Paris/Europe in late January?
So I'll need some tips now that I've booked. We arrive on the morning of our anniversary, so I'm sure that day we'd like to chill and have a nice fancy dinner to celebrate. But we will have five full days including the first where we arrive at 7:00 a.m. I've been before but it has been almost 20 years, and I've never been as an adult with money to spend to enjoy the finer things in life. Will be looking for restaurants, hotels, and other recs now. A cooking class sounds cliché but fun.

Paris/Europe in late January?
I made the mistake of getting married in late January. We're coming up on 15 years in 2025. Initially I thought we should go somewhere warm because we live in New England. My wife is now throwing out the idea of doing Paris because we've always talked about going (I've been a few times but she's never been). I think Paris is best in warmer weather. The pros are that flights are very cheap, cheaper than the Caribbean, and hotels are much less expensive that time of year. My wife is envisioning cozy warm cafes and museums as well as enjoying a luxurious hotel, nice restaurants, and not worrying too much about the cold weather outside. Anyone have firsthand experience in the winter in Paris? I've heard mixed reviews. Any other similar locales we should consider that might be a bit warmer and more easily explored at that time of year?

Donald Trump Assassination Attempt
I'm not sure what you're asking. That action is completely on brand for Trump. Biden is an 81 year old with dementia and a movement disorder, if he did the same we'd be wondering how his health and mental status had improved so much in such a short time.

Buying tickets to 1st and 2nd round tourney games - advice?
Good advice here, was able to sit lower level corner for $18/ticket for Creighton game, although ticket master experience was all F-ed up and I missed a huge chunk of first half because reseller didn't release tickets. I'm the end I got refunded, so it was free... I'm wondering now why the second round games are still going for between $150 and $200 per ticket with 3 hours till game time.

Buying tickets to 1st and 2nd round tourney games - advice?
I'll be visiting relatives in Pittsburgh the week of the 1st and 2nd rounds and just realized that they are hosting in Pittsburgh. I'd love to take my 2 boys but was wondering about the best way to go about buying tickets. It looks like I can go on ticket master etc and get the shittiest seats for about $60 each and decent seats for anywhere from $150-450 each, which I find ridiculous given nobody knows who the hell will even be playing. Whats the best way to go about seeing these games in person from anyone here who has done something similar in the past? Wait until last minute? Buy ahead? I'd like to do 2 or maybe even all 4 games on the first day. Not sure if I'll still be there for round of 32. Thanks

CFP Semifinal: Texas vs Washington - 7:45pm on ESPN
This game never felt winnable until the final 45 seconds. It's on the defense primarily, the lack of a pass rush, horrible DB play, but also insane Penix play. But the offensive play calling was sub par as well with a complete shitting of the bed in the last 15 seconds. Quinn didn't look all that impressive either, although maybe that's because of the juxtaposition of him vs Penix. His #s weren't bad but Worthy and Mitchell, our game breakers, were non-factors all game. Washington isn't a good secondary team, there's no excuse. We really didn't deserve it but fuck if it doesn't make it feel 10x worse when we were almost gifted a spot in the national championship game in the last minute because of an injury to the Washington RB.
