  1. Not Gary, Indiana related, but it's really odd to me that the perceptions of Turntine and Ojo appear to be on opposite trajectories. I guess Ojo is a more toolsy player, but Turntine continued to perform very well on the field this year. Feels like the industry is really overthinking it on Turntine, that guy is as close to a sure thing as they come IMO.
  2. If we don't get Turntine, someone needs to do a wellness check on Gerry Hamilton.
  3. Basically any combination of the OL being recruited would be spectacular. If we get Turntine + literally any 2 of the other tackle prospects, that is a tremendous haul.
  4. Does Fanduel have odds on Chace Sims for Heisman? Seems like it might be wise to get in on the ground floor given what I'm hearing from my scouts on TexAgs. Seriously though, why is it an accepted fact over there that he's going to be an immediate contributor, no one is even pushing back on that narrative.
  5. Put him in the calculator after this strong impression.
  6. If you weren't expecting this, you clearly have not been paying attention. I'm on my way to Lake Charles today to cash my BO&W murdered by his wife for telling her to take the trash out in the snow ticket.
  7. I think that if Novosad outplays Moore in spring, they're more likely to hit the transfer portal.
  8. Maybe he's developed tremendously in the past year, but I think starting Dante Moore could be a disaster for Oregon next year. He has very limited mobility compared to Nix/Gabriel and looked terrible, even by freshman QB standards, at UCLA. He has a subpar arm but nice touch in the short game, which at least is a good fit in the Oregon offense. It will be fun to monitor the post-spring QB market from the sidelines, as I think you'll see some desperation from at least two of the schools you mention.
  9. I know one of the assistant coaches at Alamo Heights, he said Terry is a good kid, was well liked in the program and is the best player he’s coached by a wide margin. That being said, even after being around the kid for years, he wasn’t confident about his best position in college, but landed on receiver/maybe a sort of halfback role. Thinks he’ll really benefit from college S&C. All that to say, he essentially parroted what’s been said on this board the past year.
  10. When i saw the blurb hyping up Parker Livingstone I wept for Arch.
  11. Very curious to see if we portal in a starting-caliber RB with Blue moving on. Choice, to his credit, seems to really like and have loyalty to his guys, but if you swapped RBs in the Cotton Bowl we’d be playing for the title right now.
  12. Between Goosby, Hutson, Robertson, Neto and the young guys like Baker, Cruz, Kibble, we should have enough that it’s a solid unit next year. Getting Baxter back in pass protection and Arch’s size/mobility helps too.
  13. Aggies are a decent team but my god what an awful play style to watch.
  14. This team would be dangerous if we had a halfway decent 5. Shedrick is an awful player.
  15. Our defensive line is better than Tennessee's or Oregon's and our linebackers are quite a bit better. I think we can create some of the same problems that Michigan presented them. Their offensive line is gettable, although Chip Kelly's run blocking schemes might be his greatest strength. We will need turnovers, but more importantly, we need our offense to hold possession of the ball. We need to be close in plays and time of possession. I'm all for explosive plays, but the name of the game is limiting three and outs. Obviously that's all high-level stuff, but i think there's a roadmap and we absolutely have the personnel to beat them.
  16. FYI, there’s a great thread on the Football board where our best and brightest are trying to get to the bottom of whether Quinn is good or bad. They’re getting really close, just need a few more pages of discussion.
  17. If we couldn't make fun of mentally disabled people, this entire thread would cease to exist.
  18. I don't think AI can perfectly recreate the precise type of mental illness that emanates from an Aggie post like that. That being said, there are suspiciously few misspellings and most of them are functionally illiterate.
  19. You just know some fatass 79 year old Aggie spent like 4 hours on this. He should be checked into a mental institution. God they are so fucking bizarre.
  20. What if Manning comes in and immediately runs for a 70 yard touchdown and then does so on every single ensuing offensive play from scrimmage Then what do you do?
  21. Is this bankrolled by Wasserman? My understanding was that UCLA football (not basketball) was way behind on NIL. I know there was some change to the primary NIL entity so maybe some change associated with that.
  22. One that I never see discussed is UC Santa Cruz, it’s in forest and essentially on the beach. Impressed me enough that I almost decided to go there.
  23. Under the current team leadership, I'm not worried about this team overlooking anyone. May help a bit that it's ASU waiting on the other side too, but we've jumped out to a lead in virtually every game the past two years. I can't remember the last time that I thought the team looked flat because of the opponent (not counting games where they're obviously up for it and just shit the bed like OU/OU/UW/Georgia).
  24. Evergreen, feel like you could make this same comment about him basically every week.
