  1. I was under the impression that all US flags have 13 stripes and 50 stars?

Early Access to Testosterone Therapy in Transgender and Gender-Diverse Adults Seeking Masculinization: A Randomized Clinical Trial The Abstract: Two excerpts (the Discussion and the Conclusion), and I will add no further commentary to the research, so as to not be accused of being a propagandist lmao. The details can all be found at the link I provided.
  3. How the fuck do you know?
  4. He, uh, doesn't consider them his neighbors, so... I'm sure his neighbors are fine with it
  5. Go see Poor Things. Obv it's not like...an upclose shot of her vagina. But she's in full body nudity or topless a remarkable amount of time for the movie. It's pretty besides the point though, because her acting job in this is transcendent.
  6. Have seen it three times so far, and I wouldn't mind a fourth. There is so much to take in! What a film. What acting from everyone, but especially Emma Stone, holy shit. At every showing, I had people walk out during the brothel segment. Curiously, morally outraged Boomers and frightened-of-sex Gen Zers were both well represented. Was also not expecting to see Emma Stone's pussy on a big screen in 2023, but well, here I am anyway.
  7. The Iron Claw was good, even if incomplete and sports bio formulaic at times. Nailed the casting on Fritz for sure. Everyone did great acting jobs. Will probably get a major nomination or two, but won't win anything. ETA: while they nailed the casting of Fritz, the movie was still far too kind to him. What a piece of shit he was lol. Tragic that Kevin still defends him to this day, but I sort of get it.
  8. We're a state of loser rubes lmao
  9. Shut the fuck up and go away.
  10. Abe would know
  11. Holy fuck dude, how do you not see the difference?
  12. The intention was to show that when you auctioned your daughter off to a husband for money, that the buyer was getting a virgin and not some used up slut that might let questions about the paternity of the children which might them fuck up property and titles. God you're so gross even with the beard.
  13. Nurses, especially those working within a hospital milieu, are every bit as face-to-face with the worst of society that cops are. Except we don't have badges, guns, handcuffs, or legal authority. While there is some recourse that can happen if you're assaulted by a patient (which I have been, many times), in terms of the patient being moved elsewhere, being kicked out of the hospital (takes a lot), or arrested (takes even more), the amount of work that is demanded of nurses in a hospital right now plus the legal duty we have to make sure that those tasks/orders are taken care of means that it usually isn't worth our time to make anything happen other than the patient being assigned to another nurse. And sometimes that isn't even worth making happen because of the amount of paperwork/reporting involved. Even getting a patient who is unable to reason (DTs, for example) in restraints adds a huge task burden to the nurse who is taking care of them. Sometimes I'd rather just not turn my back on them again than have to deal with the constant assessment and paperwork. I worked trauma/critical care for ~7 years or so. I've been kicked, punched, spat on, pissed on, called every gay slur in the book, illegally recorded, sexually assaulted, and threatened with a knife while in the course of a shift. Not once did I ever see a patient put into violent restraints (meaning minimal voluntary movement, facial restraints, that sort of thing), nor did I ever press charges on anyone who violated me. I also don't know anyone who did. No one has the time, and a lot of people lose their mind while in the ICU, legitimately and otherwise for whatever reason, so there's also always a thread of "well maybe they don't know what they're doing." Administrations love to talk big about taking these sorts of things seriously, but the underlying attitude is, as always, deal with it.
  14. Statistically being a nurse is more dangerous than being a cop, and my license can get taken away for forgetting to write something down. Fuck cops.
  15. Not voting at this point is complicity.
  16. Yes
  17. Lmao retirement
  18. Totino's party pizzas slap idgaf what anyone else thinks
  19. The same reason poor Republicans vote against their own interests. They think they're sticking it to the "bad ones" and that nothing unfortunate will happen to them, so they need to go along to keep their place in their social structure.
  20. Well, it sounds like you know what you should do to feel less poor then
  21. Work harder. It's easy.
  22. I hope you're right. All I know is that various rights of mine have been continually eroded and lost pretty much for the entirety of my adult life at this point, and they don't really show signs of slowing down, so please have a little grace for those of us who don't have much reason to be hopeful.
  23. That's a person walking on their toes
