Hi UT Tennis Fan, I hope you had a great week! We play our first SEC Conference match tomorrow (Saturday) at 1 pm, against Vanderbilt at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center. Vanderbilt has a strong team, and we expect a very good match. Here is a full preview. We had over 600 fans last time we played at Weller (against TCU), and it was a big boost to our team. If you are in town, I hope you will plan on being there again! If you can't make it, you will be able to follow along via the live scoring and video streaming links on the preview. After the Vanderbilt match, we are expecting the weather to warm up quickly. So it looks like a sure thing that we will be back outside at the Texas Tennis Center to take on Ole Miss on Monday at 1 pm. I realize that is a tough time, but we encourage you to come out to support if you can. Sincerely, Bruce Berque

Is her opponent ranked 100? If so, good for Char and Texas!

Very nice to see Charlotte in the line up and she seems to be doing well by just looking at the scores. I was debating about going.

Hi UT Tennis Fan, I hope you are staying warm! We just got back from The National Indoor Championships, and were looking forward to moving on to our outdoor season, but a cold snap has slammed Austin, and it looks like our 1 pm Saturday match vs Vanderbilt will be inside at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center. That match will be our first SEC Conference dual match, and we are hoping for another great crowd to help us start conference play on a positive note! The good news it that the weather is supposed to warm back up on Sunday, and it should be very nice for our 1 pm Monday match with Ole Miss (outdoors at the Texas Tennis Center). We realize that 1 pm on Monday is not an ideal time for many of our fans, but the SEC has assigned us this time, so we really do not have a say in the matter. As you may know, we wrapped up a long weekend in Dallas with 4-1 wins over #14 Texas A&M (recap) and #5 Virginia (recap), before dropping a nail biter to #1 Wake Forest. For all the details of our semifinal match please click on this recap. Timo Legout, on the strength of his outstanding play at #1 singles, has been named SEC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week! The all tournament team should be released tomorrow, but I expect that Timo, Pierre-Yves Bailly, and Oliver Ojakaar (all undefeated in singles) will be recognized. I'll be in touch again just before the Vanderbilt match with a final preview. Until then, have a great rest of your week, and Hook'em! Sincerely, Bruce Berque

Oliver has been very impressive in the 1st sets of play but has a mental lapse in the 2nd? Maybe have him switch with Jonah.

Thx! It was interesting on how many times the up ref (?) was also overruled when watching PYs match yesterday.

I'm all for the electric line calling! How many over rules do the players get til they lose a point? How many challenges are allowed?

I'm on the fence in attending on Monday. I work plus I'll be driving in from Grapevine. I was thinking of going Tuesday if Texas makes it but with the weather forecast being what it is, I might be stuck at home watching it online on YouTube. I do plan on attending the TCU match in Ft Worth and the NCAAs in Waco!

That sure was a nail biter! I got tired of hearing "Let's go Wahoos." Nice of Texas to quiet that down. Btw, SMU has a nice venue. Glad I attended.

Definitely give Pierre a shot at line 2. He's been doing great these past few matches. It was a fun environment being there today. Some matches were closer than I would have liked them to be. A&M should be stronger once their transfers get cleared to play, according to my brother.

Are there no more General Admissions tickets available for Friday night at the mlb.tickets.com website? I'm getting "This event is not on sale." However, Saturday, Sunday, and the tournament pass are still available.

The promotions and giveaways plus the theme nights and community nights were published today. No UT promotions so I'm hoping it gets added in the future. Got to say, I want a jersey night like the other schools that are scheduled.

Texas gets the #3 seed and plays #6 seed A&M on Friday at SMU in the NCAA Indoor Championships. These seeds are just for the 1 side of the bracket.

Hi UT Tennis Fan, In front of over 600 people at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center last night, we defeated TCU by the score of 4-1 in a rematch of last season's national championship After a dramatic comeback win in doubles, we got off to a quick start in singles and maintained our edge all the way through. At the time of the clinch we had an early lead in the 3rd set at #5 singles, and were up 5-0 in the first set at #6 singles. For a detailed recap of the big win over TCU, please click on this press release. Next up for us is a trip up to Dallas for the National Team Indoor Championship, which begins on Friday. I will be back in touch with more details once the draw and schedule are released. Thanks for all of your suppor!. Enjoy your Superbowl Sunday! Hook'em! Sincerely, Bruce Berque
