  1. Blasphemous
  2. Not if their stats have anything to say about it
  3. I mean, not dead from like entropy but that fucker could have a stoke at any moment.
  4. There is no way to fight that. It's like when my father responding to me with "Joe Biden is a rapist" when I pointed out what Trump is.
  5. That seems low
  6. And it only took almost three years to get there!
  7. Fair enough. I appreciate you sharing. The majority of my contact with the homeless is with people who are very new to it and in Austin, and I was being very serious about the difference in response I would get using the respective word. Perhaps there is a contextual difference there. Regardless, thanks.
  8. I don't disagree with either of you about the term, but it takes very little effort to switch terms. I definitely still use homeless at times without thinking, but I try to say unhoused because I've had to ask plenty of people to their faces whether or not they have a roof over their heads, and I get a lot fewer hurt and wounded looks with unhoused than I do homeless. Like I said, it offers more dignity to those affected, and with our heartless and cruel society, it is down to us as individuals to help those people maintain their dignity. Switching a word as often as I can is a pretty effortless way to help
  9. Unhoused provides a little more dignity and little less stigma than homeless.
  10. I have listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it, yes. Just let it flow over you. But not everything is for everyone and that's fine.
  11. Try the audiobook, Donkey.
  12. Shit like this is why people think you are AnimalTobacco lmao
  13. And I've seen people argue for cutting programs they themselves are on because the programs also help the wrong kinds of people. So what?
  14. They favor free healthcare for them and people like them. Not universal healthcare. And they'd rather have the shitty system we have now than people not like them also get free healthcare
  15. Wish I could go back and see it for the first time again. A masterwork of direction imo
  16. Yes, it's one of the best films ever made. You can stream it on the Criterion Channel and it might still be on HBO.
  17. I used that word the other day with my dad and he shut up real quick.
  18. Spike Lee owns. Wonder (and hope) if someone is able to grab it. (Highest 2 Lowest is dope)
  19. And yet not surprising in the least.
  20. The absolute shamelessness of Fox News somehow still shocks me.
  21. What does Kelly McGillis have to do with my still very active crush on Alicia Silverstone?
  22. PV is a great flick
  23. Sure, but that's not what everyone else does. They just flat out agree with the right's stance on trans kids and act like it's common sense.
