  1. Remember a couple of weeks ago when it was Reggie Miller going "how you want it, where you want it" as KD was rolling. WTF has happened? Is he banging a Kardashian? What else could do this to the 2nd best player on the planet? He WAS better than Lebron in last years final. This year after ONE game, no, but it is one game. The worry is he didn't look great against Houston either for the most part. It's like he has forgotten he is 7 foot tall and can get his shot against anyone. Especially when he gets a good switch with these switch everything teams. He started taking all kinds of leaning off balance shots in the Houston series and missed most of them. Now he keeps getting stripped, and being the 2nd best player right now, gets the foul call most of the time, but it's out of character. Something just seems off. Even the 3 point shooting is sub par with plenty of good looks. There's also the defensive end where last year he was blocking shots, shutting down the paint, etc. This year he can't box out on the most important free throw of the game? Of course he did go for 26, 9, 6, 3, which would be a dream game for a lot of people in a finals, and that's a testament to how good he is. That was a very subpar performance. Is it Curry rounding into form now messing him up, after he was shouldering the load the first couple of rounds? Is it the switch everything where he then goes into ISO mode against typically a smaller defender? That just stagnates the vaunted GSW motion offense.
  2. https://nypost.com/2018/06/01/behold-a-million-dollar-vibrator/ At a cost of $1 million, the Pearl Royale vibrator is a pricey way to get off.
  3. It's sad that your group is so homophobic that your friend can't just come out to you guys and be accepted. Instead he has to try to drop these crazy hints, hoping one of you will pick up on it. Help him out. Tell him you don't want to do those activities but you don't think less of him for them, and if he'd like to take a flower arranging class while in Vegas you will not be accompanying him, but you are still supportive, just as you would like him to be supportive in your ogling of tits, and consumption of large quantities of cheap booze.
  4. Old ass bands U2, typical blow off top with Joshua Tree, oversaturated everywhere. Still a few more good tunes but when you're giving your album away as a gimmick with the biggest tech company in the world you are not fighting the good fight any more. RHCP Sorry but you need Frusciante to ever have a chance of anythng again. Slightly newer Coldplay - Those first couple of albums were legit. Many great songs. The last couple, good luck finding even a single song. The Strokes - First album I can listen to any track and be happy. Since then forget it. MGMT - They had that one album that was just chock full of great tracks. Hey guys we just made it huge, everyone loves us, lets completely change our style to something even our hardcore fans will struggle with. That will be a great way to get rid of the normies. Kanye - As soon as I hear the critics slobbering all over one of his albums I know it's gonna be garbage with no hits.
  5. But they can make love out of nothing at all.
  6. Typical GOAT stat, only player to go for 50 in a finals, and LOSE. Though I totally admit, Cleveland deserved that one. Warriors play down to their opponents way too often.
  7. What's complete bullshit is we have to wait 3 more days for another game even though there's no travel. Get on with it.
  8. Remember about 100 years ago when this game was tied with under 5 seconds and Cleveland had a free throw for the lead. Good lord this had been amazing.
  9. If there was a Big Jim insurance I would give them a chance next time I'm shopping for insurance. Instead there's Jaime, and that's one of the reasons Progressive will never get my biz. Oh and NBA gonna NBA.
  10. Mark Jackson making my point from waaay back in this thread. Not having to chase Kyrie all over the planet is a big boost to Curry and Thompson.
  11. Nance Jr. plays great when he's in, big energy, solid defense, etc. But I just hate him. Not sure why but can not stand.
  12. One time a couple of my friends were at the gym just messing around. Another guy comes up wants to know if we want to play 2 on 2. Fine. This guy was incredible. Absolutely automatic from 3. Incredible handles. Dude was about 5'10" but could blow by and dunk on my 6'4" ass at will. Yet I still stole the ball from him a couple of times. He would make a fake, I was so slow compared to him that he had already made a second fake and was actually going the direction of the first fake by the time I bit on the first fake, thereby being in perfect position to poke the ball away. That's how Javale gives Lebron trouble.
  13. "Get up pussy." My wife, when Lebron was rolling around from an eye poke.
  14. Doris sounding emotional over the return of Thompson.
  15. So which leg does Zaza take out on Love?
  16. Not sure about Klay but I think I tore something in my knee sitting here in my recliner watching that replay.
  17. Boston just took Lebron to 7 without Kyrie and Hayward. Philadelphia could be salty, but this Colangelo shit is probably going to keep Lebron away from them and maybe mess up their offseason. I'm also not convinced that with Lebron they would beat GSW next year. Maybe the year after. Does Toronto have any space to do anything this offseason and actually be the threat they were hyped to be? Basically the east is not going to be the typical cakewalk, so there's no reason not to consider the west. That leaves Houston or go to the Lakers with Paul George. I don't think Paul George, Lebron and the Lakers are going to knock off GSW, probably not even Houston. So if Lebron wants to win right now, Houston it is. I would REALLY want to resign Capella. He completely disrupted GSW. They could not box him out. For every rebound he got I bet he tipped a ball back to a teammate for another, or went over the top of GSW and forced it to be ball out on them. He's getting better and better offensively. Maybe Olajuwon is waiting to make sure he's going to be around a few years before teaching him the dream shake. 33 year old point guard coming off multiple hamstring injuries. Who wouldn't want to give a max contract for that.
  18. Why would that matter? This is defacto GM Lebrons' custom built team not Jordans. Not that Jordan is/was any good at front office, he clearly is not. But just to be ridiculous, would Lebron win any more on the Bulls? No. The dude whines his ass off now in this soft ass version of the NBA, he would have been T'd up for that shit back then. And yeah, Jordan probably would win a few more because he would be chewing asses out in the locker room, embarrassing peeps, threatening, whatever it took to motivate the scrubs. Of course the scrubs would know Jordan is going to be there for them not just this year but next as well. Lebrons scrubs have seldom had that assurance.
  19. Goddamit people stop making me agree with Derka. 1985-86 NBA playoffs. Bulls crushed 3-0 in the first round by the Celtics. Clearly Jordan sucks. Except he missed almost the whole season with a broken foot. Came back and scored a playoff record 63 in a 2OT loss. You remember that footage where Bird is on Jordan and he does some between the legs stuff, fakes the drive and hits the smooth jumper. I think it was that game. Surly: All he does is drive to the hole and dunk, that's his whole game. Jordan: Hold my beer. Develops unstoppable fadeaway jumper and midrange game, as well as barely passable 3-ball. 1986-87 George Gervin and his 16 points retired. Quentin Dailey and his 16 points gone. Jordan goes for 37, and carries a garbage roster, more garbage than anything Lebron had, to the playoffs, swept by the Celtics. Surly. Garbage? Dave Corzine was the truth before A.I. was the truth. Also Surly: 37 points a game, is pretty good, but the guy cannot play defense. Jordan: Hold my beer. 1987-88 Wins defensive player of the year. winds up 9 time all NBA defense first team. Playing all that defense took it out of him on offense. Only averaged 35. Played with two rookies, Ho Grant and Pippen. Pippen was a long way from being Pippen. Made 2nd round of playoffs, lost to Detroit in 5. The Celtics only took Detroit to 6. Lake show beat Detroit in 7. 1988-89 Lakers made it to the finals undefeated. Chicago lost to Detroit 4-2. Detroit beat the Lakers 4-0. In other words, a case could be made Bulls were the 2nd best team. Surly: You ain't shit if you don't win a championship. 1989-1990 Lost to Detroit in 7, Detroit beats Portland in 6. Surly: Jordan is soft as shite, he's all flash. He will never beat the bad boys or any tough playoff team. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Rules 1990-91 Beats Ewing, Starks, Oakley tough guys 3-0 first round. Beats Barkley lead Philly 4-1 (with Mahorn). Crushes Detroit 4-0, Crushes Lakers 4-1. Surly: Lakers were getting old, Kareem was shell of former self.( yeah Bill Cartwright was spry as a mofo) Also Surly: Magic was one of the top 3 of all time and was playing some of his best ball. 1991-1992 Taken to 7 games by Knicks in 2nd round. Full on thuggish Starks, Jordan rules stuff. Beats Portland 4-2. That Portland team was tough. Drexler averages 25 that year. Duckworth clearly better than the Bulls inside. Terry Porter better at the point. Also very hateable with Ainge off the bench. 1992-93 4-2 over Barkley lead Suns. Ho hum. Weird series though, Chicago beat Phoenix the first 2 in Phoenix. Yeah Phoenix had home court because they were the best team regular season team that year. Then Phoenix took 2 out of 3 in Chicago. Jordan went for 55 in the game they won at home. Then Chicago closed it out with a buzzer beater in Phoenix. Takes a year off to try baseball. Who is this person in any sport that has retired at the top of their game, driven around on a minor league bus for a year, comes back and reclaims the throne? Surly: Well in 1874 there was this jezzywassa player from Bengali. Besides it was probably a gambling suspension, Jordan is a POS. No argument there. 1994-1995 Lost to Orlando in 2nd round of playoffs. Jordan only came back late in season and wasn't in form. That Orlando team was legit. Shaq, Hardaway, Nick Anderson and Dennis Scott were better than Chicago's best 4. They were not better than Olajuwon. Dream crushed Shaq that series. 1995-96 Thus begins the 3 year stretch Surly thinks of as the Bulls, with Rodman, Ron Harper, Longley or some other spare at the Center, and Kukoc strong off the bench. Agree, these were very good teams, all starting 5 and bench. And then Jordan retired again as the Bulls blew the team up. Too bad, would have loved to see them against the Spurs twin towers team the next year in the finals. 3rd trip back to the league. Old grandpa Jordan came back and played for the Wizards. Averaged over 20 a game, even though he was clearly a shell of his former self. Torn cartilage in his knee ended the season. Came back the next season at age 40, still averaged 20 points on 44.5% shooting. His vertical was a joke at that point. I think my peak 20s vertical might have even been better. Lebron is 33 now and we hear how he's done it for so long. Jordan was 33 during the 5th of his 6 championships. Yeah he was older when he came in the league(sorry, he had to help NC win a championship), missed most of a year with a broken foot, missed another year playing baseball. He was also a guard, and played a helluva lot of defense and played in a MUCH tougher league. Or perhaps you can show me the Wiki article on "Lebron rules."He got the shit beat out of him much more than Lebron, and I guarantee you his miles ran per game was higher than Lebrons. Triangle offense, moving without the ball, playing defense etc. Both are great players, but Jordan was clearly better to practically all of us that saw both. If you didn't see him, sorry watching Come Fly With Me vhs rips on youtube doesn't convey how good he was.
  20. I went to this about 2013. Stood at the top just because of where we parked. https://www.gettyimages.no/event/cheese-rolling-in-wake-169675807#/contestants-in-the-mens-race-chase-a-cheese-down-the-steep-gradient-picture-id169553497 that's me in the orange behind the S in "thanks", my wife next to me for all you wanting pics. That hill is even steeper than it looks, and it has huge ruts from erosion. Some guy stepped in a hole on a run that day and fucked his leg. It was so steep he had to kind of slide down partway to get to a spot where they could get him on a stretcher and get him the rest of the way down. Some guy dressed in a stars and stripes body suit won his heat, first American to win. Typical pussy Brit govt. tried to shut it down because it's too dangerous. To their credit the locals said FU and just showed up and did it, though they used a styrofoam cheese that year instead of the real thing.
  21. Think of all those open 3s Boston clanked in game 7. Now imagine Curry, Durant, Thompson shooting them. This Cavs team might be better on defense just because of no Kyrie, but Kyrie was wearing asses out at the other end, George Hill is not. Kevin Love is still going to get owned by Draymond. Hot take warning, they might be better with Jeff Green. Tristan is no Capela. GSW might even get to play some of their spares at C. Only negative is no Iggy to guard Lebron, but it's not like they did anything with Lebron last year and still won easy.
  22. Lulz was about to start this thread. A few weeks ago I would have said Warriors in 4. The dog shit way GSW has looked against Houston, plus the refs flipping from GSW to Lebron makes me think somehow it will stretch to 6.
