Young Guns II. Unforgiven is one of my all-time favorite movies, period.
  14. Also for Comedy Bang! Bang!, find any episode with Thomas Middleditch or Andy Daly. And if you're a Paul F. Tompkins fan (which I am), check out Spontaneanation.
  15. The Band and Talking Heads are 1 and 2 for me. I also had the VHS of SRV's Austin City Limits and wore that shit out. I'm also partial to this one:
  16. And now they're just blatantly trying to rip off Ben & Jerry's!
  17. EDIT: Spanky's note was way more comprehensive. Only adjustment I'd suggest is that if you're looking to actually have a drink down in financial/battery area, go SEE Fraunces Tavern, but drink at either Dead Rabbit (cocktails) or BlackTail (waterfront drinks/food).
  18. For WTC, just see the memorial. In May/June, it's starting to be tourist season and the observation deck, museum, etc. will eat up half a day and are only marginally worth it. Trinity church is worth a visit - our daughter goes to their preschool so we sometimes go to services there, but just walking around the cemetary and the chapel are pretty transporting. You're also right by the Oculus (WTC train station) that is cool to see but really it's just a shopping center. If you're with your wife, she might be interested in popping into Century 21 but I would avoid that like the plague. Also right across from WTC is Brookfield Place if you want to shop and/or grab lunch. There's a PJ Clarke's there that's right on the water with Statue of Liberty Views and yacht docks. As for the OP mid-town/pre-theater, I'm not as familiar up there, but I will say Carmines is pretty fun and the food is actually damn good. And, Marea, lulz.
