  1. When I was a kid my family and the neighbors would put on big team roping jackpots, and I would handle the chutes and I had a heeler that would bring back the steers on command. Team roping can be a touch hazardous and one of the things that happens from time to time is a roper will lose a thumb while running some rope through their hands really fast, like right before they dally, and a kink develops in the rope and takes your thumb off as it runs through it. Anyway this happened right in front of me at one of our jackpots, to a guy we knew, and we were able to put his thumb on ice and he got it sewed back on, but not before I had to fetch my dog and take the thumb out of his mouth.
  2. My father never had a job, ran cows until he died. When I was just out of college I was complaining about a bad boss and he was in the middle of giving me some (probably very good) advice when I realized out loud, "Have you ever even had a boss?"
  3. "Make sure he sees you give the horns down!" How do these geniuses know that steer isn't a Tech fan?
  4. rtdb or ttft I always thought Ehlinger's GFY play was just QB Power.
  5. Ed Hochuli officiating this game that I did not know happened in 1984
  6. The idea of this team making the tournament this year just makes me not want to watch the tournament. Rodney Terry was a popular and appreciated coach in El Paso, where I'm from. We were initially gobsmacked at the talent he identified and brought to UTEP. Players would even improve during the year, but the team would not and it just didn't look like he knew how to coach basketball and nothing has changed and I've had to watch this twice now.
  7. beat me to it, evidently he is one hell of a banjo player.
  8. Thought this was good, hard to hate on this dude (I mean, not too hard for surl)
  9. # 22 was indeed covered up on the line and was 7-8 yards downfield by the time they threw it.
  10. Did not realize that was him. Agree the poster upthread, didn't like the call against him vs ISU, also more facemask than crown of helmet.
  11. I never saw Street play, obviously seen lots of clips, but I know he ran the option, won out, and threw a no-hitter (!). So I feel like if he were 19-21 yr old today it is a solid bet he would be a stud of a "modern era" QB.
  12. Too bad we don't have a common opponent.
  13. Looking for Sugar Bowl highlights and somebody posted this. From our perspective it doesn't look that bad imo except for the sheer volume of carries he gets.
  14. I tried to watch the Burton interview but about 3 minutes in he starts bitching about how NIL is paying players "ridiculous" amounts today, and this is a problem for him. Given the amount of money he has made coaching "amateur" football I just couldn't listen to any more of it.
  15. For sure does now
  16. repost but I love how Pavia calls him out here:
