  1. He could've had a legion of 50 year old men in the Houston suburbs calling him "Streety" that are willing to die for him. He could've had it all. What an idiot.
  2. This is actually true because if you combine all the posters on this thread, Helobious' intelligence alone weighs the average down to a step above an insect.
  3. I think there's something to be said for not being the jihad game for every team on the schedule. Florida players, for instance, are less likely to whip themselves into a frenzy to play us than every team in the legacy Big 12 and the same goes for most of the schools we play now. You don't hear a bunch of big bad Texas quotes from opposing players/coaches midweek.
  4. We’re almost certainly winning out in the regular season if Quinn plays at the level he played this weekend. We are a far better and more talented team than Arkansas and will only lose if we shoot ourselves in the foot. Their pass defense is poor and we will get pressure on whichever schmuck they roll out at QB.
  5. Jackson Arnold has actual shit for brains, aside from being a terrible quarterback, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more brain dead player.
  6. Not really sure how this is relevant to what I posted, maybe try to sleep it off pal.
  7. UCLA’s linebackers are legit, especially the walk on white boy. Extremely weird team.
  8. I badly want Bolden to have some big moments the rest of this year. That guy blocks hard for his size and gives maximum effort when he's on the field, even though he's probably had a lesser role than he expected.
  9. Not a novel take, but hard to get too pressed when we have Wingo/Moore, maybe an outside shot at Golden, coming back and 3 top 100 freshmen coming in. Add in the fact that we've pulled AD Mitchell, Bond and Golden in the portal in recent years. We've got plenty of players qualified to receive Quinn's 2 yard dump offs this year, he's not really needed.
  10. If Quinn is walking on the field when we have a very capable backup, I'm giving him zero benefit of the doubt for injury.
  11. Maybe Elko thought it looked life threatening stupid sip.
  12. Extremely funny that Quinn is just cashing massive NIL checks, sitting out games here and there, coming back and playing like shit and blissfully unaware that he’s cratering the mental health of some of Surly’s most vulnerable citizens.
  13. List of potential culprits: 1. Tsips 2. Woke bias from ESiPN 3. Greg Sankey 4. a wide ranging conspiracy involving multiple factions
  14. He was pretty impressive. If we can patchwork an interior DL together again next year the defense should be nasty. Simmons/Burke on the edges, Hill/Lefau at LB, Muhammad/Black at CB and Williams (if healthy)/McDonald at safety would be about as much talent as we've ever seen.
  15. Keep going guys, I think I’m three more pages away from figuring out if Quinn Ewers is good or bad.
  16. Give Quinn the chance to come out of the gate hot this Saturday and if he looks like he did against OU/Georgia you bench him permanently. My main concern is that he's never really displayed consistency game to game or even within games, which speaks to a lack of focus, ability to process and/or mental fortitude. He's started around 30 games here and he's only had the offense humming for 4 quarters in a handful (OU '22 (lol), Bama '23, Michigan '24, there have been a few other but those come to mind). So many of our best offensive performances during his tenure were a result of our NFL running backs leading the way. I think Sark is probably taking the right approach, but we have five must win games ahead of us and teams don't have to respect our running game that much or our deep ball at all with Quinn out there. If he's not making the veteran plays by stepping up into the pocket, avoiding self sacks, getting through his reads, avoiding braindead interceptions, etc., he brings nothing to the table that Arch doesn't.
  17. presumably because they still have Tennessee and Ole Miss and the model doesn't think a tiebreaker will be necessary.
  18. The thing that’s funny to me is all these dope programs are pining for the days where Bama/Georgia/OSU/Clemson repeatedly punked them. They were all fine being Saban’s whipping boys for a decade. Fuck all that.
  19. Shoutout to Velton Gardner. Came here for a degree and physical therapy.
  20. Yep. We should have a ton of success through the air in this game. I'd love to see Wingo more involved in this game as well, there should be a few big plays for the taking.
  21. Georgia's linebackers are at a different level athletically than both OU's and Michigan's and they have more speed in the two deep all over the field. That being said, I absolutely agree that we shouldn't struggle scoring. I'm not sure there's a team out there whose pass rush is effective enough to shut us down.
  22. Don’t shoot the messenger of the messenger.
  23. Blake Munroe said in the OTF thread that he fully expects him to make it on campus.
  24. There’s really not much to analyze in this matchup because we are so clearly better. There’s a chance that turnovers, injuries and ref fuckery happen and we lose, but the delta between our offenses is so great that it really shouldn’t be close. Reminds me so much of the Michigan game. I’m mostly curious to see if our OL can decisively win the battle again with a pretty damn good DL.
